Set on it's own private island among the Seychelle islands, Ile Blanc, named so for its breathtaking white sand beaches, is rated one of the world's foremost destinations. Guests are treated to the highest quality food, beverages, amenities and customer service. Everything they could possibly want is at their disposal, and if it's not, it's brought in by the end of the day. This game is about the people behind the luxury: the ones cleaning the rooms, and serving the drinks. All characters are staff members of Ile Blanc, ranging from housekeepers, to dive instructors, to waiters, to casino staff and more. The staff have full use of all facilities on their time off and are free to use whatever amenities that are available. Everything included in the guest's stay is also free of charge for the staff, which means everything but liquor, the casinos, and the shopping outlets. Staff members are encouraged to partake in any of the facilities to better their knowledge of what's available for guests. The Island Ile Blanc is a small island about 5 miles off the coast of Mahe in the island chain known as Seychelles. The fictional island opened in October of '08 and caters to an exclusive clientele and boasts more amenities than most. Small shuttles are needed to bring guests to various parts of the island and the hotel itself is made up of several buildings and bungalows. The main building as it is so aptly named is located on the west shore of the island and is the biggest building by far, holding most of the indoor amenities. The guest rooms/bungalows are located in five different locations around the island and the staff housing is located centrally (it's about a mile walk to the main resort and the staff share golf carts for easier access). We're looking for some fresh faces. Game focuses on threading/log as well as journal interactions. AIM is not required. We have welcoming talented writers, and we're looking for like-minded people to join the game. |

On May 02, 1998, a battle broke out at Hogwarts. The battle. Students, professors, creatures, The Order and Death Eaters alike fought hard for their beliefs. And then, Harry came forward, and history was made when he defeated Voldemort. Peace does not come easy though. There was a heavy price and they're only just beginning to pay it. May 02 is a trio-era game set in the wake of the Final Battle. Picking up the day of and just after the ending of the final battle, we will follow our beloved characters as they grieve, fight and work to rebuild their lives, and attempt to find their place in the world as it stands now. Cure-all: (noun) Something believed to cure all human disorders.
It started with The Cure: a drug designed to inhibit and reverse the effects of an active x-gene. The very gene which is responsible for the mutation of thousands of people across the globe. While some saw it as an option for those less fortunate mutants who’s x-gene simply left them physically disfigured, or those with powers that made every day life difficult, others saw it as a weapon. One which would even the playing field for the weaker of the two species: man. While the creators boasted about how powerful The Cure was, time proved it was no match to the way in which the x-gene could make a body adapt. Eventually, The Cure failed. But not before those who’d been offended by it’s very existence were ready to strike back.
Four years later, The Cure-All was a sort of response to The Cure. It was made for all humans who no longer wanted to be weak, who wanted to be part of the next evolutionary step of humanity. Like The Cure, at first, it worked perfectly. But only at first.
Three months after the first human had undergone the change to homo-superior, the powers and mutations seemed to fade. What was left in place of the homo-superior, however, wasn’t quite human. Still alive, they were reduced to one basic instinct: the need to feed. Their choice of meal? Human and homo-superior flesh.
Humans who were so much as scratched or bitten changed into these infected creatures within days. Homo-superior were highly resistant to the disease, yet blood transfer was fatal. Not to mention, the infected outnumbered homo-superior a thousand to one. Numbers dropped significantly, especially for those who remained in the large cities, as they simply became overwhelmed by the infected. Within six months, it had spread throughout the world and infected all but a handful of the human population (who were tucked away underground) and killed around a quarter of the mutant population. Those who survived learned that staying on the move meant staying alive. If they stopped anywhere too long, the infected would come. Only a few at first, but then more and more until their numbers were impossible to fight off. In the end it became a matter of fight together or die alone, and surviving was all anyone could hope for.
