The gods have not faded away, or been reborn. They are not in high school. They have not forgotten who they were. They remember, because they still exist.

The Sumerians are still insular and superior, the Greeks still squabble amongst themselves more than they do with the other pantheons, and the Norse… well, with Loki on the loose and Ragnarok threatened, they have their hands full. How will they manage to coexist? How have they done so thus far? What happens when Anubis meets Hades? Or Thor challenges Nergal?

Is it a dream, is it reality? Something is drawing the most remarkable of people here... beings of great power, kind souls beyond measure, hunters, demons, soldiers, and even the seemingly average. All of these individuals are being taken from their worlds and placed within this nexus of time and space, the Empire City.

New York City, to be exact, present day, and those who arrive in the city limits are trapped within. Answers as to how and why will come, but until that point they are left to fend for themselves in the Capital of the World with millions of other people who don't recognise who or what they are. Will the presence of these unexpected transplants shift the power structure of New York? Will they disturb the peace or simply go unnoticed in the already-chaotic fray? Or have they been brought here for a purpose? Only time will tell.

Empire City is a new multi-fandom community that opened recently. Game-wide plots and cross-fandom interaction will be a big part of Empire City, and with room for canon and AU characters, we're looking for more writers to join the madness and enjoy the hobby with us! We're small in number now, but already active and would love to see more creative minds and colourful characters.

WANTED: More from the casts of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Heroes, Leverage, Star Trek and Supernatural. We're also looking for Rory Williams and Donna Noble from Doctor Who, Ianto Jones from Torchwood, as well as characters from The Abhorsen Chronicles, Cowboy Bebop, and Mass Effect! But don't stop there, please bring any and all muses that would fit into this plot-driven game!

Welcome to the future, where magic combines with technology and possibilities are endless; where pop stars are the new gods and media the religion; where dragons and their riders dominate the Earth, cowboys roam the frontier, and pirates rule the skies...

Remnants of the Earth is an original futuristic high fantasy RPG with a broad, unique setting based around the damaged planet Earth (not to be confused with our Earth), the newly terraformed planet Edanith, and the broad, dangerous depths of outer space and its resident space stations.

You don't need any sci-fi knowledge to play here. We follow the Rule of Cool and take the "it works because it does" approach, and the technology isn't too far removed from our own--we've just got space ships and magic. If you're comfortable with a modern setting, you'd be comfortable here, too!

In 2012, the infection begun in London. In 2013, it struck London. By 2014, it spread to the United States.

By 2016, the entire world was deemed a lost cause. Cities that formerly housed hustling and bustling business, bright lights and constant activity are shells of their former selves. Electricity for the masses is a near-lost memory and now the only places that hold electricity are "safe havens" like shelters or churches. There are no more new cars or cushy apartments.

What little freedoms the infected didn't take away, the government destroyed. People deemed "immune," people who didn't turn when bitten, were forced into servitude. Those who had yet to be bitten had the option to help out as well. Immune, and non-immune helpers, were pushed to the brink of exhaustion by the power hungry government, who sat safely in their safe areas.

It's 2019 now, and finally, people started to get tired of the games. A small pocket of resistance, residing in New York City, formulated a plan and have created a true "safe haven" in Sing Sing Correctional Facility. No government, and a true safe haven behind walls that no infected can scale. After six years of oppression, a change has finally begun.

But can the safety last?
