About St. Augustine is a Catholic School for gifted students. It has been around for centuries, but no one knows what it truly is. The Nuns from the school sent out letters to specific people, informing them that they should enroll. The specific individuals that receive the letter have something special. An ability. An ability to fly, to stop time, to walk on walls…to make it simple; powers. But why are they sent to the Catholic School? Because the nuns believe that God gave them the abilities, and they have a specific purpose for Him. But how do they know who has the abilities, and who doesn’t? Well, every year they get a letter from a mysterious person with a list of names. Names of young individuals with the abilities; their names, address, age, history, everything is included for each one. The nuns believe that it is from ‘upstairs’, but the unidentified person is really unknown. Nobody has seen this person. But they never question. They never ask. They are confident that it’s Him who’s sending the letters. Now the students of St. Augustine are not only being taught math, English, history, prayers, and about the Christian religion; they are also taught how to control their powers by a special group of Professors. They are taught how to control their abilities, and to use them for the good of the people. The students aren’t allowed to question. They aren’t allowed to ask. They are just supposed to listen. But what happens when the students do start to question the nuns? What if they start to question about who’s really sending the letters? The Fruitful Project In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared, and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded. The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five. It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known. It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing. Now in 2048, after the population has dropped to below three billion, a solution has been found. The same lab that came up with the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the clean and near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty. The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by either offering it for people to take willingly or slipping it into the water. To further insure that the population will continue to grow, a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law. Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive. The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match? A note about the mods: The mods at Fruitful are experienced players who have seen their fair share of fantastic games...and the not-so fantastic games. First and foremost, they are players who want to be a part of an active, successful game. They are here to listen to your opinions, and to create a community of players, not just a game for characters to be played in. The mods care about any player who is accepted or even just thinking about applying.  Every character will have some sort of plot to participate in, and no entry a character makes will be ignored. The Premise

It's the year 2004, six years after the war and life has moved on in peace since the defeat of Voldemort in the battle of Hogwarts. In this time of quiet, a sudden string of disappearances shakes the wizarding world. No one knows where the disappeared people are, what's happened to them, if they're alive or dead or even if they left by their own choice or not. Aurors stand without answers; newspapers and radio speculate wildly and the Ministry is in an internal uproar of power struggle and arguments. In these times, Aurors and hit-wizards are given more authority as more and more rules and laws are set aside as the Ministry tries to persuade people they're safe from harm. What is going on? What is happening to those who disappear? Why are some groups targeted more by the Ministry's new actions than others? Does the Ministry know something they're not letting on? And does perhaps the Minister himself have something to do with what is going on? Let your character help to sort out what is real from what is false...

The Game

Enigma is a role-playing game based on the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. The setting takes place four years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ends and the game is canon compliant to all seven books (minus the epilogue). We are looking for creative and active players who want to build a story not only for their characters but for the game as a whole as well. Speculation, attempts of finding those missing and solving the mystery are all welcomed with open arms. All levels of experience are welcome, as long as you're willing to commit to the game and the events that unfold in it. Game will start in January 2009.

We're especially looking for RON, other Weasley boys, Lucius, Narcissa, Rita Skeeter, Amycus Carrow and Rodolphus Lestrange at the moment, but most characters are open for casting still. Date Unknown; On the Indian Ocean there is an island that hasn't made it's way on any maps. The island itself is a wrinkle in time and exists on many planes at once. The island has magical abilities to keep her captors there and also has abilities to bring whoever she wants to the island. While the island has primarily focused on muggles she has a new fascination with witches and wizards. She can pluck any person out of any time line and bring them to her shores.

The island is inhabited with twenty muggles who have been able to survive on fruit, animals and makeshift shelters. They have taken over the southern part of the island where most of the food is found. As the island brings back witches and wizards she places them along the northern shore, her intentions are unknown.

Slowly as time goes on two distinct groups have formed between the witches and wizards, the Hunters and the Gatherers. Everyone who shows up at the island must choose a side. What will your character choose?

PREMISE In 2015, Valley Dynamics, a renowned global technological giant, developed bio-mechanical androids called NeohumansTM. They were hailed as a breakthrough in artificial intelligence and the next generation in computer technology, NeohumansTM became available to anyone who could afford them at the time. Unknown to the public, around the same time that NeohumansTM were being developed, Valley Dynamics was also working on a more subtle version of bio-mechanical androids called Facsimiles that can blend seamlessly into the general population. Now in 2020, whether it be from outside influence or internal, NeohumansTM and Facsimiles alike are experiencing glitches in their programming. Only a small number of cases have occurred so far, just small things that Valley Dynamics have managed to take care of one way or another. But something bigger is coming and no one, not even those at Valley Dynamics, knows what it is, when it will happen, and least of all why. All info can be found at our website and the mod journal. City Of Hills is an aim and thread friendly PB/city based community set in San Francisco, California.

Writers of this community are promised to have control over their story lines. As long as things are kept realistic, the mod(s) will not worry about how much of whatever is going around; especially considering this is a city wide based game. If things get out of hand, the game will address the issue(s) as a whole then. Members of this community have a voice with us and their opinions and suggestions are always validated and taken into high consideration.
