For as long as anyone can remember, the City has always been one of the largest metropolitan centers in the world. It has had its share of glory and decline, but none so great as the age following the founding of OzCorp. Michael Ozma was no man of magic, but he might as well have been, for the technological wonders he wrought.

Today, however, the Gilded Age is long past. OzCorp, now led by Ozma's three daughters, has become corrupt, and the City has fallen from its glory days. Crime and drugs now rule the streets, though some aristocrats continue to live above it all.

Inspired by folk-lore and fairy-tales, Not So Far Away is a unique Role-Playing World that brings characters from fairytale, folklore, and mythology from around the world together into an ever-expanding universe.

The new school year has started and X-Project needs students, ages 14-17! We have a number of previously played socks and NPCs available or we'd welcome new youngsters to begin at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.



Plenty of gaming opportunities exist, from the New Mutants training team to groups such as the Red Cross initiative Red X. NGO, Elpis and the mutant-human coexistence group HeliX. Or there's just the wacky hijinks that happen when you have a house full of super-powered teenagers living with a superhero team in the basement.



X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 5, 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. Be it classic superhero adventures, high school drama, dark and gritty spy games or interpersonal relationships, X-Project caters to everyone.

X-Project is currently focusing our advertising towards filling some of our unplayed characters and available NPCs. We will still look at applications for new characters, but our preference is for applications for socks. To help give you an idea of each character's history, we have a series of "cards" for each available character/NPC.

Life changed in 1930 for every wizard and witch in London. Gellert Grindelwald killed Albus Dumbledore on a muggle street and rose to power. Nothing is like it should be. It wasn't long before Grindelwald extended his power to the muggle world as well as the magical world. Halfbloods, muggleborns, and even muggles live in fear. Breaking boundaries and rewriting old laws, he controlled everything he could see. Unhappy with just that, he stretched his power, spanning countries. The Class of the Chrysanthemum rose early against the dark dictator, only to be broken into factions when their leader, Cassiopeia Black, met her untimely death at the end of Grindelwald's wand. Still the Class of the Chrysanthemum fought on in factions, not knowing who to trust. It's war, but no one seems to know it. Set seventy years after his initial take over in 2000, the new millennium, some people still hold hope for the future, but some have given up entirely. Most wanted: Andromeda Tonks, Ted Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy, Regulus Black, Luna Lovegood, Parvati Patil, Padma Patil, Alicia Spinnet, Seamus Finnigan, Dean Thomas, Rabastan Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange, Pansy Parkinson, Hermione Granger, Bill Weasley, and many more. There have been talks of a place, a place called Arcadia. This place is said to have food, shelter and security...but what everyone doesn't know is that Umbrella are the ones behind it. In a world ravaged by the virus, in 2010 there are new 'big bads' to be seen, new people and survivors to meet and different places around the world to visit.

Join any lone survivor and their quest for freedom from the virus and Umbrella, and also a fight for their lives.

This game takes place during 'Afterlife' the movie, and mixes the games as well.

CRIME FAMILIES The Pavoni Family Ruled by the Don, the Pavoni family is who you deal with when you want a roscoe on the sly or a certain amount of money to disappear and even a few C notes for that pretty dame on the corner. Pleasant and easy charmers, the Italian family is your friend until you're late on a payment in which case you better take a bunk and fast, because this family doesn't play around. More likely to bump you off then break your legs if you decide to skip a payment or two, they mean business because they didn't get to top by letting little hoods like you off the hook. Governed by specific rules, unique from the other mob families, the Italian's won't go after women or children under the threat of severe punishment. So while your family may be safe, if you cross them, you better kiss your caboose goodbye because this family is ruthless. So you wanna join the family, kid? Need a few slugs for that neighbour of yours? Maybe a couple dimes to rub together for your family to eat? The Pavoni's can be found at Il Canto, with a warm smile and a warm gun. The King of France has dozens of illegitimate children, the King of England is a hidden opponent of the True Faith and it’s said he has pagan witches that do his bidding, the only King that is faithful to Rome is the Spanish King but he is a blood thirsty King.
