* The Fruitful Project is in no way possible affiliated with "The Eden Project" (eden_project). They are two separate games with two separate plots and separate mods. Any similarities seen between the two are completely coincidental.
Original Character. Future. Arranged Marriage. 17 & Up. In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared, and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded. The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five. It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known. It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing. Now in 2048, after the population has dropped to below three billion, a solution has been found. The same lab that came up with the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the clean and near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty. The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by either offering it for people to take willingly or slipping it into the water. To further insure that the population will continue to grow, a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law. Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive. The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match? A note about the mods: The mods at Fruitful are experienced players who have seen their fair share of fantastic games...and the not-so fantastic games. First and foremost, they are players who want to be a part of an active, successful game. They are here to listen to your opinions, and to create a community of players, not just a game for characters to be played in. The mods care about any player who is accepted or even just thinking about applying. Every character will have some sort of plot to participate in, and no entry a character makes will be ignored. The role play is set in a fictional town by the name of Innovo, California. It is the year 2048. newbies»» rules » application » played bys & holds » wanted characters » faqs »»information» full plot » the world in 2048 » innovo, california »communities»» the fruitful project » fruitful ooc profile layout » For the betterment of our world. |

GAME BEGINS DECEMBER 27. Join today>>>>> |
Over twenty-five years have passed since the "strange" and "indescribable" events had occurred in the small town of Hollow Creek, North Dakota. The aftermath of foolish games and uncontrolled power left many scarred, few dead and a demon bound to an object, never to be released. With the passing of time came the next generation of those involved in those events. Spread out across the nation, and even across the ocean, no one ever expected that history would repeat itself hundredfold. The summer of 2010 was one of curiosity, new experiences and definition of oneself: it brought together a few young adults in Hollow Creek and the areas surrounding it to form a coven. Past objects were found tucked away in the storage of the town's church- a plethora of books, notes and essential items one would need for witchcraft. And again with the foolish, unknowing acts of children, the past was released in the form of a vengeful demon. Now, in various parts of the country, people connected to the events are being hunted down by the demon and those that wish to follow it. The supernatural world is in a stir over the awakening, while those clueless to the past watch as their reality is tipped over with their own discoveries and the deaths of their loved ones. histoire . socialnet . librarium Praeter starts December 19th. |
premise/types of magic/character list/played-bys/faq/rules & gameplay/application A simple phone call turned the world inside out. The call came late at night from the United Kingdom, and from all around the world, seven mages stepped up to take the mantle of head of their respective families. While some saw it as a great tragedy, others regarded it as a threat to their magical abilities. However, none of them had seen it coming, not even the Time mages, and as the mages scrambled to find out what had happened, they became aware of one thing: certain aspects of their magic were showing signs of becoming unstable. Furious questions arose, and predictably, there was a lot of finger-pointing. How could the Life mages let this happen? Had the artifact been destroyed? Were the former heads of family dead? Missing? Lost in previously uncharted territory? Were their powers going to just dwindle and die off? Disturbing evidence pointed to the former heads of family disappearing in order to move the artifact to avoid sabotage by a faceless traitor seen only in cloudy visions, a traitor that was amongst them. In the hodgepodge mix of ethnicities, nationalities, cultures, beliefs and magic, paranoia is the only form of caution one can afford to have. And so they agreed to a meeting, even though little to none of them expected to resolve matters with just that pitiful meeting. Accommodations and transport were arranged, and the heads of various families would be flown out to Edinburgh, Scotland, with their respective familiars and other promising mages as their retainers. Some say that the end is just beginning. Truthfully? The beginning of magic may just be ending. Especially looking for members of the Space, Time & Mind families. Also, the Life family needs males! |
What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather? Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings. And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness. Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology. Wanted: |
