Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:bonnie bennett, caroline forbes, damon salvatore, elena gilbert, elphaba, galinda

Who: Elphie, Caroline, Elena, Damon, Galinda and Bonnie
What: Rescuing Bonnie!
When: Late afternoon February 6, 2011
Where: Place where Bonnie's being held
Rating: R because there will be fighting, death, blood and language. And possibly some other rated R worthy violence.

After having a really long discussion, they finally were ready to get Bonnie. Thanks to her vision, Elphaba had made sure everyone understood what would be waiting for them when they arrived. Bonnie had been kept in a a warded cage, so she was going to expect the place to be either warded or have traps all around it. And in the end, she'd given in to letting Elena and Galinda come with. She knew Galinda could, hopefully, handle herself, it was Elena she was worried about, but she knew the longer they argued, the less chance Bonnie would be alive when she got there. So they'd gotten things in order, armed themselves and headed off to the place. Elphaba had done some more research on the magic in this world, wanting both her and Galinda to be fully prepared to do their best at unraveling any spells and wards they came in contact with.

Elphaba didn't use the charm spell to degreen herself. She didn't want to use it and be on a time schedule of getting out there. And she wanted Bonnie's captors to see her for who she truly was. Though for once, she did not wear her black dress. She wore jeans and a shirt, giving her freedom of movement. Her long dark hair was braided to keep it from getting in her way. Once they reached the place, she glanced at the others, then looked around the perimeter. She didn't see any wards outside, perhaps because they didn't want to tip anyone off about their being there. "I don't see any wards out here, so let's move, but be careful. If you see anything that looks like a ward, tell me and Galinda so we can disable it." She wasn't exactly sure how well she could disable wards, her powers didn't really work that way, and the magic of this world was still something she hadn't figured out yet. But she hoped that Galinda would be able to work that if needed.

Taking a deep breath, Elphaba stepped up to the door and tested the knob, finding that it was open. She opened it carefully and when the room on the other side was dubbed clear of people, she stepped inside, keeping her eyes and ears open. She didn't want to get caught off-guard. The things she saw in the room, however, set off the alarms in her head. There was evidence of black magic. She walked over to a table where there seemed to be the makings of some type of drug. A slight growl came from deep in her throat and she glowered at the stuff. Oh, these witches were going to pay for this.

As Elphaba closed in on the witch she'd thrown to the ground, her anger was still rising. The athame was still clutched tightly in her hand, but instead of delivering a killing blow, she sank the blade into the witch's shoulder, causing the woman to scream in pain. Elphaba laughed, a cold, harsh laugh. "You don't like how that feels? Oh, too bad. It's the least you've got coming to you for what you've done to my friend!" She jerked the athame out of the witch and was about to deliver another blow when she heard a cry of pain. She didn't need to ask who it was, she recognized the pitch. Elphaba froze in place and for a few moments, and everything stopped. She didn't notice the look Elena gave her or that the brunette ran into the other room. She didn't notice the witch at her feet scrambling away from her, hand pressed over her open wound. "Galinda!!" Elphaba cried, then her anger surged out of her like blood from a severed artery.

Spinning on her heel, Elphaba left the wounded witch behind her and she ran into the other room to get to Galinda's aid. By the time she got there, she saw the blonde witch had put a bubble around her attacker. Elphaba snarled and ran at the witch, rendered immobilized by the bubble. The athame sank into the witch's prone stomach, the blade driving in as far as it could. Elphaba glared harshly into the woman's eyes, which were wide with pain and fear. It wasn't clear whether this was a reaction to having been gutted or to the fact her attacker had green skin. Either way, Elphaba didn't care. The bitch was going to die for what she'd done to Bonnie and for trying to hurt Galinda. Jerking the knife out of the witch's stomach, Elphaba couldn't help but feel the urge to savor this. She thrusted the athame into another area of the woman's stomach, eliciting another scream of pain from her. This time when she pulled the athame back, the woman fell to her knees. Elphaba grabbed a fist full of her hair and jerked her head back so she was looking up at her.

"Are you afraid of me? If not, you should be." Elphaba leaned closer to her, looking the woman dead in the eye. "I am the Wicked Witch of the West." Her tone was a dangerous one, completely cold and uncaring about the life she was about to take. With that, Elphaba plunged the athame deep into the witch's blackened heart. She let go of the woman's hair, pulled the athame out of her, and watched as she slumped to the floor, her blood draining from her. Elphaba was breathing a bit heavily due to the adrenaline pumping through her veins. She was trembling slightly, also an effect of the adrenaline. This was the point of no return.

After a moment, she looked at Galinda. At that moment, she looked nothing like the Elphaba the blonde knew. There was nothing but cold rage etched into her features. She had the blood of two different people on her, one of them now dead by her own hand. Now more than ever she was the Wicked Witch of the West. She then turned around, not wanting to keep her back to the fighting any longer. It was then that she saw Bonnie kill Abigail. Ephaba didn't even flinch, she only stood there like a bloodied green and red wall between the remaining witches and Galinda.

Galinda was exhausted. It had taken so much energy to undo the wards, that she had barely noticed Bonnie helping her. But then Elphaba was in there and... killing the woman in the bubble. And seeming to enjoy it. Eyes growing wide the blond couldn't look away. It was... terrifying. And she didn't like thinking that about her best friend. This was Elphie. She couldn't be afraid of her! Could she? Well, apparently she could be.

Swallowing as Elphaba looked at her, Galinda just blinked. Maybe passing out would be a good idea. She couldn't see straight, she felt hot and cold. She was stressed and didn't handle stress well. Yes, passing out sounded great. Whimpering some, the blond collapsed forward, wand rolling out of her hand, blond curls splayed over her face. It was safer this way. Everyone had killed, everyone but her. She didn't know how to cope.

Elphaba looked around, checking to see if there were anymore witches coming at her. But the whimper from behind her caught her attention. Elphaba turned around and saw Galinda passed out. Her eyes flew wide and she instantly dropped the athame, letting it clatter to the floor. "Galinda!" She was mostly snapped out of the dark mindset she had been in just moments before. She knelt down and reached out to pull her unconscious friend into her arms when she noticed the blood all over her hands. She froze, staring at them for several moments before she reached over and used a clean part of the dead witch's clothes to wipe her hands off on. After all, she didn't want to get the blood on Galinda, and the sight of it on her hands traumatized her.

Now with the blood off her hands, she picked Galinda up and cradled her close, the blonde witch's head resting against her chest. "I'm so sorry...I never wanted you to see that," she whispered gently, stroking the blonde's hair and pressing a soft kiss to Galinda's head. She closed her eyes tightly, inwardly feeling so mortified that she'd killed someone and done so right in front of her best friend. Several thoughts screamed through her mind, but she pushed them all away and opened her eyes, looking over at the unconscious Bonnie.

"We need to get out of here. And make sure there's no survivors. Or at least make sure they won't tell anyone what happened here." She looked over at Damon, then to Elena and Bonnie. It would all be okay. Bonnie was back where she belonged. For once, Elphaba's power had allowed them to save someone. Something good had finally come from her powers. But there had also been bad. She had killed, as had everyone else except Galinda. She hoped that they would all be able to get through the bad that had happened here and grow stronger.
