Who:Booth, Marian, Robin (posting order)
What:meeting up.
When: Afternoon of November 13th
Where: Robins Archery Range.
Warnings: likely none. Booth will be to busy internally fanboying to notice if there are any anyway.

Booth was at work when Marian and Robin wanted to meet. Normally he would have said they should hold off until later but he figured this was the best way to do it. Seeley liked to keep business and pleasure separate but he made an exception this time. It was both. He had news of an intern program for Marian after talking to his supervisor he grabbed his keys and got into his crossover. It wasn't as cool as the Sequoya he had back home but he wasn't complaining (to much) it was the FBI's car. They paid for it, they gave him a gas allowance. They took care of it. He just drove it and signed a waiver not to crash it or damage it. He was a good driver so he had no worry signing anything. He'd never gotten a ticket in his life, and was even trained to drive squad cars and military tanks. It didn't take him long to find the archery range they mentioned, and Booth parked his car.

He pocketed the keys and headed into the woodsy area where he figured the range was, away from traffic and away from the offices. That's usually how those things worked anyway. Adjusting his shades on his face, Booth looked around, not exactly sure where the two legends were who wanted to meet him. Robin Hood and Lady Marian, he was still having issues wrapping his head around it. Robin Hood was a legendary outlaw, maybe being a law man he should have been more worried. But Booth respected what Robin did, steal from the rich to give to the poor, and besides that the lawmen were corrupt. Raising taxes to their liking to support themselves and not the town. So Booth wasn't worried at all. He was dressed up in a way that screamed FBI. Usual black suit, but his tie was loud. It was red with yellow streaks, and at his waistline his favored cocky belt buckle that made him stand out in a crowd. He didn't like to be inside the box. That wasn't how the FBI was supposed to be in his eyes. His gun was at his waist, along with his badge and he had his hands in his pockets. Booth was definitely a little out of place and a little lost.

He looked around, it was very much a typical archery range and Booth couldn't help but smirk. He wondered if the idiots had any idea just who was at their little place. He watched archers come and go, thought it was a little strange. Archery in this day in age? Were they really going to carry around a bow and arrow if their lives were at stake? Maybe there was something he was missing. Like maybe it was a good thing for hand eye coordination and that thought made him curious. He began to wonder if that had anything to do with it, and if it would improve his shot with a gun if he could shoot an arrow into the tiny hole, or target, or whatever it was called.

Some people were more "dressed" up then others, some had guards on their hands and wrists, others were just simple hand pieces, he was a little disappointed he didn't see anyone in outlandish medieval wear, what was an archery range without at least one Renaissance geek? He didn't exactly know who he was looking for, he'd seen pictures of Robin Hood and Lady Marian sure, but there were so many stores. He figured his best bet was to move a little closer to the range where he saw a couple with bows and arrows out. "Lady Marian? Robin?" The worst they could say was no, and the longer he just stood around the more out of place he felt, so it was definitely time to start asking around for the legends.

She tried her hardest not to roll her eyes at Robin. She wasn't surprised that he felt the need to show off, would probably not be the first time this afternoon. He liked showing his skill off at every moment, and she noticed the couple of people in the range with them trying not to act annoyed or impressed. She smiled a little at them before turning to Robin.

"It would seem he's coming to us."

She brushed down the skin tight jeans that she had become very fond of, before smiling when it seemed she was right, that it was Booth. When he questioned them, she nodded and smiled more at him. Best appear friendly.

"That's us. It's nice to meet you."

Robin told himself that he was not just the tiniest bit disappointed that Booth had apparently not seen his shot, studying the handful of people who were coming over to the lanes. At least Marian was not humoring him; the look in her eyes told him that she was of a mind to roll them, and that was enough to compensate for his missed opportunity to preen.

Resting one end of his bow on the ground, he propped his left arm across it in what had become an almost unconscious stance. He grinned and held out his hand as their visitor joined them (funny, Robin reflected briefly, how he thought of most people who came to the range as visitors-- as if he had any claim to the place. He just felt so very at home there). "Glad you could stop by."

Unfortunately Booth wasn't nearly as at home. He was uncomfortable and awkward and as much as he tried not to show it, it was pretty obvious as he adjusted his shades and pulled them off to slip into his jacket pocket. He was worried about meeting them, his brows gave it all away how they furrowed tensly. Robin Hood and Lady Marian. They were legends. Who wouldn't be worried? He knew he shouldn't have been so tense, like Robin he was a marksmen. But when it came to bows and arrows he was probably only mediocre. He never shot less than a cross bow back in his military days. Mostly his marksmanship lie in modern age weapons. The police issue glock at his belt per example.

Looking at the pair and then back at the range where he saw the arrow sticking steadily in the target, he grinned and seemed to ease up. He may have missed the shot but that didn't mean he wasn't impressed just seeing one of Robins arrows stuck in the target. "Sorry to take up your day to talk shop." He offered sincerely. Seeley was a lawman, but he also was one who cared about people. Police and authority had changed dramatically since Robin's days. There were many more like him and many less like the sheriff.

She smiled at Robin as he spoke to Booth, resting her bow on one of the holders that were provided. After all, she knew that Robin would probaly want to take over the range now. He had someone to impress, he would need more room than she would.

"No it's fine, we don't mind."

She quite liked that she would have a chance to talk about the things she had mentioned to him over the computer. Now she could really let him see that she was serious about the things she had mentioned.

"Not at all," Robin agreed, glancing at Marian with a smile before looking back to Booth. Discussing archery was never a chore; and although he would not admit it out loud, he did rather enjoy the fame of his legend that existed in this time. Granted, it was also very humbling, as he had said; but the way he saw it, he may as well embrace his notoriety, since it was hardly going away.

Perhaps the gang was right, and he was a bit vain. Well, there were worse things, he supposed.

Straightening and picking up his bow, he held it out to Booth with a quirk of his eyebrows. "I think you were interested in seeing this," he said with a grin. He wondered if Booth had been expecting a longbow, rather than the recurve bow; one of the things that had surprised him in the various versions of their story was that his use of the Saracen weapon had apparently been lost to time.

There was no way Booth would have just simply let Marian into helping with the kids if they hadn't met in person. He was a people reader. Not in the magical sense, but he could tell almost anyone's intentions just by watching them. Picking up on body language and social cues. Over the computer his abilities were halved and he couldn't tell what her intentions really were. This was a much better deal for him.

When Robin suddenly handed him a bow all trains of thought just stopped and he had a moment of instant fanboyisms. He was holding Robin Hood's bow. The legendary weapon. All he could do was gawk as he took it into his hands and a grin tugged at the corners of his lips and broadened into a bright amused smirk. "You have no idea." He looked it over, then glanced at Robin, and then at the targets. " You don't think I could.." He motioned with his eyes. He wasn't an archer, and he didn't want to be to forward or rude or anything. So he just tried to be subtle, but his mind was reeling. Robin Hood's bow and arrows. Like a broken record on repeat.

She smiled back at Robin when he glanced at her, deciding to take a step back for a moment. She had heard about Booth wanting to see Robin's bow and there wasn't much point in her getting involved. Well she thought that, but there was no chance she was going to stand back like the good little Lady and not speak. She always was one to talk when she wanted.

Her smile widened to a grin when Robin handed over the bow, Booth instantly looking more than happy. She couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in Robin to know that he managed to have people in such awe of him, even if it really did make his ego bigger. It meant he made a difference, that everything he did wasn't in vain despite Richard not retaining the throne. And that mattered.

"I'm sure Robin wont mind," she said with a smile when Booth hinted at using the bow, reaching over to pull one of Robin's arrows out and handing it over to Booth. "I'm sure he could show you a thing or too as well."

She gave Robin a grin, holding the bow she was using out to him. She hoped Robin wouldn't be annoyed at her agreeing.

Robin was just about to agree, when Marian did it for him. Not that he minded, although he rose an eyebrow at her good-naturedly when she handed Booth one of his arrows, and gave Robin her borrowed bow. Nodding to Booth, he gestured toward the lane he had just been using. "I don't mind at all. Do you know how to shoot?" Noticing the gun at Booth's belt, he chuckled and clarified, "An arrow, that is."

He had been introduced to firearms during the few days he'd spent at Bobby's boot camp, and had found them... interesting. Part of him loved them; there was a definite thrill that came from holding a device in one's hand in which a small explosion took place. And the possibility of mastering another weapon appealed greatly to him. But, all the same, there was another part of him that shied away from them. Perhaps, if he were to become more familiar with them, he would not be so wary-- after all, the basic intent was the same with the bow: using a projectile to take down a target.

With the bow, Robin knew how to do that in a non-lethal fashion. To be sure, he had killed more men than he had only injured, mostly in the Holy Land. As far as a gun went, he could just as easily kill someone by accident as he could by failing to do so in a situation that required it. And the shotguns... he knew they might be necessary, but he was not keen on them.

However, none of that really occurred to him consciously, merely reflections flitting through the back of his mind, so it did not register in his expression, nor in his mood. Instead, he offered, "I'd be glad to show you, if not."
