Who: Logan and anyone else
What: Logan gets dumped in Lawrence
Where: City streets
When: Late morning of the 12th
Rating: PG. Logan's not exactly Mickey Mouse
Wolverine was confused. One minute he had been stabbing the woman he loved, Jean Grey, through the heart with his adamantium claws. Then he was suddenly here. Wherever the hell here was. He sniffed the air, his eyes open for any sort of danger. All he smelled was the usual hustle and bustle of a city in the US. Definitely not New York size, but still able to be classified as a city nonetheless. He glanced down at himself and frowned. His uniform was whole again. How the hell had that happened?? When he had been making his way towards Jean, her powers had kept ripping it apart, at least the jacket...and his chest.
He moved down the street to not be so exposed and attract any unwanted attention. At least until he figured out where he was. Spotting a clothing store, he slipped in and easily swiped a long coat to hide his X-Man uniform. Uniforms attracted attention. Though so did theft so he kept that to a minimum for now. Slipping out of the store, he pulled the coat on. Buttoning it closed enough to hide most of his leather clothing, he began exploring the city, trying to find clues as to where he was and what had happened. He had to make sure the rest of his team was safe and okay. They had already lost enough. They didn't need to think they lost him too.
What I wouldn't give for a cigar right about now... he thought as he walked. He glanced at a newspaper as he passed. Some town called Lawrence, Kansas. Well, that was special. He knew where he was. Now he just needed to find a way to get in touch with the rest of the X-Men and figure out how he had gotten all the way to Kansas from California. Maybe Jean's power had thrown him here. But how was that possible?
I wish Chuck was here. He'd be able to explain this.
Logan barely shivered at the cold air. He was use to Canadian winters. This was nothing, albeit it was still cool out. He needed to find a way to communicate with the others though. That had to be his priority now. Spotting a cell phone distributor, he walked over and fiercely negotiated with a salesman to let him have a phone for free. The salesman wisely obliged Logan and the mutant walked out of the store.
