Who: Damien and Prue
What: Their DATE. And one of them has to be bound to use that D word sometime soon.
When: Tonight! (Thursday night)
Where: A club in Lawrence
Warnings: TBA? Will be edited as needed
Thursday had finally arrived, and Prue was a bit more neurotic than she had been ever since she'd asked Damien to go to a club with her. In her head, it was a date, but she hadn't been able to bring herself to use that word out loud, or typed out on a computer. She had found the perfect pair of shoes to go with the gorgeous dress Billie had given her for Christmas. Prue was going to do her darndest to make a really good impression on Damien. After all, she was still sort of making up for being the office bitch slut she'd been when they'd had their first real interaction outside of talking on the boards and Thanksgiving dinner. Prue spent the afternoon getting herself ready. It had seemed like ages since Prue last really put effort into her appearance for a date. With the knowledge of what her fate was back home, she was more determined now to have some fun and pursue what her heart wanted. Andy's death had knocked home that she could lose anyone she loved at any given time, including herself. She didn't want to lose the chance to be happy, especially when she'd been truly happy only a handful of times in her life.
There was something about Damien that pulled her to him. They had things in common, knowing the pain of loss and having supernatural powers for starters. Prue wanted to delve deeper, take the risk of opening her heart again, of truly opening it. Ever since she'd lost Andy, she had never really opened her heart to anyone. But now, in this world, she wanted to take the risk. She wanted to try and be happy instead of merely watching everyone else around her be happy and have the things she secretly longed for. Of course, she was well aware of the fact that she could get hurt by this. Things could end up not working out. Either her or Damien could be killed. But if she didn't take the chance, she knew she would regret it, and Phoebe would undoubtedly kick her ass.
Finally, Prue looked herself over in the mirror and deemed herself ready. She was dressed in a gorgeous black dress and black and silver heels. Her long dark hair was sleek, part of it pulled back from her face and held in place with a silver butterfly hair clip. A simple silver bracelet graced her left wrist. She'd added a splash of her favorite perfume in the right places, some make-up to accentuate her features and some light sparkling of glitter to her hair and eyelids, to give her a bit more shimmer in the lighting of the club.
"Well, here goes nothing," she spoke to herself as she took a deep breath and all ready felt her heart pounding in her chest. Even as she grabbed her purse, black coat and walked to the door of her apartment, she was all readying wondering if she was over-dressed for the occasion. But if she tried to change now, she'd end up being late, and she refused to send that message. She headed down to the main floor of the complex where she would meet Damien and they could head to the club together. She definitely hadn't felt like this since Andy was alive. She felt so alive as her heart pounded harder against her chest, threatening to break through it. It was a feeling that she didn't want to lose again.
