Deceptive Perception is a game unlike most games out there today. The players are encouraged to remain anonymous while playing in order to suspend reality even more than normal. This also encourages those who might not ever meet or know each other to play together and, eventually, want to know each other. Think of this game as a place to let go of any preconceptions about anyone you may have ever met online and just play with the characters that are set out before you. The characters are supernatural beings who have existed for as long as mortal stories have been told - vampires, demons, and werewolves just to name a few. That's not to say that mortals don't still over-run the lands, but the constant supernatural presence does make some more mindful of what places they venture into on dark and stormy nights. The land itself, known as Inora, is unlike any other place within the mortal realm. The lands consist of a set of islands that cradle more than just mortals in its loving embrace. The islands were said to have been created by the vampires long ago when mortals were still young and easily manipulated. They gave themselves a place to live among the mortals who feed them, among the mortals who they rely on. They used their magic and knowledge to shape the lands to their desires while painting the earth red with blood. Eventually, other races were thrown into the fray and a century of war was fought for supremacy. Centuries passed between rulers and the times of war seemed to almost be forgotten. Even when some rulers' deaths seemed somewhat unnatural, the treaty between the demons and vampires was always upheld. Those cursed descendants of man, werewolves, always presided over the ceremonies unto which the power of the government changed hands. Eventually, the winds of change blew through the lands and the times evolved as well. New cities sprang up in the wilds and an industrial revolution took hold. But even something as simple as your perception can be deceptive and nothing is ever perfect... Characters currently not filled have been placed up on the Needed & Wanted Page in order to make it easier for potential players to see what is going on. Most of the names that are listed can be altered to suit writers' tastes if the person wanting the character has said so. We know these people exist, but we don't know everything about them. Please help us find out just who they are! Writers of this game should have control over their own story lines and, as long as nothing really drastic is needed, the mod will not intervene to stop plots unless it is deemed necessary to keep the game from jumping the shark. Of course, personal story lines are encouraged, but you are also encouraged to play with the group rather than just one or two others. Opened January 4th, 2009! Basically, we're grabbing this thing by the nuts and hoping for the best, but that doesn't mean we're not organized. After riding home on the dirigible from their journey to the Oasis of Ahm Shere and after defeating the Scorpion King, the O’Connell’s began to settle back down in their large mansion back in London. They had returned back to their daily lives, enjoying peace in which was well earned. They believed that after having faced death once and facing the Scorpion King as well as the Army of Anubis all in one day, they thought that they would be capable of handling anything that was thrown their way. Their foe Imhotep was believed to have been sent back to the underworld and was long since dead.
Several months after having settled down, just moments as they began to think the world was at peace, a knocking on the front door could be heard. Rick being near the front door at the time had opened it, only to find their old friend Ardeth Bay at the door. Rick who had an idea as to what had just been about to be said, had walked away, screaming out the words no, as if there was no other option. To Rick, Ardeth Bay had been the embodiment and bringer of bad news. His assumptions were spot on. But upon the convincing of his family he had agreed.
He had told the story of two amulets, both siblings that each contained a unique source of power. The first amulet had been the amulet of immortality and invulnerability. The second amulet had possessed the abilities of time travel, and with such a tool would cause great damage to the world let alone history as we know it. It was also believed after having had several clues to this theory that Imhotep would be resurrected. It was said that Imhotep and Anck-su-namun had the ability to guide their foes to the amulets. He had relied on his friends, the O’Connell’s to help put their foe back in the grave and prevent him from returning.
There had also been a secret society, the Djed. The Djed had been followers of Osiris, the god of the dead. They had been sworn enemies to the Medjai for thousands of years. The Djed had contained similar beliefs to that of the Medjai; however their practices and lifestyle were completely different. And although their missions may have been similar, their allegiance had been sinful. The Djed had also been lead by a once great king, the reincarnated Pharaoh Seti I. The Pharaoh had been reincarnated under an entirely different alias, and his memories were shrouded with mysteries. Like Evelyn, he too is still remembering things of his past life, but very vaguely, in which made him ignorant.
While the Pharaoh would have contained the abilities of finding the second amulet themselves, his memories were still vague. Due to this factor the Djed had entrusted their leader to help them resurrect both Imhotep and Anck-su-namun from their graves. They knew that they were capable of finding the amulets, for which matter their resurrection was of great importance to their mission. They had travelled to Hamunaptra, the city of the dead, and had located the first amulet...the amulet of immortality and invulnerability.
Upon their resurrection, the Djed had told Imhotep and Anck-su-namun the situation, telling them that their leader had hardly any memories of his past. With this knowledge Imhotep and Anck-su-namun had greeted the reincarnated Pharaoh as if they had been friends. Shortly after they had began to search for the second amulet. The second amulet, the amulet of time travel, was believed to never be in one place a second time and had constantly been at move. This amulet alone had been much more difficult to track down.
Back in London, the O’Connell’s had no idea that the first amulet had been found and began to set on their journey as to finding the amulets, and had headed for Hamunaptra, the city of the dead. With the O’Connell’s now on the move and the Djed now after the second amulet, the journey has yet to be written, let alone the destination. But it is now up to you to decide the fate of the world. Evil Eyes, an intermediate to advance RPG based on The Mummy.
Brought to you back in May 2007, Evil Eyes has been revived and is starting all over again, but this time hosted on Invisionfree! We welcome canons and original characters and require a minimum word count of two hundred words per post, but we greatly encourage more to be written! We have many options available for our characters and one of our main goals this time around is to assist original characters in getting involved into the storyline by any means necessary (even if it means partnering them up with a “Role Playing buddy”). We also have a short application process in hopes of allowing characters to develop further in-play. We are also the only living Mummy Role Playing game on the internet (as to our knowledge) and hope to tell an epic tale as we did before in our previous versions. We have friendly staff and members that are more than willing to assist you in any means possible in getting your character involved here. Our game also takes place in 1933, several months after the Mummy Returns and the O’Connell’s last adventure and we do welcome any occupations open in that timeframe (cowboys, cowgirls, archaeologists, thieves, Medjai and Djed, etcetera). So feel free to hop aboard anytime! We’re hoping that this new version of Evil Eyes will be the best version yet.

| The spirit of Shakespearean Theatre lives on in Stratford, Ontario in Canada. Established in 1915, was the Stratford Liberal Arts University. The school where your favorite characters from William Shakespeare's plays enroll or teach. Tragedy has struck the school this year when the President of the University, Hamilton Prince Sr. died under mysterious circumstances during the summer. To make the it more controversial, the late President was replaced by his brother Claudius Prince, who married widow Gertrude Prince only a couple months after the tragic death. The staff are nervous to see the affect this will have on English Professor, and only son of the former President, Hamilton Prince Jr. So far the school has tried to go back to normal. The Winter Semester has just started. The winter productions will be starting rehearsals soon, and all the classes are already going underway. Soon enough, it will be midterms. The Student Union has gone through changes, since Duncan Scott was kicked out of school, leaving Nathaniel Bath to take over as President of the Student Union. Student life seems to be getting more hectic and full of stress and the Professor's lives aren't much easier. With all the controversy and strange coincidences, will they be able to make it through the year? Follow your favorite plots, or create some more drama for yourself. However, the rise of the wizard Grindelwald and increasing tensions between the social classes resulted in the expulsion of any non-pureblooded students. Now, known Muggleborns and halfbloods are no longer accepted, and the school is known for pureblooded wizards, study of Dark Arts, rigid social classes, and tradition. Inside, there are castles towering to the sky, enchanted forests, and a host of magical creatures, but despite all of that, the kingdom is still cursed. Not just the kingdom as a whole; every single inhabitant of Regaling is born with their own curse. Some are meant to be broken, others will remain unbreakable. Regaling is one giant fairy tale. Your character will be the hero of their story, a victim in another, a love interest in the next, and maybe a villain in all the rest. Regaling is an AU multi-fandom, ani-manga, book/movie, and video game role play with a heavy importance on character development and humor with hi-jinks!!1! versus a complicated plot. The game is set up in a loose way in the hopes that characters will be able to make the game develop without having very much set in stone. It is designed in the form of a kingdom of fairy tales, with each character assuming a role in their own story and inevitably affecting the other stories around them. The Kingdom of Regaling itself is under a curse that includes curse days, during which the majority of Regaling's inhabitants will suffer from the same basic curse (though on some curse days, players can choose if they want their characters to participate or not). It could, for example, be a day when everyone switches curses, or maybe forgets about the person they hold the most important to them. However, on the normal days (and I'm using "normal" lightly here~) each character must live with their own curse. As part of Regaling's curse, each person who enters the Kingdom of Regaling, be it by birth or travel, will have a curse placed upon them. It began with a vaccine. A way to protect those who weren't already afflicted with HIV, and to perhaps help cure those who were. It was meant to save mankind. Instead, it condemned them to extinction. Entire cities fell virtually overnight. Chaos filled the streets. Governments were overturned, anarchy became the new order. Hope was lost until, almost eighteen months after the ordeal first began, a small group of the brightest minds came together and created a plan to save the world. In 2025, New Hope was created. A large, domed facility built just outside Geneva, Switzerland, New Hope was meant to be their salvation. It was safe, from both the elements and the dying victims that still roamed the neighboring hills. There was a chance to start fresh, to create life once more. They simply had to find a cure. Unfortunately, with their own health waning and time running out, a cure was further from their grasps than the stars in the sky. The answer came, they thought, in the form of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator, LHC was capable of creating a gap, between time and space. It was with this theory that the scientists spent the final moments of their life preparing New Hope for the arrivals. Videotapes, audio recordings, even written instructions were set in place to answer any questions. The message they left was loud and clear. These arrivals were the last hope of a dying planet. Together, they may be able to find a cure. If not, it was up to them to ensure the planet survived. The year is now 2030. For five long years, New Hope has remained empty. The scientists are long since dead and the most amazing creation of their time is slowly crumbling from neglect and decay. Yet the LHC has never once faltered in its daily attempts to open the hypothesized rift. And at long last, it is beginning to succeed. New people are arriving almost daily. Some pulled here without their knowledge, some coming in the name of exploration. Beings of all shapes and sizes, all walks of life, now roam the streets of New Hope.
