WHO: Lavender Brown and Seeley Booth
WHEN: July 17, 2011 | 10:30 PM
WHERE: Gogung Korean BBQ Restaurant aka what used to be Lavender's Cafe
WHAT: Lavender breaks into her former cafe and has a look around.
STATUS: Incomplete
RATING: TBA

It was strange being back again. Everything was so hazy, and yet somehow the place felt like home. Just like she had felt at Hogwarts, before the war had started. Before they had been forced to go into hiding, before...

She still had bruises from her fall, which was the last thing she really remembered. She remembered falling, and those yellow eyes - those horrible yellow eyes, which were more monster than human.

Then she slept and dreamed, at least she thought she had been dreaming. Now she knew she hadn't been and it was making her head swim. She remembered bits of Lawrence like an old movie. An old movie with shaky black and white pictures and no sounds. She remembered Ron and Steph. Ruby and Sam. And she remembered Booth.

She also remembered once having a cafe, which was where she was now. It was different now, a bright orange neon sign said something in Korean where her name used to be. She didn't feel anything though, not anger, not sadness, instead she bit her lip and stared up at it.

It was a clear night and so silent Lavender's ears were ringing. She almost felt dizzy, like she was going to collapse. Whenever she closed her eyes she could hear, see and even smell the War. The smell of burning flesh was not something you forgot. Whenever her eyes were open she was in a dream world - a dream world which at the same time was real.

She had managed to get rid of her Saint Mungo patient robes by exchanging them with a homeless person. Sure she was now in a pair of horribly green baggy velvet pants and a sparkly nearly see through top, but there were worse things, right?

The sign on the door said closed, and as Lavender took out her wand she silently wished that the people didn't have an alarm system. That was one thing she didn't think she could simply hex away.

"Alohamora,' she whispered. The door opened with a soft click, and Lavender stood frozen for a few minutes. When there was no ringing, yelling or dogs barking she figured it was safe to go in.

It was so different, nothing like it had been before. The walls were a different colour, and the decor had changed. There was no sign she had ever owned the place before. For a split second she wondered if their food was bad, and hoped it was, but only a second. She dropped down into a chair trying to steady herself and the dizziness continued and her head began to pound.

She was home, but at the same time she wasn't. Where was she? More importantly...what now?

Booth knew exactly where Lavender was going. He didn't even have to guess. She was going to go back to the cafe she thought she still owned. He held onto it as long as he could before he became solely responsible for his son's well being. He had been fine with it to an extent, Lavender was gone. Selling the place had brought in a little extra cash where the FBI failed to do so, but now she was back and he didn't know how he was going to tell her it belonged to someone else now.

Leaving Parker asleep in his bedroom and making sure he was safe one last time, Booth made his way down to his crossover that was parked on the curbside of the complex. He turned the keys in the ignition and the car gently hummed to life. It was a comforting sound to Booth, even still in a strange world of mystic powers and demons to know that cars still worked the same; it was just comforting. No more to it then that. And maybe a guilty love between him and machinery. That was another story for another time. His mind was focused on the road ahead. It had been a while since he had gone back to the cafe, but all the turns were still second nature. He didn't even have to think where to go. He just let auto pilot take over in a directional sense of things.

Like clock work he arrived with no issue at the cafe that had turned Korean. It looked closed-except one open door. Which he gave a quiet and exasperated sigh. She was in there all right. Climbing out of his car, with his gun drawn he skillfully maneuvered toward the door. Checking for anything shifty, and then inside. There was no movement, nothing to suggest a threat. Still out of habit, Booth kept his gun out. He came upon the room where he spotted the familiar blond.

"Hey." He spoke out in a whisper and lowered his weapon, nodding his head toward the door behind him. "We need to get out of here. " His voice barely audible, but loud enough for her to hear.

"Do you think someone should tell them, the wall colour looks like day old vomit?" Lavender said in way of greeting. She slowly got up out of the chair and turned to look at Booth. A wave of emotions and memories hit her, and immediately sat back down. They had lived above this place, with his son Parker. There was something about the future she could barely remember other than it was muddled and scary. She had run away at some point, where too that she couldn't remember, maybe it would come back to her. Maybe it would be better if it didn't.

"I mean, not the best colour to have in a restaurant of all places, right?" she managed a tiny smile. Merlin, this was all so strange. Suddenly she realized how tired she was, and how much she wanted a nap. Even though she was positive she had spent the last week or so in bed sleeping. Isn't that what happened after someone had a fall like that, they slept? If they didn't die first of course.

She had no idea what to say now. What could she say? She had no idea how long she had been gone, what had happened, she was still trying to wrap her head around being back and the vauge memories. This sounded like something in on of her mother's ridiculous Muggle shows, The Twilight Zone.

"Ridiculous question, maybe but..." she hesitated her brow furrowing slightly. "Whats the date?"

Seeing Lavender should have brought up emotion, but when it came to emotions he was pretty well tapped out. He did however manage to at least give her a small smile in return before his eyes shifted toward the hallway behind him at the thought that he heard a noise. It was only the sound of wood floors groaning as they shifted. He heard no footsteps or voices, so he relaxed slightly. His gun lowered down to his chest and he looked at her. The look on his face was fairly obvious it was a desperate attempt to get her to mentally start standing up so they could leave. "I don't think they'd appreciate that after hours. Can we go now?" He urged. He really didn't want to be caught breaking in without reason or probable cause. Even he had a boss to answer to.

"Twenty eleven. " He responded quietly. He was trying to be understanding, but breaking laws made him twitchy. Even after all this time of working with the Winchesters, he still didn't like it. His job even had a funny taste to the back of his throat on occasion. He bent the law so many times for the sake of the apocalypse, or the "bigger picture" as Sam liked to put it. That didn't mean he enjoyed it.

If he really needed to he could lie his way out of their situation if they were caught, but it would just be another thing on his conscious that he would have to live with. His head was already a very unfun place to be thanks to all the drama surrounding Kansas.

"Oh Boothy," Lavender rolled her eyes. "Don't you know that's what memory charms are for?" she asked jokingly. She never would actually use the charm on anyone, at least not unless she absolutely had too.

She finally stood up, running a hand through her hair and grinning at Booth. "Right then, where too?" She was half tempted to ask about booze, or hockey, or Parker, or something. Wouldn't that be the polite thing to do? But then the details were so fuzzy still she'd probably mess her question up.

"Twenty eleven," Lavender repeated. She had forgotten the whole time thing, it has always been so confusing. Some things really never changed it seemed.
