New York City has always had a history of crime, in both the Muggle and Wizarding Worlds. But the criminals have one obstacle in their way. The Aurors. The Division in New York is known for being the elite, and best trained in the country.

The years is 2011 and crime is on the rise. Those still supporting the dark arts for the past in Europe retreated across the ocean. The United States is the land of opportunity. But crime is motivated less by blood purity, now it's about money and power.

The Aurors follows the lives of those in the Auror Division and those who work in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in New York.

Your journey began with the arrival of a mysterious ticket... ...that beckoned to your heart's deepest desire. You were personally escorted by helicopter to the lush landscape of a beautiful 11th century castle. But nothing is quite as you expected. Is it ever? You soon meet others who tell similar stories of broken promises, but now the helicopter is long gone and they say there's no way out. To make matters wors--more interesting, it looks like this castle is shaping up to be more than it seems. Yesterday someone told you you can go, but you can never leave. You thought they were crazy, but not anymore. The dawn of time? Thousands of years into the future? It's all possible with a neat little row of shiny red buttons. This castle has a rich history, and you're about to live it. If galavanting around time isn't for you, maybe you'd rather play in at an old fashioned battle between good and evil. And if not, maybe you shouldn't have accepted that ticket after all. WELCOME TO THE CROWDED HOUR

The Crowded Hour is a dark multi-fandom game throughout several different time periods. The setting is realistic, biblical based, with supernatural and some science fictional tones. The concept is based on the character's abilities to travel through time (but not space) and freely visit the castle at different points throughout its rich history. There is a purpose for your character being here and the game is plot-driven, though it is also easy for you to ignore many of the plot elements in favor of leisurely exploring the many different time periods: including a vibrant city, an apocalyptic wasteland, and even the garden of Eden.

The year is 2011. It has been six years since the governments of the world admitted to the existence of the Augmented-- a new sub-species of humans with superhuman abilities, caused by genetic mutations. The source of these 'Augmentations', as the people have termed them, has yet to be discovered (or, as the more cynical will say, 'admitted to') by any government or agency involved. And yes, for better or worse, multiple governments and agencies have decided to, or been forced into, involving themselves.

As with any great social debate, the Augmented 'Issue' has reached the international stage. The usual powers have drawn the expected lines; from the more permissive countries passing Civil Rights legislation, to the more traditional passing "human rights" laws to protect real humans from the 'creatures' and 'freaks' that science has supposedly inflicted on Mankind. America, with its moderate stance and decided lack of action, has received the limelight once again on the eve of multiple high-profile bills and laws being slated to roll through Congress. Issues concerning identification and registration of the Augmented, civil rights concerns, even the patent for a cure, are all slowly inching their way through the American bureaucratic machine.

All the while, the two 'non-political' factions, led by the Augmented themselves, are already in the midst of cautiously (or, in some cases, anxiously) preparing for the war to come. Because no matter the decisions, there will be fallout. And no one, human or Augmented, will be left unaffected.

augmented is an original character (OC) superpowers game in the vein of the X-Men, Watchmen, and other politically-driven superhero/mutant franchises. Both human and Augmented characters are welcome and encouraged to take part in the war (metaphorical and literal) over the question of what, exactly, it is to be (super)human.

A DESPERATE WISH It was a battle like any other. A fight they had fought for so long. The Brotherhood, run up against the X-Men. One trying to stop humanity's destruction of their own kind, one trying to protect all of mankind. Human and mutant alike. There were injuries, and there was fatigue. It was a parting shot, and still no one knows who took it. All they know is time, slowed. Pietro, known for his speed, had stopped. Somehow been hit and fallen. His sister, Wanda, turned and seeing his limp form, eye staring blankly at the sky, screamed enraged. She threw herself, and her powers, over his body, a silent plea for help, any sort of help. Her powers of reality manipulation pushed to their breaking and she too went limp. But not before the world shimmered, and changed. Our reality, absorbed, absorbing another. Heroes and villains alike felt the odd shift, but none know exactly what has happened. Only that fallen comrades have returned. Loved ones, once thought lost, brought back, and new heroes, new enemies, emerged. The worlds of Marvel and D/C have joined. But do they trust each other? Or find a way to somehow separate their worlds once again? Knowing the consequences could be blinking out of existence all together. A MAGNIFICENT POWER

Over at

theyearspassed, my human here is looking to have his ex-girlfriend cast.

Her name is Lily, she's a giftedhuman (a telepath), in her late 20's early 30's. Issac left her after she revealed to him that she wasn't like him. They were very much in love, planning a future together, and this whole revelation has turned that on it's head.

I'm not too picky about the pb, I just don't want Rachel McAdams. They were a cute couple in real life, but let's just let that go, shall we?
