You might've been sleeping, walking to work, eating, showering, or in a battle for your life when you suddenly find yourself in front of a sign with nothing but what you had with you at the time of your departure. There is a table at the base of the sign, a radio, key, a map to the city and mobile device sit there waiting. Static suddenly breaks through the silence, and a voice crackles through the radio speakers.

"Congratulations traveler, you're one of the lucky few that have been chosen to populate this particular location."

There is a moment of silence before the voice continues.

"Welcome to Las Vegas, better known as Sin City where fun awaits you! Please make your way to our replica of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino to find your room. You are not allowed to reside within any other hotel here in Las Vegas, but you are able to use their facilities, amenities, and casinos. Thank you, traveler, and enjoy your stay in Las Vegas."

The radio shuts off, leaving you in silence.

Upon arriving at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino you notice there are several other people milling about, workers who are going about their business but no matter how many questions you ask them, they will not speak to you, and instead they continue to work.

Going to your room, you find that there on the door is a golden plate that reads your name and room number. Entering the room you find that some of your clothing has arrived, but that's about all you have from home.

And there, on the table in your room, is a complimentary fruit basket, once again welcoming you to Las Vegas.

Thousands of years ago, Metallia along with Queen Beryl and her troops and Prince Endymion's corrupted generals destroyed the Silver Millennium. Determined to give her daughter and her friends a chance at normal lives, Queen Serenity bound all the souls lost during the Silver Millennium and sent them into the future to be reborn.

Given the strength of Queen Serenity's wish for a normal life, the seal around Princess Serenity's Silver Crystal was solid, preventing Chaos from finding her, even through her slumber. Metallia never woke, Pharaoh 90 never set his sights on Earth and Nehellenia seemed sure her curse held. With no Sailor Moon active, the Black Moon family hasn't arrived and no one knows of Chibi-Usa's future existence.

However, things are changing. The brightest comet of the century, perhaps even in thousands of years, is heading toward the Sun. The Pleiades meteor shower was brighter this year and the sun has been remarkably active with sun spots and solar flares. Astronomers agree that the activity is higher than usual and the combined astronomical events leave many wondering what precisely is happening.

The citizens of the Silver Millennium are blissfully unaware of their duties, but for long?

So... I've never done this before but I figured I'd ask around if there's anyone who'd want to write against my Captain Jack Harkness out there. I'm not picky but I'm very wordy and would like someone along the same lines in a PSL. Writing three paragraphs and getting three sentences in return isn't what I'm looking for.

What I am looking for is, essentially, decent plot and good characterizations. I ship Jack/Ianto primarily but I'm willing to try something else to see if it works, even if it's just pairing our characters up for an adventure. I'm fine writing sex scenes(because, well, this IS Jack Harkness) but will "fade to black" if you prefer. I'm willing to write M/M, M/F, M/A(lien), whatever, it's all good so long as it's a character from the Torchwood or Who-verse that Jack could conceivably meet up with. I'm up for anything so long as you don't disappear on me in the process :)

Just leave me a PM or a comment here (I'll screen them) on what you're thinking (pairings, plot ideas, anything!) and we'll see how it goes. I'd prefer to write over journals or through email since I don't do AIM much at all anymore. We'll give it a go to see if our writing styles mesh and take it from there!

There is still a world full of normal, regular people out there - but it's not here. The residents of Destruction Island are the mutant population, and the small suburban town they reside in is not as perfect as the rest of the world might think. While the Facility is intact and doing the job it was intended - the medical treatment and education of the newest special section of people - the island is guarded by military patrols whose favorite pastime is making the residents' lives miserable. But not everyone is just taking the abuse, and the Faction, the mutant uprising group, is fighting for the rights of all the residents, and things are about to get very interesting under its new leadership. Of course, neither group is aware of the government agents who are living undercover on Destruction, keeping a very close eye on all sections of the island's inhabitants.

Set five years after the meltdown of a nuclear power plant and the subsequent power mutations caused by the radiation, Destruction Island is an original character rpg looking for individuals from all walks of life. Residents, Facility workers, educators and students, military patrol members, Faction members and undercover agents are all greatly desired, both those with powers and those without.
