[Characters most wanted: Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Sirius Black, Draco Malfoy, Luna Lovegood Neville Longbottom, Rodolphus Lestrange, Gellert Grindelwald, Victoire Weasley, Lily Evans Potter</b>] At any given moment, countless possibilities open before us. Every decision we make closes as many doors as it opens. But regardless of what paths we choose, and what paths we do not, Time flows onwards. Just as a frayed cord has many strands, each person exists in different divergent Timestreams, all stemming from the Main Timestream of the temporal flow. Outside of the Timestreams, there is the Nexus, where people arrive when they are plucked from the main thread of their lives at decisive points - days they die, start new jobs, etc., and there they remain as their lives continue in the Main Timestream. People are grouped their with those from similar times so people from different eras do not clash. For each group, the Nexus looks like a familiar location. With only the knowledge of their lives up to that point, they meet friends and family, lovers or enemies, masters or servants - other souls who must adjust to life outside of Time. Sometimes, these meetings bring joy. Sometimes they bring sorrow. But always, they bring opportunities. How you use those opportunities is up to you. 'Trip the Rift' is a journal-based RP set in the Harry Potter fandom, restricted to those characters who were born between the years 1800 and 2050 AD. Players have the freedom to pick the precise moment their characters arrive at the Nexus, which is patterned after a large city dating from the period. But with that choice comes a consequence. Each character will only know their history up to that point. Pick someone towards the end of his or her life, and that character will know much more about people, places, and events than a contemporary who arrives at a much younger age. For example, if you chose to play Regulus Black and you had him arrive at the Nexus before he decided to betray Voldemort, he would be a loyal Death Eater. He wouldn't know anything about his actions with respect to the Horcrux, and he would be shocked to learn he had defied the Dark Lord. Or, let's say you chose to play Hermione Granger, and you had her arrive at the Nexus several days after the birth of her daughter, Rose. She would not know that she had another child afterwards. How will they react to learning about the deeds committed by their 'main Timestream' selves? Will they embrace family and friends they meet for the first time, or will they shy away from them, since they're effectively strangers? Will enemies still be enemies if only one of the parties knows what the others have done? The answers to those questions, and more, are up to you. the venators. Its the year 2045. No longer are citizens concerned with being robbed or jumped on the streets, they have more pressing matters to deal with. "Serial killers" unafraid of attacking during the day, buildings and bridges obliterated in one blow, mass arson, frighteningly large populations of wolves in suburban areas. The government has tried to keep it under wraps, but the forces they had containing and covering up these 'accidents' weren't enough. These were not accidents or the doings of anything remotely human. Creatures thought to be only from myths and horror stories are real, and the government can't compete with them on their own. |

Time, Space, and the Rift is an active Doctor Who and Torchwood role playing community with room for both canon and original characters. Currently, we are looking to fill a few major canon characters (The Doctor and Owen Harper) as well as bring on new original characters before we begin a new, large plot line.

San Francisco. It’s a city of wonder, of diversity, and of things that go bump in the night. It’s a place where people can come to see the ocean side and enjoy all that a big city has to offer its people, and a place where even the most vicious of demons might find a good snack or two. And where you might find a great seafood dinner at Pier 39, you might also find the mangled remains of a person who’s been mysteriously drained of all their blood. But you don’t really have anything to worry about when visiting, because while San Francisco is neither fully safe or completely dangerous, it is home to the three greatest witches of our age – the Charmed Ones.
But times are hard for everyone, including the three sisters. Having recently lost the oldest and most powerful and gaining a long-lost and inexperienced sister, adjusting to their new lives has proven itself to be a challenge even after all they've been through. Meanwhile, Sunnydale's having their own fair share of problems, but with their big bad having gone and sought out something called "the Nexus" somewhere in San Francisco, the Scooby Gang has no choice but to follow.
So come one, come all to Everybody’s Favourite City, where you might find yourself a great dinner by the Bay, or be that great dinner by the Bay.

Liberi Fatali is an Insanejournal based roleplay game set in a world where the things that go bump in the night are bumped back, and focuses on the development of characters in a world where survival is truly of the fittest (or most clever). We are a community for serious writers who have joined Liberi Fatali not only to have fun at their character's more-than-likely-terrible expense, but to take advantage of the world the moderators have created for you.
Liberi Fatali accepts both canon and original characters. The community is currently accepting applications, and will open for business when all three Charmed sisters and Buffy are apped. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A PAIGE MATTHEWS AND A PHOEBE HALLIWELL.
