The Premise There’s a world beneath the London you know, a world that smells of brimstone and blood, where magic lives alongside the mundane. It’s a world where you can buy abilities at a travelling Market, where when the circus rolls into town it brings nightmares with it, and is presided over by an organisation so old, time has forgotten when the Library began. It’s a world where anything goes, where London is just another board for the game and gamble for souls is taking place and you might - just might - encounter one of Heaven’s own or a demon amid the crowds on the underground and they play to win. |
Wanted We need: those who are trying to understand and adapt to abilities -- the firestarter with the potential to make everything a bit smoky, the telekinetic fighting for control, the weather-manipulator with a few false starts to become residents at Haven, the in-game sanctuary for the struggling. We need Librarians, those well-controlled individuals who know exactly where the balance ought be between Heaven and Hell and who are unafraid to face off the denizens of both in order to fight for it. We need the self-interested, those souls striking out and fearless of repercussions. We need the rest of the Market family, the magical mafia themselves with fingers in all magical operations across the city! |

I might have a couple of BFF lines for him but I need someone who's known him forever and his dark secret! Will give details!

Links Impending Darkness Character List and PB's Rules OOC Application FAQ | It's the year 1997, and Harry Potter, along with his inseparable friends, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, are in their seventh year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Potter family is still intact, as is the Weasley and the Granger, and none of them have had the name 'Lord Voldemort' ever stain their ears. Yet. Tensions in the wizarding world are on the rise, and people are slowly disappearing, never to be seen again. But this isn't really all that strange, is it? Not since only a few have disappeared, after all. It could have been an unexpected invite to the countryside. Or perhaps they left on their own accord? Prestigious families... The Malfoys, the Carrows, the Blacks, the Lestranges, have all been acting strangely, almost secretive these past few months. Some whisper that a Dark Lord is rising, and that he plans to rid the world of its filth and impurities. But something of that magnitude is simply preposterous. A dark wizard? This is reality, not some story told out of a children book. There hasn't been a serious dark wizard in ages, let alone one that has ever been successful. ...Right? The peace that existed amongst wizards will soon be shattered, along with their hopes of security and protection, as shadows are cast over their world. X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, the game has been running since May 5, 2003 and uses a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. The game would prefer applicants to consider available NPCs and socks, but applications for new/previously unplayed characters will be considered, especially if they're students under 17. To help give you an idea of each character's history, a series of "cards" for each available character/NPC is available and, from there, applicants can easily reach the character's wiki page.

 2005; New Orleans is struck by Hurricane Katrina. Considered the fifth worst natural disaster in the history of the United States, the hurricane claimed over a thousand lives, and caused over $81 billion dollars in damage. Reconstruction of the beloved port city would take years. The vampires of the New Orleans coven - survivors of Queen Akasha's attempted genocide - were scattered. Some remained together, others traveled alone, but all were removed from the city that had become their home. Present day; a few of the older vampires have returned to N.O. in an attempt to help with reconstruction. One such vampire is Marius de Romanus, posing as a man of wealth and leisure. He buys up properties, fixing them up and renting them to mortals. He also opens a book store and an art gallery, using both of these as a means by which to stay updated with the current day. He provides shelter for new vampires in the area, and seeks to recreate the city as it once was. Slowly, the other vampires are returning as well, some through letters sent by Marius, some simply to see what has become of the city. And some are drawn back by rumor. A myth that has been around for over 700 years speaks of a myriad of objects that can restore a vampire from monster to something closer to human. There has been little proof for this myth, and so many discount it - yet its telling persists. A local museum showing may offer more answers. You are here, in New Orleans. Be you mortal or immortal (or something else entirely), you are welcome to join us in our quest - should it be for redemption, for immortality, or something else, we do not know.
