Extraneous is a new game, based off the TV show HEROES. However, many things are different. We are using the ending cliffhanger of season two, to sort of branch out into this game. The game does not take place in America, and will have many things of their own to deal with. |

( Game takes place in Europe, to explore the situations over seas. Mentioning of what happened in the United States is merely for plot purposes only :) ) Right before he could confess to the world that he could fly, two bullets slammed into his body, sending him to the floor. An uproar arose, as Peter held his dying brother in his hands. Pandora's Box was definitely opened that day. The whole world wondered as to what Nathan's speech meant. Superhumans with extraordinary abilities? What was that all about? Their questions were quickly answered when Peter Petrelli spoke to an audience of crews whom were wondering how the congressman's family were doing at such raw times. It was when he was asked about what his brother's speech meant that he exposed his powers. " My brother could fly. " Peter promptly responded to the audience of reporters whom found his statements rather humorous. It wasn't until he used one of his own powers -- the ability to turn invisible on television, that lead people to respond in shock. He even went as far as to reveal the motives of "the company" mentioning various details he saw and learned when he was with Adam. He told of how they would lock individuals up in cells, much like he was at one time -- and how they abducted people with abilities. He also revealed the location of one headquarters he had the pleasure to stay in. Hidden in the city of Odessa, Texas. The response was most expected. Other superhumans thought that display on television would prompt them to use their own abilities in public, if need be. With "The Company" being looked at for suspicious activity, and was later convicted as the files of abductions, accidental deaths and experiments were discovered. Immediately, many individuals relocated out of the United States, otherwise they would be convicted of conspiracy, treason and over 100 accounts of abuse and various illegal degrees of experimentation on patients. As the last order of Bob Bishop, all files and documentation were to be destroyed regarding further details and plans. The Company was no more, destroyed inside out. Or so, it seemed. Peter Petrelli was wanted without a doubt. The government had questions, in need of answers. However, with the last act of Bob communicating with Angela, it didn't take much for the man to realize how much people wanted to really use him. His mother was really the last leg -- convincing him he ought to come to Europe with them. With no other choice, Peter had to do that. Under the watchful eye of Bob, Elle and his mother, they moved across the pond. Some to hide, some to get over the fact America was lost, and some with completely different intentions. |

EXTRANEOUS is accepting characters of all types. We offer premades, and allow room for original characters. Some cannons are welcome, but limited. Game takes place primarily in England, with people with powers popping all over the neighboring countries. Should be interesting to do our own twist of things. :) GAME STARTS With FOURTEEN applications! |
What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather? Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings. And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the older gods, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep wariness. Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology. |
Empires aren't built to last. The Assyrians could tell you that. So could the Romans. So could any British Muggle. In the fall of 1978, Millicent Bagnold will be assassinated and in her wake, by emergency Wizengamot vote (and a fair amount of blackmail), Bellatrix Lestrange, the youngest Minister in history, will be elected. It will signal the end of one empire and the beginning of another, and make clear to the many people who have been steadfastly fighting off the Dark Lord and Death Eaters for years that the time for drastic measures has come. Fault Lines is an AU, MWPP-era RPG. Based both in the more traditionally Canon Death Eaters vs. The Order battles and the less obvious battles fought within the walls of a Ministry ruled by an enemy of the Ministry, Fault Lines is a game that takes big questions such as good vs. evil (and if there's any such thing as either) and mixes it in with a healthy dose of fun and madness. This is a game where you can spend an hour playing out a graphic torture scene and then relax with an hour of witty, sexually-charged banter, or stick to either, if you so please. We're very intent on getting together a group of quality writers with exceptional skills and brilliant ideas, who are looking to experiment with the alternative universe to see what stories they can tell using Rowling's as a starting point rather than an entire route. We begin play on August 5th (but will be accepting applications for a long, long time), and are especially interested in getting more bad guys and any females. We have the vast majority of the known Death Eaters and Order members open -- including people such as James Potter, Lily Evans, Frank Longbottom, Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy, Peter Pettigrew, and Severus Snape. This will be a plot-driven RPG with major plots planned out months in advance and smaller plots popping up all the time. Many of the players were formerly involved with an RPG that lasted a total of four years before being closed; this is not a game that will begin with a promising plot and simply fizzle out. The players are friendly, the mods are dedicated, and there will be a great deal of OOC camraderie between all of us. |

It starts eighteen months ago. The legislation that requires all metahumans to register is hotly debated, but passes in the end. Medical testing commences - genetic rights are forfeit. There are whispers of a cure, but it's too late. Those who resist are neutered, their powers stripped from their blood by vaccine or branding. Metahumans protest, demonstrate, and things are turbulent, but can still be salvaged. Then the Sentinels come. With labels from Stark Industry, technology stolen, revamped, used against us. Public executions begin, of high-profile Metahumans. Wayne Academy collapses under its own political weight. The Hero Network, an organization of metahumans from every walk of life, sinks into the shadows to defend its kind. Now, August 2009, there is no defense. There is no escape. We will hide, we will run, we will try our hardest to survive. But we will still be betrayed, see each other at our worst, fight our hardest. Join the fight. Pick a side. |

Imagine a world where magic rules, where nine moons circle the sky and war has waged for centuries. Welcome to planet Trivald, a world unlike our own. Three species have been fighting for their right to survive, only to decimate over half the population in the process. With a treaty now in place, the people of Trivald put their faith in their children, sending those of 18 to 24 years of age to a compound where they will learn to live with each other, or risk repeating the mistakes of the past. With outside influences cut to a minimum, those within the compound will face trials that will force change, break traditions, and test the bonds between friends and enemies. The sun rises, then falls, the moons pass as night sinks deeper, and a new trial begins at half past midnight.
