In 2010, the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office of the Ministry of Magic finally granted permission for the next wave of muggle electronics -- the television -- to be studied and modified with magic. Ten years later, there was a telly in the home of every witch and wizard with programming ranging from goblin talk shows to galleon game shows to dramas, comedies, music videos, and even movies. More recently, 2021 saw the advent of reality shows, like The Fashion Show and Love Potion No. 9.

Get Real! was conceived by Maximus Trimble and Rhonda Roads as a way to appeal to the teenage demographic as well as pull in an older crowd on the strength of nostalgia. It's a reality TV show all about the life of the "average" Hogwarts student and the drama, laughs, and loves that blossom between them.

Season 1 begins filming this school year. By proxy of returning to school this year all students and parents have given their permission to be featured and/or mentioned on the programme. And if certain liberties happen to be taken with the presentation of the footage, well... that's just show business.

Do you have what it takes to survive in The Triangle?


Premise
As long as mankind has been traveling the seas, inexplicable events have occurred. Among the most notorious are random, mysterious disappearances and equipment malfunctions inside a triangular area between Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and the tip of Florida. No one knows what causes these malfunctions, or what happens to people who've disappeared. But you're about to find out.

Your trip starts out normally. Calm seas, clear skies, perfect weather, nothing abnormal at all. As your craft enters the Bermuda Triangle, however, you hear an odd humming sound, that grows in intensity. Soon after, you black out, waking up some time later on a cot in a shack, unattended.

Upon exploration, you find yourself on a beach, dotted with crude huts, inhabited by others who've been dumped here. No one knows what happened, except that the Curse of the Bermuda Triangle claimed them as a victim.

No one is immune. Doctors, lawyers, university students in all fields of study, models, actors, singers... the famous, the infamous, and the unknown. All have been plucked from their lives and left on this mysterious island.

If that wasn't enough, odd things happen periodically. Earthquakes shake the ground--and peoples' nerves; mountains form and crumble virtually overnight; violent storms send waves crashing against the coast. And occasionally, people disappear. They don't seem to have died--at least, no body is ever recovered. They simply vanish.
About the Game
The Triangle is a new, multifandom, thread-based, dark, supernatural game on InsaneJournal. There are only a couple restrictions on characters (no cartoon or anime characters); original characters and celebrity characters are welcome.

Charles Xavier is a man born into a world that isn’t ready for him.

Howard Stark is a man who was born ahead of his time.

Two Futurists – two men of science with visions of a better world the world around them does not seem ready for.

Charles Xavier earned Ph.Ds in genetics, biophysics, psychology, and anthropology, and an M.D. in psychiatry. He is the foremost authority on matters of genetics, mutation, and psionic ability, and is extraordinarily skilled in other areas of science, as well. Arguably the world’s most powerful telepath, Xavier is also a skilled physical combatant.

All of these gifts have been directed toward one purpose – engendering a world, through education, where homo sapiens and homo superior can peacefully co-exist.

In 2007, Xavier opened the doors of his former family home and founded the Xavier School For Gifted Youngsters. Here, young mutants would be taught to explore and control their powers in an environment of acceptance and support, settled in picturesque Westchester County, New York.

Howard Stark is a billionaire, a brilliant inventor, and a genius, years ahead of his time. With Ph.Ds in physics and mechanical engineering, Stark is adept in atomic physics, robotics, artificial intelligence, computer imagery and biochemistry. A ruthless businessman, Stark is also a skilled fighter, whether barehanded, or using any kind of weaponry, from man made to alien technology.

His goal is to make the world and our future a better place to live, through the technological advancements created by the best and brightest minds of today.

To that end, in 2009, Stark founded the Howard Stark School of Tomorrow in Hartford, Connecticut – open to only the best, the brightest, and the most gifted students. While students with Xavier’s significant X-Gene are not excluded, most of the Stark student body consists of meta-humans, and those individuals with super powers.

Here at Marvel Prep we will explore the rivalries and camaraderie’s within and between both of these very unique schools as they come into their own, and begin to shape a future that will be anything but mundane.

All good stories start with "once upon a time" and this one isn't so different. Once upon a time, Man and Dragon lived in harmony and shared the land freely. The near-immortal dragons watched generations of man cycle through their lives. They watched kingdoms rise and fall, and watched the development of villages into towns. They advised king and commoner alike. The world was at peace ...

... though peace never lasts long.

There were men and women of ambition, possessing a drive to better their world. They saw the dragons as the barrier keeping civilization from advancing beyond the current way of life. One magician in particular devoted himself to devising a way to remove the dragons from the world. He failed, but his daughter took up his cause after his death. She successfully imprisoned the dragons -- and was executed for her work.

Over the years, magic users of all sorts attempted to wake the dragons, but with no luck. Encouraged by the way the balance was tilting, other ambitious magic users sought to use the current state of affairs to advance their own agendas. One necromancer took it upon himself to attempt to raise an undead army to seize the throne. His plan was derailed and he was executed -- but it was enough for the King at the time to issue a decree making magic taboo. Magic users were driven underground, and those who would have been students of the magic school were forced to contend with their powers on their own.

Twenty-five years after the initial ban, the new King has decided to try to reverse the state of affairs. He has reopened the magical division of the Academy and encouraged magic users to once again reveal themselves and learn the art. The question remains ... is history bound to repeat itself?

Like every year, young witches and wizards all over Britain prepare themselves for their return to Hogwarts. This time, however, everything feels different. The year is 1998, and the last time they saw their school a battle was taking place: the great Battle of Hogwarts that saw Voldemort fall and where so many others, family and friends alike, also lost their lives. The wizarding world might be in ruins, but it's nothing compared to the school and to the students that survived. How will the recent events affect them? Will they find absolution for what they did?

Absolution is a post-DH game, starting August 1998. It focuses on the rebuilding of the wizarding world through the eyes of the students of Hogwarts and how they deal with the rebuilding of their school and the memories of what happened the previous year. Muggleborns try to return to the lives they had a year before. The children of Voldemort's supporters try to deal with the new stigma that befell them. Those who fought at the Battle try to cope with what they experienced. And everyone tries to mourn their losses and move forward.
