[info]chicagolicious is a private group storyline community, based in none other than the beautiful windy city – otherwise known as Chicago, Illinois. We would like to pride ourselves in being laid back and open to creativity. Though we do have a few guidelines to follow, we don’t have the average activity requirements. This group was initially created for a handful of writers looking to build a storyline together. However, we are definitely very welcoming to the idea of others joining in on the fun with us!

Stories. Fables. Fairytales. Legends. Myths. Folktales. The names are interchangeable, but the cultural significance remains constant across all cultures. Morality and heritage play key roles in these tales, which have been passed on from generation to generation in every corner of the world. The Germans break these tales into two categories: märchen or fairytales, and sagen or legends. Märchen traditionally exist in the world of "once upon a time", while sagen stem from historical events or figures. But whether a tale contains a grain of truth or ten thousand, it does not matter. These tales exist, interwoven into the tapestry of our shared cultural heritage.

[info]higherlearning is set in the fictional town Salem Center in Westchester County, New York at the Jean Grey School For Higher Learning in the year 2040. There has been no peace, things just haven't been right since The Phoenix Force was destroyed and the Mutant Boom of 2013 'infected' the human race again.
