The original five kingdoms were as thus: the Northern Lights, the Midgard (later split into the Craig to the west and the Sommerlands to the east), the Edge, the Six Keys and Starfall. These were united under the rule of House Vysgoth and together brought an end to the First, heralding the Year of Mankind's Dominion. The calendar now marks 1328 Anno Dominium Hominis. It has been sixty years since Prince Eulorys II was survived by his father the King Rhaemar, whose spirit soon followed in grief. Whereas Eulorys II's infant son, Daemon III, stood to inherit the crown, this line of succession was contested by Vaelarys, the Second of Rhaemar's Name. Backed by half the lords of the land, including, unexpectedly, Lord Vallens the Kingmaker, the dispute was soon settled in a bloodless coup. | The forest is like a strange dream. Clear in some places, impossibly hazy in others. It’s easy to get lost, to think you’re home... to be nowhere and everywhere at once. Paths weave between clearings and change seemingly of their own accord and sometimes people seem to change or come from entirely different times than they had once before. It’s enough to drive someone mad. Once you get in, some are trapped and some seem to flit too and fro from the forest to their homes and back. If you’re lucky, and the forest is accommodating, it might even make itself feel like home. Everything goes. The laws of man and natures hardly ever apply. New people will be stumbled upon and old friends may become hard to find. You had better mind your step. | The Forest of Dreamers welcomes players of all ages, from thirteen to a hundred and thirteen, however those under the age of eighteen are subject to a few limitations (no smut/largely adult themes) to protect both them and the community at large. All kinds of characters are welcome, all kinds of storylines so long as it does not violate our few simple rules which can be found here. You've had a long day. You're tired. All you want to do is go home and go to bed. As you reach your room, you notice something strange on the nightstand. A softly glowing orb, swirling in hues of blue and purple. It is mesmerizing. Hypnotizing. You can't help but reach out and touch it. As your hand connects with its smooth surface, you hear a chorus of voices in your head, saying: "You are a divergence. This life, this reality, is not meant to be. We have weighed all options, and you can no longer exist here. But do not fear. We are in need of you. You must come with us. Do not fear." As the voices fade, you are bathed in a bright light, the overwhelming feeling of falling from a great height takes over. You're weightless. Floating. It seems like hours pass, but it has been only seconds. As the light fades, you come to in a bedroom not unlike your own, in a small apartment. Beyond the doors you will find the Facility. This is your new life... Welcome to Divergence, an alternate universe RPG. All characters here deviate from their original canon in one form or another. Your character has been plucked from their reality by omnipotent, energy-based alien lifeforms, and placed in the Facility. They will all have jobs, and be asked to go on missions for these aliens to strange and distant worlds. Some people will welcome the change, others will fight against it. But either way, you're stuck here... |

mitochondrion! This boy needs to have a turbulent relationship with his dad. Luke is very rebellious and, while he'll often listen to his mom, he'll always be butting heads with his dad. [Father] Fox would also have a rocky relationship with Lily Fox, Luke's (adopted) mom. Luke just turned eighteen so now Lily is thinking about getting a divorce. No fluffy relationship stuff with Lily would be necessary by any means, although Luke's dad is allowed to cheat with reckless abandon.
