  By 2005, the Wizarding World has done its best to put the war far behind them. Old enemies are new friends and the children who never had much of a childhood are now becoming parents, doing their best to keep the world safe for the next generation. Everyone seems to be well on their way to, "All was well." If only things were as simple as they seemed...

  Unfortunately, even without an outright war, the world is still a dangerous place. A handful of Death Eaters who everyone assumed were dead or imprisoned are actually living amongst us in secret. Muggles are becoming more and more aware of the world around them, putting life as we know it in terrible danger. A mysterious new group has drawn up a list of enemies, posted it for all to see and horrible things are happening to those who appeared on it.

  The list, and the consequences for being on it, have even some of the most terrifying and bloodthirsty criminals wondering if it would be safer back in Azkaban. It's not just the Death Eaters who have reason to be afraid, however. The heroes and the villains of the last war share a common enemy - one they don't know and can't fight. An enemy made of their friends, their lovers, even their family. An enemy that won't hesitate to kill.

It's 2050, by now the wizarding world has gone through mass changes since the Second War ended. Deaths, births, the rise of a new generation, changes for a better world. The only thing that the wizarding world struggled with was a small uprising started by the children of former Death Eaters. Thankfully, it only took one year to quash it, and luckily only a small number of causalities came from it. In the end the nine members of the uprising were caught, and sentenced for their crimes against the wizarding world. Since then everything started to progress again and over time the wizarding world became slightly more dependent on the muggle world, and with that came change and adaptation. One of these changed came when former Minister Shaklebolt decided that the key to a peaceful future was knowledge. With knowledge came acceptance and progress to maintain a better world. In 2030 Eolas University came the first Wizarding University. Modeled after muggle universities across Britain and Ireland the goal was to educate young witches and wizards preparing them for their career of choices. Everything from Geffory Buttermere College of Medicine, the MacTavish College of Law Enforcement, Goodfellow College of Magical Law, to degrees offered in Magical Zoology, Muggle Studies, a wide array of degrees available for every kind of field in the wizarding world.

It is up to this new generation to decide what to do with the knowledge, if they'll use it to follow their dreams, to help wizarding kind, or for their own personal benefit. Their grandparents made a mark on the world, now it's their turn.

Welcome to New York City, 2018. Population: last recorded at just over 2,500.

The outbreak has ravaged the city for six years now. The infected population now outnumbers the human population 10:1. Every day feels like a losing battle.

People still fight. There are still pockets of resistance; folks who have been determined to be immune to the virus, people who aren't immune but have things to offer and people who know that it's best for them to run and hide. Those people are too strong to die, too brave to give in.

For those brave enough to fight, just living day to day is occasionally a struggle. They're fighting to benefit a government who looks out for their own survival before the survival of the remaining citizens. Even the strongest people break every day.

But a rebellion is coming. Government vs. survivors vs. zombies.

In order to stop the epidemic ravaging North America, the CDC created a vaccine to supply to the public. Unfortunately, the “cure” had adverse effects—namely, it turned a great chunk of the population into zombies. Those who were naturally immune to the virus were also immune to the vaccine; but nobody, even the healthiest person, is safe from the bite of a zombie. The human population quickly dwindled while the undead numbers were on the rise. All survivors were forced to pick up arms and look for safety on the road. Outrunning the dead isn’t easy, especially when there are so few places to truly find rest, and even fewer members of humanity who are willing to reach out to help one another. Bobby Sutton, an amusement park owner in Jacksonville, Florida wasn’t one of those people. With the help of Alice Thatcher, he fortified his amusement park and made it a safe place for dozens upon dozens of survivors. Together, they sent out a broadcast to instruct any and all people looking for shelter to come to Florida.

The Zombie Park is an original role play game set in a fictional amusement park (Coaster Land) in Jacksonville, Florida. The game centers on the survivors of the zombie epidemic as they try and rebuild a safe community together in Sutton’s once very unpopular park.

The Game
It's been a year and a half since the fall of Voldemort and the Wizarding World is still rebuilding. The Death Eaters have been tried, Hogwarts has been rebuilt, and everyone is attempting to move on with their lives. However, most of them have forgotten the biggest thing they should have learned during the war; the importance of love. It was, after all, Dumbledore's message that there could always be move love in this world.

While working on an experiment to alter the properties of the popular love potion, Amortentia, Unspeakable Hermione Granger makes a mistake that leaves everyone within the Ministry, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade on that day fall in love with the person whom they're nearest to. While everyone is stuck with the wrong person, or in some cases, the right ones, The Ministry frantically tries to correct their mistake, but their attempt to bring everyone out of their love-drunk stupor only leads to everyone magically finding their soulmate. Not everyone will be happy about who they're fated to be with, but some of them may just find what they've been looking for.

Amortentia is set in the year 2000, when the Wizarding World is still recovering from the events of the war. We're focused on the characters exploring all kinds of relationships: romantic, family, friendship, etc. and character development. Every two to three weeks, the mods will introduce a new plot point for the game, which will keep things in motion for the first few months, with the plan being to let everyone keep things going with character interactions afterwards.
Current Events
The game will start out with characters being placed under a love potion and being stuck with random characters to be in love with. The plot will then shift to people discovering who their soulmates are when the Ministry botches their attempt to fix their mistake. After those plots are settled, we have a few game-wide plots planned with magical creatures, magical catastrophes, etc.
The Players
Amortentia is currently seeking dedicated writers who are interested in character development, participating in game-wide plots, and moving the plot forward with character interactions.

We've just opened and we're about to launch with your first plot. In order to make sure it kicks some ass, we need to fill some of out most wanted characters, which include: Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Harry Potter, and many others.
