School's out for summer! Finals are done, prom is long gone and New Directions have held their final meeting of the year. But that doesn't mean the fun is over! Oh no, it just means the fun is beginning. With parties, political campaigns (Sue Sylvester for Major?!) and rocky relationships, summer vacation is shaping up to be extremely interesting. Glee Summer of Fun is a Post-Season 2 RPG. We will follow canon right up until the season finale, but from there it's up to the players to decide how things unravel over the summer. Will favorite couples stay together? Will Rachel force the New Directions into New Directions Boot camp? Will Puck convince them to go to Vegas? Only the hot, humid summer days and the even hotter nights will tell. Game opened officially on May 28th, and school lets out on June 17th. Apply now to avoid missing all the summer fun! MOST WANTED: Sam Evans, Mike Chang, Tina Cohen-Chang, Jesse St. James, Azimio Adams, Dustin Gooslby, Carole Hudson, Warblers, Jocks, Adults; OC's now accepted |
Two days ago this was an empty lot, an abandoned field near the edge of town. Then the trucks rolled in, big semis huffing clouds of noxious fumes, and able-bodied men jumped out to set stakes in the ground, run string to mark off areas. The townspeople whispered excitedly as the posters and flyers arrived around town, posted on telephone poles and bulletin boards, stacks of them on the counters in shops. The Dark Carnival was in town. The tents aren't the gay red and white stripes of the carnivals of yesteryear; these are black and gray, burgundy and purple, dark jewel tones lit from within by lanterns and candles and blacklights. Torches burn at the entrance and a sign warns all who enter that they are lost. The Ferris Wheel is a hulking beast against the sky; carnies walk among the crowd dressed in leather jackets embroidered like a skeleton's infrastructure, weaving expertly between the marks. Barkers call to passersby, luring them in for the sights and sounds. Canvas banners ripple in the wind, which carries with it the scent of food cooking, the hot smell of machinery and oil. There are cries of laughter and delighted squeals coming from the funhouse, the freak tent, the thrill rides. People walk out of the psychic's tent looking a little uneasy, laughing it off as hokum even as their skin crawls. And some of those shrieks from the funhouse... well, they sound a little too sincere, don't they? This is the Dark Carnival. This is a very active AIM and thread-based game with a varied cast and community and extremely friendly and talented players and attentive mods. We pride ourselves on interesting and unique character concepts, high standards of writing, and plenty of mixers, pairing challenges and more in the works to keep the community interesting and unpredictable. We have a high activity level and fantastic new plots introduced all the time! If you're interested in a unique, fun, exciting original-character supernatural game set in modern times in the basis of a dark, goth carnival, then please take a look! Specifically wanted: tattoo artist(s), body modifiers, trapeze artist, burlesque dancers, roustabouts, shills, vendors/merchants, artisans, security personnel, game booth operators, food vendors/cooks, alcohol servers, candymaker, etc. |

Welcome to hetatweet, a Hetalia-centric RP community which combines Livejournal with Twitter in order to create a friendly, tight knit community in which we can combine roleplaying, and real time interaction between players. Basically, all roleplaying is done on Twitter instead of Livejournal or a forum, and everything else (updates, introductions, applications, etc.) will be done on Livejournal. Twitter is a great way for people who have never rp'd before to get some experience as most of the replies tend to be short. If you've never used Twitter before, we're happy to help new players get used to the platform. We've got a lots of spots that need to be filled. In particular, we're looking for the lot of Europe (especially Hungary, Italy, America, Latvia, and Estonia) and we even have some Axis, and an ally available (the rest of the list is here and the application is here). Currently we're trying to plan a few summer events for our members. We have a poll up for everyone to vote on their favorites or even suggest a few that they want to see in the future. |

Time waits for no man, not even heroes. Many of the first generation of mutants have grown up, settled down, and had their own families. Others have disappeared into the mists of time. Some have passed on. Despite the changes, some things have stayed the same. The world still needs saving from itself. There are still those who are angry at the status quo. There are still those who work to make a difference. And in the wake of disaster, the world still seems to wonder if it can truly trust its mutant citizens. |
XKin is a second generation Marvel Universe game that takes an alternate universe to Marvel 616 canon after the year 2005. Decimation? Didn’t happen. Civil War? Not even close. In this divergent world, Jean Grey is dead. Magneto was never revived by his daughter and the Scarlet Witch outright disappeared. So what did happen? You tell us. By 2031, the children of the original heroes and villains have grown up. Will they follow their parents? Or rebel to find their own destinies? Under the leadership of Exodus, the Brotherhood had risen again with cells across the United States and part of Europe. In San Francisco, a new, younger group of X-Men have been stationed to respond to the growing tensions in mutant/human relations and the freshly established cell of the Brotherhood that has begun to run amok in the city. With political fervor torn on whether or not the younger generation of mutants present a threat to the population, newly re-instated Sentinel Project, the re-emergence of Mr. Sinister, and a slew of issues on the horizon, this new generation already has a lot to handle. While XKin does feature overarching storylines, the game encourages player run plots and character development. Many popular character pairings are still open! And there are a slew of lines available for connections on our WANTED character list. |

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see the members of New Directions as witches and wizards in training? Ever thought about what would happen if the Gleeks ventured into the Forbidden Forest? Want to see them hang at Hogsmeade or shop around Diagon Alley? Well, Do You Believe In Magic is the place for you! For years, Lady Tromedlov and her legion of Death Eaters have wreaked havoc upon the wizarding community. Terror and death plagued the United States until she was killed by a brave group of wizards and witches. Her legion, sadistic and ruthless, were (and still are) dedicated to her cause. Some have been imprisoned and sent to Azkaban, others have hidden away from the public eye. They wait in the darkness for the return of their leader. Ten years following the death of the world’s most feared villainess, the wizarding world is finally at peace and a set of students (new and old) are filling the halls of Hogwarts. The glee club members are in their 5th and 6th years at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, ready to continue their fun-filled year. Amidst relationship drama, diva-offs over solos, and balancing adolescence with magic, will the New Directions manage to make it to Nationals in New York before imploding? Apply for a gleek and enter the world of wizards, witches, spells and songs. Original characters are welcome and encouraged. The game started on December 1st. There are no holds on canon characters, so get in those applications! |
hold on to that feeling. |
As the hearts of mighty civilizations rose, fell, and their influence shifted westward, so, too, did the divine epicenters of the deities they worshipped. Even the gods, demigods, monsters and mortal heroes fell subject to the same ruin, and were thrust into the cycle of rebirth and placed at the mercies of warring powers older and more powerful than they ever were. Now, each of these ancient seats of power (Asgard, Olympus, Avalon, the Third World, Waset, The Garden of Eden) lies hidden somewhere in the United States, each calling to its respective divinities. The figures themselves, now all born into mortal human bodies, must rediscover these epicenters, and in doing so, uncover their powers, reclaim their ancient seats, and restore their ancient and rightful glories. The path will not be easy, however. The powers they once wielded have been diminished in their human forms, but they are still awesome enough to elicit both wonder and fear from the ordinary citizens around them. Many obstacles will stand in their way, and they are still subject to the ongoing battles of the ancient and mysterious forces that have created this situation. They will have to rely on each other to become the faces of divine power once again. |
