Who: Jacen Solo & OTA
What: Demo's with the shiny Lightsaber.
Where: Back of the apartments
When: A few hours after his last post
Rating: TBD likely low
Status: In Progress.
Note: Multiple threads or one long linier thread, whichever you guys think works best?

The people here were very strange indeed. Enthused by his lightsaber and promises of a demo but not entirely wary enough of the Sith Lord in their midst. Of course he wasn't threatening them. Why would he? Jacen didn't want control, he didn't want power. Not here. All he'd ever done had been for Allana, so she'd grow in a world free of War. And he'd given her that at the expense of himself. At the expense of his name and his life. She wouldn't have a father but Tenel Ka would love that little girl enough for both of them. Thinking of his family Jacen began to run through a few calming exercises, it was bad enough they were going to make comments about the color of the blade, he didn't want them to see him make a mistake.

Not that he would. Jacen Solo hadn't made a technical mistake in years. Caedus even less so. But unleashing lightning or something of that like, his eyes taking on that yellow hue. It was strange, he was Caedus. He still was. But he didn't feel the need to extol it to the residents. It seemed the title of Darth shared by him and his Grandfather was known and feared here too. It was fair. It should be. But since he wasn't out to hurt these people, why should he make them fear him. So he went by his given name, not a thought for the parents that had given it to him and so recently learned to hate him with the rest.

Hate. It was a strange emotion, and even now he didn't think he hated anyone. Not even the blasted Correllians. Though if he'd have had the chance they wouldn't have a world now. Was that hate? Or logic. He liked to believe logic.

He stood, leaning against the wall of the apartments, waiting for people to arrive before kicking off the demo. He'd give them a show, show them why exactly having a Sith as an ally was a powerful asset.

And then he'd discuss perhaps watching those movies with one of them. He didn't think he wanted to do so alone.

There was a bounce to her step as she walked briskly to the back. She didn't run because that would be childish and immature and ... okay, so maybe she ran just a bit. And Andrea couldn't manage to care less if someone could find a reason to blame her for it. Because Lightsabers. She doubted there was a person on this planet that could manage to do anything to could divert her attention from that, that could manage to ruin her mood.

She was highly pleased to see that she was the first person to arrive. Which likely spoke highly of her level of patheticness. Again. She did not care. She just wanted to see the lightsaber. "Hi." She said, announcing her arrival. Though she had manage to kill most of her grin, it was so very obvious even in those two letters.

Dawn was pretty excited. Even though she wasn't a huge fan of Star Wars, she still enjoyed it quite a bit, and was somewhat amazed that someone from there was here.

Where else would she get the chance to see an actual lightsaber being used?

She caught sight of a dark haired woman stepping out just before her, and slowed in her steps a bit so she wouldn't seem too eager, in case there were already a bunch of people out there. She should be playing this cool, right?

About half a minute after the woman, she stepped out and slowly moved closer to the two that she saw. "Hey there."

Damien was indeed curious when he heard of a lightsaber demonstration. He couldn't have imagined seeing this in a million years if he were anywhere else but here. He wondered if Jacen had any interesting combat or war stories; military history was one of Damien's favorite subjects. The only sword he had was his academy graduation, and that was simply for ceremonial uses.

So once he heard the demo was going on now, he hurried behind the apartments. He then saw that Jacen was already there, and two girls who had also been curious about the event. One he knew was Andrea, a resident on his floor.. but the other was one he had not seen previously, perhaps because he tended to work at a job now. "Hello," he said with a polite nod and a hand wave to the three of them as he approached. He then moved with his back to the wall next to him, wondering who else would show. And about how great this would look when it happened..

Jacen couldn't stop himself being amused at the facination with Lightsabers, sure it was an impressive weapon to non Jedi but they seemed to be obsessed with seeing him use it. He waited until a few of them had arrived and stepped over toward the group. He'd give them some kind of demo, being social here was probably appropriate. He nodded in particular to Andrea, she'd been the one most wary of him, she'd known Tahiri and admittidly he'd be awful to her. But she was here all the same

"Is this everyone, should we wait a little longer?" he asked, ignighting the lightsaber at a safe distance from them, the red blade gleaming even with the light of day.

"Just the basics yes. Anything else I can do, well its probably not appropriate for where we are right now. Not that I understand the facination myself, I assume it was Grandfather and my Uncle that made the weapon so popular"

An actual freaking lightsaber. The chances of seeing something like that anywhere else were absolutely nil and he would have been stupid to have missed this demonstration. Kate had been right about one thing. It had pretty much made his day. Or more, but he wasn't about to admit that. He was acting like enough of a fanboy.

He was a little late, trying to find a parking spot near the complex. Throwing his keys into his pocket, he headed off across the lawn, keeping his gait to a quick walk. And just as they'd said, around the corner of the building, he saw two girls and two guys, one of which was holding a lightsaber, the blade already out.

Yeah, this was definitely awesome.

Dean had come out just a few moments after Jacen pulled out his lightsaber and the thing glowing read. "Shit." Was all Dean could say. There was a possibility of speechlessness forming. Because. Lightsaber.

And there was also the possibility that he might have felt like a dork standing around with a bunch of people in a backyard for a demonstration. But the fact that this was a demonstration of the lightsaber made him feel as if he still had his cool points. "That is fucking awesome!" Now he wanted one. Again. Because he'd wanted one the first time he'd seen the movies and every time after that. But now that there was one in this world, he was going to be a bigger pain in Sam's ass about how frickin' cool having a lightsaber would be.

Jacen nodded to the latecomers and decided not to keep them waiting any longer, if they wanted to see how the lightsaber worked they shouldn't be kept waiting. And if he could show off a little then so much the better. He took a Force leap up to a higher vantage point, a tree branch that should not have supported his weight and yet somehow did. He only stayed there a few seconds though as next came a series of moves through the air, blade glowing red and spinning along with him.

He supposed from this point of view it was a very impressive weapon. Though he liked blasters too. One could never be too armed.

He continued the exerices, just a regular dull training exercise learned from his...from his Uncle Luke actually, Jacen supposed the man had to have some uses. All the same it sufficed to entertain the people assembled and so he kept it up for a few minutes more before landing with a flourish after a well executed manuver that involved tumbling with a ignighted lightsaber.

He sort of wished he'd had his cloak, it was impressive for exericses like this, had always been good for morale with the Galactic Alliance Guard when he'd gotten what they liked to call 'hero mode'.

So few people had called him a hero by the end.

"Well" he said simply. "Will that suffice and are there any questions beyond can I try, because the answer will always remain no. None here are trained enough even if I did want to let you"
