its a wild, wild world out there

The year is 2027, and all is well...mostly. The children after the war have mostly grown up and are slowly starting their own lives. Slowly. They have time, which is not something the generations of the past have felt. There is no war, no crumbling society to rebuild. There's time to waste, there's fun to be had.It's time for the Next Generation to start the fearful process of growing up, getting jobs, settling down. Though first loves are never last loves and debauchery is alive and well in today's youth.

Though... there are whispers of an old Purist, a former Death Eater, whispers that he's forcing a "Bill of Magical Marriage" on the Wizengamot. There's a bit of fear that he'll have his way by February, fear that his argument is becoming too convincing. If the Wizengamot votes in his favour, not even Kingsley Shacklebolt will be able to stop it from coming to fruition.

What's odd enough, people still support this bill. These antiquated ideas of "Magical Lineage" and "Inferior Muggle Blood" are still instilled in some of the children of the new generation. The Bill of Magical Marriage goes up in front of the Wizengamot on April 1st, 2027. Will you be protesting it or protecting it?

But even if it's rejected by the Wizengamot, the plans won't just stop there...

It's the year 2109 and one hundred years has past since Bella and Edward tied the knot and a lot has changed. Jacob and Nessie moved to Juno to live together and for Nessie to go to school. Bella and Edward went to live with the African tribe for a while. Esme, Carlisle, Alice and Jasper went to stay with Tanya’s coven while Rosalie and Emmet went to Europe on their own adventure.

Longing for each others companionship once more they return to Forks to their home to hopefully live in peace for a few years but that is shattered once Rose and Emmet return with a redhaired child who could not be more then ten. Her name is Arial and she was sired by Rosalie.

You can be a Casino owner, entertainer, or locals/player. Who you are is all based on the card you choose. Aces are the casino owners. They're rich, powerful, and on top of the world. The name of your Casino is the name of your suite. Face cards and Jokers are the entertainers. Depending on the suite determines which Casino you work at. You can be any kind of entertainer you want as long as it's one that would be present in a Casino. The next step is beginning for Red Tape. Mages of every sphere have been working together in attempts of finding the missing object that allows their gifts to even exist at all, yet only few clues have been uncovered, and nothing of note. Feeling less sure of themselves than they did originally, many are beginning to lose hope that they'll ever find the object at all. But just when the mages think the consequences can get no worse, two very important events occur almost simultaneously, perhaps even suggesting that the object is right under their noses.

The Space mages simply disappeared. No one can tell for sure yet, but they have every one of them been swallowed up by the Void that they sought so hard to tame over the centuries.

But so much magical energy cannot just vanish.

Faraway from the families––and sometimes right under their noses,––a number of humans, most frequently called "new mages," are starting to demonstrate the capacity for magic. None of them seem to be able to do the same things, but from the few run-ins the mages from the families have had, these new mages all have one thing in common: all of them can tell apart the mages from regular humans right from the get-go, even if they don't know what they're sensing.

Predictably, the mages from the families are of divided opinions on these new mages. Some deliberately try to seek these individuals out, while others hug their knowledge possessively to themselves; not everyone means them well.

The Premise
It's the year 2004, six years after the war and life has moved on in peace since the defeat of Voldemort in the battle of Hogwarts. In this time of quiet, a sudden string of disappearances shakes the wizarding world. No one knows where the disappeared people are, what's happened to them, if they're alive or dead or even if they left by their own choice or not. Aurors stand without answers; newspapers and radio speculate wildly and the Ministry is in an internal uproar of power struggle and arguments. In these times, Aurors and hit-wizards are given more authority as more and more rules and laws are set aside as the Ministry tries to persuade people they're safe from harm.

What is going on? What is happening to those who disappear? Why are some groups targeted more by the Ministry's new actions than others? Does the Ministry know something they're not letting on? And does perhaps the Minister himself have something to do with what is going on?

Let your character help to sort out what is real from what is false...
The Game
Enigma is a role-playing game based on the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. The setting takes place six years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ends and the game is canon compliant to all seven books (minus the epilogue).

We are looking for creative and active players who want to build a story not only for their characters but for the game as a whole as well. Speculation, attempts of finding those missing and solving the mystery are all welcomed with open arms. All levels of experience are welcome, as long as you're willing to commit to the game and the events that unfold in it.

If you are mostly interested in romance, sex and/or social events, this is likely not the game for you.

A NEW ERA

It's the year 2009 and all has been quiet in the halls of Hogwart's. With most of the Death Eater population diminished and no one to lead them things were peaceful once again for more than a decade. Magical creatures and people alike joined together and celebrated. Mudbloods were hardly ever descriminated against and seen as equals by ex-death eaters who hath given in to the right path.

Harry had become a grown man, raised a family and ran off into starting a new life. The others went about their seperate ways, close cliques keeping in touch. Some of their heirs began attending their first year at Hogwarts. The Order of the Phoenix was no longer needed to protect the halls of the magical school. Old professors retired and a younger generation took over.

This became what the wizards and witches would call "The New Era" high hopes for good things to happen. Change. There was only one issue with that, some people don't like change. They either fear it or are stubborn only to loathe it. Especially one man.

This man keeps to himself, he's hardly seen as prejudice. He wears a mask to cover up whom he really is inside, he's manipulative. Although, he is a rich and nobile man he hides a secret and carrys it well. He's a powerful wizard, who lost his love durring the great war, her life taken by a mudblood. His need for vengeance consumes him, this ex death eater is about to take slow, action. He's about to recreate the Death Eaters with a new name "The Righteous Hand" and he's about to become their leader.

Who is going to stop him you ask? Since the members of the Order dissapeared into their own lives, or passed away it seems its going to take a hell of a smart student, with a certain chosen path and scar on his shoulder to take care of it. He's the son of the mudblood who took the life of the ex-Death Eaters life. As things progress into crazy in the school and in town action must be taken. With no help he is forced to make his own group called the Divine Power. He gathers a few professors onto his side and many students as time goes by. Perhaps Harry will catch wind, and the trio will return help him?

We accept anyone with any role playing experience, knowledge of the books are required. We are looking for originals as well as the following; harry potter, hermoine granger, ron weasely, ginny weasely, draco malfoy, pansy parkinson, and the canon list goes on.

"….Voldemort's powerful now. You don't know who his supporters are, you don't know who's working for him and who isn't; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able stop themselves. You're scared for yourself, and your family, and your friends. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic's in disarray, they don't know what to do, they're trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion …"

Across Europe the Wizarding Community lies in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As his numbers increase, Wizards begins to grow more uneasy, increasingly choosing to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear, unwilling to stand up and fight.

In spite of the increasing danger, a small group of vigilante Wizards has begun to pull ranks, daring to do what the Ministry fears to do; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly growing into a force to be reckoned with, threatening not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself.

Change is on the brink and the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World.

Amongst the darkness, these students are potentially the light needed to give the Order the man power to take on Voldemort’s forces. As both sides fight to gain support, one question lies: which side do you choose?
