The Silver Age is Over!

Time waits for no man, not even heroes. Many of the first generation of mutants have grown up, settled down, and had their own families. Others have disappeared into the mists of time. Some have passed on. Despite the changes, some things have stayed the same. The world still needs saving from itself. There are still those who are angry at the status quo. The world still seems to wonder if it can truly trust its mutant citizens.
XKin is a second generation Marvel Universe game that takes an alternate history approach to canon after the year 2005. Decimation? Didn’t happen. Civil War? Not even close. In this divergent world, Jean Grey is dead. Magneto was never revived by his daughter and the Scarlet Witch outright disappeared. So what did happen? You tell us. By 2030, the children of the original heroes and villains have grown up. Will they follow their parents? Or rebel?

While XKin does feature overarching storylines, the game encourages player run plots and character development. Many canon-based pairings have been provided as suggested guidelines and original characters are accepted!

September 27 the year of Our Lord 1510

      The seat of Saint Peter has not been an easy one to occupy since my ascension from Cardinal of Italy to Holy Father. I have seen the rise of three coronations, making boys – Kings. The Kings of Europe are strong in power and strong in wealth but weak in spirituality. Their courts are full of scandal, debauchery, betrayal and immorality. The King of France has dozens of illegitimate children, the King of England is a hidden opponent of the True Faith and it’s said he has pagan witches that do his bidding, the only King that is faithful to Rome is the Spanish King but he is a blood thirsty King. I am the Vicar of Christ, Lord, in His name give me the wisdom to guide these kings and keep them from dismantling themselves and their realms.

Hello!

Welcome to Algul Siento. It's much nicer than our previous location -- many of the people here will tell you that very thing. Granted, some of the newer residents have only ever known this place, but we like to hang onto some of our guests longer than others.

If you haven't pieced it together yet, you've been kidnapped. Not for ransom or anything that someone else can exchange for your freedom, but for observation. We're curious to see how long it takes an ever-shifting group of strangers to find their way to freedom, or if they can at all. In the meantime, we'll be observing you as we perform a series of different experiments. You may be exposed to chemicals, smells, odd dreams, or other out of place things around the island. You may be placed under attack and made to defend yourself.

If we found any firearms in your home or room when we abducted you, they've been cleaned of ammunition and left in your nightstand drawer. Other items of interest we found were brought along and are in your room as well. If you are a person of talent or magic, you'll find that not all of your talents will work properly. Don't worry, this is completely normal for this situation.

We strongly advise against taking out your frustrations on the other residents. We also insist you exercise caution when venturing off the marked paths. There are dangers here we didn't see fit to remove for the duration of your stay.

LOOKING FOR FEMALE FIANCEE
for [info]mrbeauty at [info]athenaeum. Name (Caitlin Dormer) is changeable, age should be around 24-27. I do plan on breaking them up, but it should be lots of fun development and drama!! PB is up to you. For the literary character she's based on, it would be tons of fun if she were based on a fairy tale as well, such as Sleeping Beauty, since he's based on Beauty of Beauty and the Beast.
