I'm reposting this one more time before I start working on the community.

*Would anyone be intrested in a community with witches, vampires, hunters, and shifters etc?Hunters go after the supernatural and there would be a small paranormal divison in the government that would watch over the supernatural. The government may even hire gifted humans to investigate paranormal crimes.

As for the supernatural? They would have a special organization that consisted of representives from each main group of supernaturals. Of course the vampires, witches, etc would each have their own reasons for actually working together with supernaturals outside of their race. For some it might just be for protection against the Hunters while others may do it to form allies and could be planning something sinister within their own supernatural community. [There would be a leader, a person who was responsible for starting the organization]

Angels, demons, and reapers would be in a class all their own. The details are being worked out since they are slightly more complicated.

Other supernaturals you can expect to see in the game: Angels, demons, Fey/faeries, reapers, mermaids, elves, gnomes, etc
[There will be a limited amount of certain species in the game since some are just bound to be rare.

****Question: Would you rather the setting be kinda country(ish) or more in the city?****** Also, many of you wanted the humans NOT to know about the supernatural, so once more.. Does everyone still feel that way????

An original, brand new vampire RPG on IJ!

CAST, APPLICATION, HELD&TAKEN, WANTED, POWERS&WEAKNESSES, FAQ, RULES, VAMPIRE LAWS&PREMADES, STORY OF ORIGINS

It's only natural that the next best thing that comes along, takes the reins over the top species on the food chain. And silently, for thousands of years, these beings did. By the year 2000, Vampires just happened to be on the top. They outnumbered humans ten to two, and that ratio was quickly diminishing. By early 2005, the drastic decline in humans caught world wide attention. The greed of hungry vampires had depleted their numbers to a mere 300,000, compared to their last years population consensus of six billion. It was time for drastic changes, and humans were quickly not allowed to be enslaved by vampires -- all of which were sent into large factory-like cattle farms, where they were hooked up onto tubes permanently. All of which had to abide to these rules, except for the vampires of pure lineage, whom were the exception of the law. Quickly, the prices for a pint of blood skyrocketted, much like a correlation to modern day's gas prices. Twenty dollars for one pint wasn't even a full meal for the average vampire, and as expected, a revolt insued.

In September of 2006, hordes of hungry tainted vampires had managed to track down the single most largest compound supplyer of blood, and broke into it. Immediately these vampires struck with fatigue and extreme hunger went on a full blown massacre, consuming well over the natural federal rates one can extract from a human at a time, killing nearly 3/4ths of the farm's stock. Within about thirty minutes or so, the government was called in, destroying 650 tainted vampires that afternoon. That day has gone down in history known as Noir Marde, or, Black Tuesday.

As could have been expected, blood supplies were heavily on demand, and at a rate of 40 dollars a pint, many vampires couldn't afford large quantities, and many brawls were the outcome. Deemed the most violent, crime ridden time of America, the government had to take action. As many other countries were doing, they soon followed. Employed, good vampires were given seven pints of blood with their tax return, enough time for Operation EXTRACT to be born. (READ MORE?)

If you could live forever, what would you live for?

An easy enough question it would seem. But what happens when there are those who are eager to rush time, speed up the inevitable, and ultimately, toy with fate? A brand new supernatural game set around a fictional town. Now accepting holds!

Supernatural creatures have always hidden in the shadows to avoid detection from the far more numerous humans. Most of the creatures have moved around to avoid detection and, thus, haven't been able to live anything resembling a normal life. An individual in the the small town of Arton Bay, Oregon noticed this fact. Arton Bay was the home to The Club, a spacious 3-story building that had essentially gone to waste. The Club had closed in 1960, but in 1971 a wealthy individual purchased it and reopened with the supernatural in mind. Since then, The Club has been an unspoken haven for any supernatural creatures wanting a retreat from the questioning of the outside world. Still going strong in 2008, The Club allows and caters to any creature willing not to maim others on club property. Arton Bay, as a whole, also seems to be going strong despite the influx of supernatural creatures. Aside from the occasional question what an "Extra" Bloody Mary is, the locals ignore the quirks of The Club and passing tourists don't seem to suspect a thing. Imagine a world where heroes no longer exist and the only way for the streets to become safe again is for one family to rise above the rest. Everyone has an allegiance here, the neutral don’t stay that way or alive for long. Each member of the police force is bought and paid for by someone, so there’s no point in calling when trouble comes knocking at the door.

The year is 2025 and Chicago doesn’t sparkle as it once did. Everything is dirtier, grittier and more worn down than the pictures in the history books like to show. Glitz and glamour have no place here because a war is brewing in the shadows. Bullet holes and dried blood litter the city’s streets and no one thinks twice if a person is gunned down a few feet away. But it wasn't always like that.

For years the Irish, Russians and Italians occupied the city on what could be considered "friendly" terms. Patrick O'Meara saw to it that the peace was kept and that each group saw to their own affairs. Each stayed out of the other's way and if someone stepped out of line, meetings between the heads of the families were called and it was settled quietly behind closed doors. Thanks to O'Meara, they were all able to coexist peacefully enough. Well, right up until someone decided to pull the trigger and open Pandora's box.

Dante Morelli, son of the Italian crime boss Antonio "Tony" Morelli, was the one who decided to take matters into his own hands. A lifelong grudge held against O'Meara's son fueled his plan for revenge and without consulting any of the elders, took a few of his most trusted soldiers and put an end to Patrick O'Meara's life. It was only a matter of time before chaos ensued and more blood was shed. No one knows exactly who pulled the trigger, but then again, it really doesn't matter.

Now, Conor O'Meara has been called back from Ireland to lead in his father's place and enact a little revenge of his own. All bets are off and both the Irish and Italians are gunning for each other while the Russian's, with a little meddling of their own mixed in of course, sit back and wait for the smoke to clear.

So who will it be? The Italians who specialize in drug trading and follow a list of commandments? The Russians who are notorious for underground operations and clean transactions? Or the Irish who are perhaps the oldest and most organized crime group in the city? The choice is yours and without it, you might as well be dead.

When the anomaly that brings forth a blast from Jack's past also screws up the timeline, some of the team get to change the present...one repeated day at a time.
With enemies loose and time stopping the world in its tracks can Torchwood and their visitor save the days...all the rest of them?

A power greedy serial killer is just another risk, among others.

Can these evolved humans unite to stop the terrors from rising?

Seven Minutes After Midnight is a slightly canon/slightly AU game that starts at canon time October 2006 and goes through the lives of these people. Where will their paths lead from there?

Good and Evil have decided that things are taking far too long. They are getting impatient. To speed things up they decided to create a new world; a world in which the everlasting war will finally be decided.

Both sides will chose their soldiers from different worlds and bring them to this new world to join the final battle.

The outcome is known, but how was it reached?

In late spring of 1997, Albus Dumbledore was killed by Severus Snape, and the
Wizarding World changed. Hallowed Ground is an RPG community for writers interested in exploring the intricacies of what followed, reaching deep beyond what's already known. Deathly Hallows has provided us a road map to our destination but the journey is ours to write, ours to fill in and flesh out. Come discover where everyone who wasn't Ron, Harry, or Hermione went after fleeing Bill & Fleur's wedding, listen to the Sorting Hat's song for a new Headmaster, watch the DA reform and scheme up protests to the Carrows reign, the Death Eaters plan attacks on Muggle and Wizarding societies from inside the Ministry of Magic, and members of the Order of the Phoenix strive to keep a light shining in the dark. Join us in our endeavor to develop the adventures unseen as time winds down to a final battle unlike any writing experience you've had.

Hallowed Ground is searching for the absolute fullest compliment of cast possible. We accept any character mentioned in the seven Harry Potter books who is known to be alive on 1 July, 1997, and encourage insightful takes on both characters we know loads about and particularly ones we've barely met. The game will be played in real time, with some flexing as we approach the holiday season to allow for players' personal schedules. It is set to start 4 November, 2008 (1 July, 1997 in game) and end 5 September, 2009 (2 May 1998 in game), with as much time as is needed after to properly finish threads. Applications are being accepted now; both so that our players have time to get to know each other before we begin, and also so that we might get a majority of characters cast before the stories start, as it's harder to justify adding a character after significant events have passed unplayed. Players are asked to work with canon to develop their own path through the known story lines as we write, as there is already so much available room to maneuver.

Writers interested in applying should know that this will be a very community oriented game, with opportunities to develop friendships, contribute ideas, help see them to fruition, and have your voice heard. Moderating will be done by a council of founders to start, with elected players rotating the founders as we progress, preventing power trips and encouraging player participation while still providing the necessary assistance and guidance to make a game run smoothly. Experience is not required; we firmly believe that a writer brand new to RPG can develop a character fabulously and fully. Seasoned players are also happily accepted with their favourite known characters or brand new explorations, now is your chance to let someone new invade your brain!
