CITY OF NOTIONS
The year is 2161. Technology has expanded with the march of time: holographic communication, personalized mini-computers, humanoid robots... all of these things exist, especially if you’ve got enough money. But the real evolution? The humans themselves. Welcome to Boston, the City of Notions. Embrace the future: embrace the evolution.

The City of Notions is an original character, supernatural, mystery game set in futuristic Boston and focusing on a group of evolved humans working in and around the Boston Police Department and Crime Lab. When a series of serial killings leaves three women dead in a rather... Shakespearean manner, the detectives of the BPD struggle to piece together the mysterious painted clues left at each crime scene. Little do they know that the killings are much, much more than random violence: someone is systematically killing off the city’s powered humans -- someone with a plan.

Welcome to The Flying Dutchman, Davey Jones' locker for all lost souls. At a crucial moment in your character's history, the universe split. Destiny went its merry way and your character got stuck in a time rip on a luxury cruise ship staffed completely by ghosts. The ship's unplottable. The amenities are free. There are others like you, all trying to get home. So you can either enjoy yourself, or waste your unscheduled vacation worrying yourself over a way to get home. The choice is yours. Of course you may have to deal with a hiccup or two on the way, like sea monsters and deserted islands.

Within the lands of the True Game, humans have come to possess any combination of eleven different talents. Beguiling, elating, firestarting, flight, healing, moving, necromancy, reading, seeing, shapeshifting, and storing. People can have complete control over only one ability, or moderate levels of up to four. The world is rife with the talented but it's usually rare to find two of the exact same combinations of talents.

Here in the Sapphire Domain, multiple talents abound though few are known to have only beguiling as a talent. Not only is this domain know for its low number of beguilers, but for an amazing amounts of years of victory in battle and peace. In fact, the domain seems just a little too perfect. What could be being hidden within its borders?

The Sapphire Domain has been unscathed by games for the last ten years. Some say Willem is the most intelligent, tactical and all around best ruler the Sapphire Domain has ever had. Others wonder just what powers he holds that have kept him and his contingency from ever losing a battle. Whispers abound: is he hiding something? Is there a greater power than his? But the real question is, how much longer can his winning streak last?

School is back in session! Come join the brand new Glee rpg, McKinley High at InsaneJournal (100 icon limit guys, 'nuff said)! The game starts with the new school year and everything through season 1 is canon, though the game will differ from there on out.

What is this place? Bibliophagic is a place for book-based fandom characters to play. They will have a "shared world" where all fandoms can interact and be able to have threads and plots in their "home worlds" as well.

But what if I can't keep up with posting requirements? There aren't any! Just post whenever you feel like it. We're all busy, this will be a place to unwind and enjoy yourself.

I don't want to deal with AIM. You don't have to! If you want to have it, go for it. If you don't, that's fine too.

I don't want to fill out a twenty-page application just to play. Well, who does? All you'll need is a short history and some proof that you can write. Easy peasy. If you want to write more, that's awesome, but it isn't expected.

How can I be part of this wondrous place? All the stuff you need to know is right down there with convenient clicky links. Click them and you're halfway to playing.

When does the game start? When we get a few characters in the game. I'm thinking five? Is that a good number? Yeah. We'll go with five.

Who are the most wanted characters? Well...there aren't any, as such, but the mod has a character from The Hunger Games and would be awfully tickled with more. But anybody is welcome! Honest! I kid you not!
