In the year 2000, King Orion of the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black celebrated his 71st birthday by charging his brothers, Alphard and Cygnus, with treason and ordering their execution. Though evidence was scarce and circumstantial at best, Orion was convinced they were trying to kill him, and in this ancient monarchy, the king's word is law. Now, with the royal family divided, Orion continues his descent into madness, with his actions and decrees growing more and more erratic each day. No one in the royal family can stand up to him, not without risking their heads, and the kingdom's only hope comes in the form of the Order of the Phoenix. Led by Albus Dumbledore, they only want one thing: to dismantle the monarchy and form a democracy. Despite the king's loyal guards and ranks of nobility determined to see it stand, the Order steadily gains more and more supporters throughout the kingdom. However, Orion will do anything to take them down, even if it means tearing the United Kingdom apart. |
