Once you've hit the big time and gained celebrity status, then you might as well kiss your privacy goodbye! Everyone wants to know all about you! Why? Because everyone knows that the lives of the rich and famous are far more interesting than anything else. In this community, that's exactly what will be played out. It's the lives of the rich and the famous- the good, the bad, and the ugly. The idea is simple. Just create a character that is a celebrity in some way- an actor, singer, author, photographer, etc... You've seen a tabloid! You get the point! Gotham had been at war for years over the presence of the Batman. Speculations of where he had come from, who he was, and how he got to Gotham in the first place plagued civilians and villains alike. Perhaps they were lucky, like Metropolis, to have someone dedicated just to them, to take care of them, and ensure their safety. Maybe, in the after affects of the chemical attack on a neighbouring city called Blüdhaven, a new hero was spawned. The stories were endless, but only Bruce Wayne had the real answers. There had always been unrest in Gotham, even with the Batman, some arguing that he was a vigilante, sick and tired of being bullied by those lurking in the shadows of Gotham, others pegging him a masked menace.

Harvey Dent, meanwhile, the youngest man ever in Gotham to run for District Attorney at the tender age of twenty five is the new face of rescue and hope. A man not afraid to show his face and not hide behind a mask, one that thinks that Batman could be the best way to catch the kind of villains Harvey can’t understand. But he’s also interested in having the Batman, to take him into custody and charge him, and show Gotham who he really is. Give them their masked menace, even though he believed in the Bat’s vigilantism.

It’s really too bad that the citizens of Gotham seem to have sided with all the villains, all wanting to capture the Batman and know who this caped crusader is once and for all, but some, like Commissoner James Gorden still believe in the Bat. Some, like him, notice that Batman hasn’t been around much lately. Letting Harvey Dent do all the work that he couldn’t possibly do alone. Has Batman been killed, or is he quietly sitting back, waiting for Gotham to fall into disarray until he comes to save them? What if Batman decides, Gotham has had enough saving, and it was time for the city to fight alone with their White Knight, against menacing forces they never thought imaginable?

"Batman's Gotham City is Manhattan below Fourteenth Street at eleven minutes past midnight on the coldest night in November." So what is Gotham like, without their caped crusader?

This whole mess began when some practicing Witches, in their ultimate wisdom, decided to try a rising spell. Now, a rising spell is supposed to summon the gods to transform those who cast it to the next level, igniting the powers within them... only the spell THOSE stupid fuckers cast didn't quite go that way. Whether it was a mistranslation, a wrong turn of phrase, a missed or added ingredient... it doesn't matter, as the next morning thousands upon thousands of humans had been changed.
The catch? They didn't know! The spell had ignited some kind of special gene which only resided in those humans so now they could play mind tricks, have whack agility, breathe fire, shit like that which made us Vamps sit up and take notice.

Our food was suddenly able to fight back and sometimes it was beyond our capabilities to stop them. There were some Vamps who wanted to reach out to them, to guide them and get them on our side, whereas the rest of us - the ones with their brains intact - realised the real problem.

If a Mutaint (like mutants in comics, 'cept they aint) was to be turned into a Vamp, or practice Witchcraft, without knowing of their own power they would be stronger than ten Vampires put together. That gene is like a trigger - once turned it would release a whoole motherfucking mixture of jazz into their veins. We couldn't have that. No fucking way.

We still can't. So what we gotta do is find the 'Taints, and make sure that every single last motherfucking one of them is put down. Our survival depends on it. Witches' survival depends on it. Because if a Taint gets Turned... all Hell will break loose.

First it started with registration. All Weres and Vampires needed to be accounted for. But that wasnt enough. Now they are being moved to Reserves located all around the country. Cities turned to prisons without physical borders.

There is no choice. You adapt, or you die.

Deep in the jungle of concrete and trees is New York City, a place that is considered to be the biggest melting pot of the world. It possesses qualities that make it a true Cosmopolitan city: it’s diverse, complicated, and always steeped in controversy. The population of people residing in NYC ranges from the ostentatious sophistication of high society to the daily grind of average Joes, this is New York City. It is a city where people come to make their dreams come true, or simply fall victim to the temptations that await.

Cosmopolitan is a modern, PB-based storyline that welcomes characters from all walks of life; whether they are small business owners, artists, musicians, Broadway performers, college students, taxi drivers, and even sidewalk vendors. Cosmopolitan is not your typical apartment/resident type of storyline. Though, the main focal area is in Manhattan, NY, characters may live in any of the boroughs of New York.

There was a time when role play was as simple as joining a community and simply putting down who you played, or who you pbed, age, aim name and journal link. From there, you'd have to get to know the characters in the game for who they were by interaction instead of knowing everything immediately. Then came the days when all of the sudden, community applications became like job applications. Suddenly, everyone had to know exactly who you were in your stories instead of letting you grow and find out who you are.

In roleplay, you play someone else entirely. In life, you find out from day to day who you are and will become...shouldn't that happen in roleplay, too?
So a friend and I got bored and created Milla University. Like real college...you figure out who you are. No one knows you and so they cannot judge you. You are free to create you.

The Torchwood Hub is a role playing game based on, you guessed it, Torchwood. It takes place after Exit Wounds with a slightly different turnout. The game is based on a rotating plot line. Want The Doctor to meet the team? Want Ianto to save the day? Want the fairies to make a return? With the rotating plot line, members will be able to request any plot, within reason, that they would like to do. After a certain number of time, from weeks to a few months, that plot will take place. When finished, the plot will go on to something new. Tentative start date is August 1st.

Characters most wanted: Gwen Williams, Owen Harper, Toshiko Sato, Ianto Jones, Rhys Williams, Andy Davidson, Captain John Hart, The Tenth Doctor, and Martha Jones. Other characters are available.

It's not easy being Superman... Spider-Man... Wonder Woman... Storm... wait, come to think of it, it's not easy being ANY superhero. What if you - Mr. or Mrs. Superhero - were given a chance to show the world, or at least network television, precisely how difficult the role is.

I'm looking to cast NINE - that's right! only NINE more players and characters for this game. That will give us a cast of twelve characters and players. I'm looking for male and female superheros from both Marvel and DC universes. The idea for the premise is simple - think The Real World, but everyone is a superhero!

So... what sort of game is it? Essentially, it's a social game, but in addition to the normal aspects of a social game, everyone is being forced to live together. I'm looking at this as a chance to explore characterization... and hopefully meet a few good roleplayers, too.

The application process is simple - it's not your normal hundred statistical questions and give me all the history of your character. It's the basics plus five in depth personality questions... and still, you don't have to write an essay. I just want to make sure you can write, follow basic grammar rules, and give me some idea to the personality of your character.

REMEMBER: There's only nine spots left, and they're going to go quickly. Get your application in today. Priority currently being given to straight/bi males and lesbian/bi females... and ANYONE in the DC universe. I've got someone considering applying for Dick Grayson (Nightwing), but he'd love to have a Barbara Gordon around.
