It's the start of 2023, the 25th Anniversary of the end of the war will be later this May. Purebloods are a dying breed, halfbloods and blood equality are wildly accepted, sentient creatures are attaining more and more equal rights with each passing day. Blood status still technically exists, but the ruling theme of this generation seems to be 'who cares? I can't believe we fought over this stuff in the past'. The elite purebloods are few and far in number, and don't hold anywhere near the social and political clout they once did. Don't let it all fool you, the Muggle and Magical worlds still remain firmly divided, and whatever Muggle struggles have happened in the past 25 years haven't breached the walls of the Wizarding world.

For these kids, born in the baby boom after the war, life is perfect ... or as perfect as it can get when you're a witch or wizard.

Imagine a world where the pureblood reign elite, half-bloods are only allowed to marry half-bloods who will further purify their lines, and where torture is creeping in at the walls of Hogwarts. Imagine a world where James and Lily Potter have hidden for 16 years with their son, Harry, the only hope for the peaceful future of the Wizarding World. Imagine James Potter stepped outside the protection of the Secret Keeper, and was killed on sight ...

For centuries the magical races of the world have existed along humankind, for better and for worse. However, with humanity's growing numbers, and with their ideal habitats quickly disappearing, many creatures have done their best to adapt to a world that no longer believes in them. Many have melded into the fray of every-day life, gotten jobs, gone to school, established relationships and families with humans. While some still pine for the old days it's becoming increasingly more obvious that if they're to survive they need to find a way to assimilate without completely losing who they are.

Avalon Apartments was established in 1997, by Delilah Vance. The building rests a thirty minute drive North of the hustle and bustle of New York City and offers as many "old world" amenities, and modern conveniences to its tenants as it possibly can.
