The train comes to a halt, and the conductor ushers you out onto a quaint-looking platform, reminding you not to forget your suitcase. Perhaps you are alone upon arrival. Perhaps there are others with you. Either way, there's now no leaving the magical little town of Chepley Parva, where the normal rules of physics don't apply. A mysterious barrier keeps the rest of the world locked out... and everyone else in. All modern electronics, motor vehicles, and even guns brought into town stop working. Scientists and magicians alike are working to figure out what's going on, and to make up for the limitations, but life in town is going to be very different from what most are used to. Everyone has the same story: dropped off at the train station sometime in the last five years. If any of the current residents have been in Chepley Parva longer, and know its secrets? They aren't telling. Applications for original and canon characters are all welcome! | It’s been twenty-five years since the end of the Second Wizarding War, and the wizarding world has been drastically changed. After the previously disowned Princess Andromeda ascended the Black Throne in 1998, she led the wizarding world through a reconstruction era that was widely considered an unpopular reign that promised change but didn’t deliver it quickly enough. In 2022, Queen Andromeda passed away quietly in her sleep and her grandson, Prince Teddy, became King Edward II. Unbeknownst to the reigning royals, restless purists have gotten together to form a secretive movement devoted to putting Narcissa Malfoy on the throne instead. These shadowy radicals call their plan Salazar’s Purge, and have begun inducting their children into the movement as Knights in the exclusive Order of Salazar. But, for those children and others, the most radical move that King Edward II and Queen Victoire have made in the last year was shutting the doors of Merlin Wizarding Academy — the private wizarding school whose student body was solely composed of the children of royalty and nobility. Beginning in the 2023 - 2024 school year, for the first time in history, nobles, royalty, and commoners will be attending a single school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, to encourage integration and reduce elitism. Welcome to the Night Life at Luna Bay, California. A sleepy town along the Pacific Coast Highway. Known for UCLB, surfing, and some dramamtic scenery, this town is almost entirely student population and tourists. Locals live among the eclectic shops and eateries about the street. Nothing much happens here without someone hearing about it, but for a town so diverse, it's almost impossible to start a big issue. The weather is fine, the food is great, and you will never overstay your welcome. Come sit with us and watch the sun set by the lighthouse on the Boardwalk. |
