Grave Comfort is a supernaturally themed original character role-playing game set in a fictitious small town known as Comfort, Virginia. Established in 1763, Comfort has a rich history going back to the original colonies of America. In the present day, it is famous for the strange goings-on that happen throughout the town: mysterious lights over the woods, a haunted former prison for the criminally insane, haunted train tracks, the remains of a 19th century cult that ended in mass murder...there was even a cult slasher film series based on the town's supernatural history that has spawned an annual horror film festival. Typical tourist attractions can be found in town too, from tours on the Buckley Plantation or at the Thorpe winery to visits to the Historical Society's Museum or one of the many art galleries in town. Come to Comfort for its attractions, stay to experience its oddities.

On June 4th, 1973, the first sighting of the Dark Mark was reported over the home of Quentin Parrish, the Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and a Muggleborn. Two days later, Albus Dumbledore met with Minerva McGonagall and Alastor Moody. One thing was certain: You-Know-Who was gearing up and the Ministry under Hensmoke was no longer equipped to handle the crisis. Not alone.

So the Order of the Phoenix was born from the ashes of this tragedy. Will you join in their fight? Or does the Dark Lord hold you under his sway?

It's no longer our world...


Everyone knew it was coming. The end of the world as we knew it. Great care is being taken to protect the living. The newly formed world government created Salus, a home for the survivors of what they may as well declare the apocolypse. But something doesn't add up. People go missing for days at a time and then return as if nothing was wrong. One day, they'll wake up changed...but it never lasts long. Through it all, the residents of Salus are surviving. They're socializing, creating, and falling in love. But the question remains:

Premise

Two vampire governments have been fighting to control the world since before you were born. Though often their fighting (especially in recent times) has been contained to small skirmishes and common hostility.

The Sabbat has fought their way farther into Camarilla territory than ever before. The Camarilla has no choice.

A war has begun.

New York, a city formerly controlled by the Camarilla, has become an open war-zone, with every night full of unseen fighting and death. The elysiums have shut down. As a response to the massive amounts of dead Camarilla, the Prince of San Francisco has declared that any embraces are now allowed. This has caused a slew of of brand new Cainites on both sides. New York is divided into small divisions that are either Sabbat or Camarilla territory, though they frequently change hands. Terrified for themselves, the Camarilla Council sits in Europe, giving small bits of advice but generally abandoning the New World to the growing threat of the Sabbat. The outcome of this war seems to lie upon the shoulders of the Kindred on this continent.
