 SANCTIFY isn't like your typical, run-of-the-mill Marvel game. No previous knowledge needed. No experience necessary. Aren't you tired of the same old " Let's sit here, in the mansion, and watch TV. " or, " Let's sit here, in the mansion, and play in the kitchen! " Well FORGET that. This game has a lot of plot opportunities, and better yet -- this doesn't take place at the infamous X-Mansion, so you can say so long to those boring threads and say hello to some action packed, protecting the country, hiding from these "protectors" and even find out that one of your own, isn't who you thought they were! However, we can't do any of that without YOU! So throw us a line, toss us a bone, and even place a hold! Game begins with eighteen applications. Plenty of spots LEFT. Males wanted. Don't wait too long! |premise The world that you know of is no more. Relations with outside counties have become fragile, and ` `peace` is little more than a dream. The whole world has become a catalyst for fear, as well as war, terrorism and chaos. In a once content land, people live their lives surrounded by death and decay. Countries began to get desperate, each trying to gain their fair share of what the world had left to give. It was not too long after that World War III ignited. Nobody was taken by surprise, though the results were catastrophic. More than half the world was plunged into poverty. The rebuilding took years, but the effects of the warfare were still present. No one could escape the rising uncertainty. Do they continue to progress and grow even when their most avid fans & biographers stopped listening to them decades, even centuries ago? Pentamerone is the last stronghold of human imagination. The hundreds of magical lands and worlds that used to exist in the minds of children are now in a state of decay. As a result, the figures of legend have fled to this newly imagined land. Some are afraid Pentamerone will merely become a graveyard for the last of the fairy tales, others are determined to start a new life in their promised land. It's up to you, and them, to decide how they will survive. Or not. |

During the 1970's, the war between The Death Eaters and The Order of Phoenix raged on. People disappeared and entire families were killed by the hands of the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord Voldemort- and the Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres. The threat of pureblood society taking complete control over the Wizarding World rose, and Albus Dumbledore created the Order of the Phoenix. The blood shed and the body count between the two groups grew and grew while no progress was made on either side. A red scare ran throughout the Wizarding world; people who were even thought to be Death Eaters were convicted and killed without a fair trial.
The Dark Lord used his intelligence in the Ministry to gain what he believed would be the knowledge that would win the war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and through much of his own research he discovered this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times and kill their son.
Lily and James were forewarned of the fate of their son, and managed to elude Lord Voldemort for a number of years- they did not stop living their lives. Not only did they have their son- but they also had a daughter while in hiding. They hoped the terror would stop and they would be able to return to their daily lives, it didn't. Peter Pettigrew, their secret keeper betrayed them and on the evening of October 31st, 1983- he came to Godric's Hollow to kill them.
Things did not go as planned, James Potter sacrificed his life for his family that night- and in doing so he killed Lord Voldemort. No one knows exactly what happened that night- he sent his wife and children into hiding, and as the house fell down around them they were able to barely escape and take refuge at Hogwarts until the storm could blow over.
With the Dark Lord Dead, though no body recovered- the Ministry was able to capture many of the most prominent Death Eaters and those who weren't killed were given life sentences in Azkaban- Peter Pettigrew included. The Potter's had become a famous family, and the fact that James Potter's widow was testifying made the trial a public spectacle. Some of these families were able to buy their way out of Azkaban, but their reputations were not unscathed.
The only trace of the Dark Lord was a package he left with the Lestrange family- containing a few items from the Founders of Hogwarts. There was no note, no instructions- just a few seemingly useless items.
Time went by, and the threat of the Death Eaters became something only remembered by History Books. The next generations started at Hogwarts, and it seemed that all was well in the Wizarding World.
But that was only for the time being..
The year is 1995 when Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts to start their fifth year. No one has any idea what is in store for them.
The War has begun..

Do you ever get tired of searching game after game, trying to find a place to play your character, only to find them taken?
Have you ever joined a game you were excited about, only to have it die a few weeks later, leaving you with a homeless character that couldn't possibly fit anywhere else?
shards_of_time.We are a game devoted to giving you a place to play that character, whether they're dead or alive in canon. There is no limit to how many Mirror Versions of a character can exist, and better yet, it isn't a purely social game - it is developed around an actual plot. If you've ever wanted to play a character in an alternate universe game, but was never able to find a game that fit, we're the place for you.
A rip in time has occurred underneath the Ministry, and suddenly what could've been is very, very real.

 WITCHES • SHAPESHIFTERS • HUNTERS Magic has always been around, simply kept hidden from the unsuspecting mortals. Witches, wizards, shapeshifters, and hunters all existed beneath our nose, fighting amongst one another like baited bears. And, eventually, numbers dwindled between both the Witches and the Shapeshifters that they could be banished to one spot for the hunters to better keep an eye on them, and only watch, for a treaty signed to keep them from dying out completely. |

| unexpectedrpg is a brand new AU Harry Potter role play for those who are tired of the same old drive toward war torn Britain. With Voldemort dead and his Death Eaters scattered to the winds, Kingsley Shaklebolt had stepped out of the ashes as a leader to bring the Wizarding world back to the proud position it had once held. No one had expected what he was about to do. For three years Kingsley led the way in the reconstruction of wizarding society, but his mind was not as sound as he would have the world believe. For him there were two main issues that prevent the community from fully healing: low population and the dislike between those of pure and mixed blood. Kingsley fully believed that by correcting these issues he would be creating the perfect society. It was this desire of perfection that led to the introduction of the Kinglsey's marriage and family planning legislation. As of January 1st, 2002 the Decree of Marriage and Family Planning took effect. All unmarried citizens of legal age are now required to register their marital status with the Ministry as of their seventeenth birthday. Those who do not apply by the new laws are considered social terrorists. The cells of Azkaban now have new attendents. Those who do register in accordance with the decree can expect an official letter stating the time and place of their wedding, as well as the Ministry approved match. With the legislation all marriages are now a matter of Ministry approval. |
