That is it ladies, gentlemen and other beings. You have been pulled in as a pawn of the two above Characters. You have no memory of your life before falling on the Island. It has been a year since you have been here(or maybe you're a new arrival it's up to you!) and you know only of your powers and life you've made for yourself since then. The Island has only 10 hours of daylight and 20 hours of night(yes 30 hours). If you try to escape into the expanding ocean you magically reappear back on it. However, it has all you could need. Food(Whether sushi or blood) and one major city in the center with all types of wilderness surrounding it. The City is called Fortuna(Latin for Destiny) and many creatures walk it's streets(Angels, Demons, Werewolves, Vampires and many more!). Tyrial Dranias is the Emperor and a firm but kind man. Hiro Takeshi is his main adviser and together, along with a military force, keep law and order on the Island. No matter who you are you can make your own way! Maybe you'll be a nightclub owner, wilderness person, hero, or start the mafia! The choice in yours in this very freedom friendly Original Character(OC) Game!

You may traipse about in the graveyard, but you may not go past it's massive gates of steel and spikes. Never, ever. Beyond those gates are where the Daywalkers roam and you are no longer of their kind. Midian is full of fantastical creatures. flowers with faces, birds with human bodies, demon dogs, hybrid humans, and creatures made of flesh and those made only of bone, all which have been here long before those who have died. Some are kind, some are cruel, some are neither here nor there. Some are humanoid and others are spirits of those long dead. Some speak, some are mute. It's up to you to find out. The landscape is everything from your imagination. There are massive treehouses, hills of monstrous proportions, trees born of beasts and trees of skulls. - Mod Journal - RP Comm - OOC Comm - Graphics - - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.

So I've been pimping like crazy for this community because i've only been there a few days but i already love it. Come and check it out, many open pbs are still around and its fast growing. Some wanted pbs are: Megan Fox, Lauren Conrad, Jessica Beil, James Lafferty, Pete Wentz, CMM, Jc Chasez, John Mayer, Ryan Phillipe, Chris Brown, and Kelly Clarkson. Come check it out. “Things are far from normal in Normalville...”

The date is June 14, 2008. The town is Normalville, PA, and with a population of 932, it has always lived up to its name. A sleepy country town tucked away in a valley of the Appalachians, it has been said Normalville is its own little world.

Until two weeks ago. On June 2, the residents of Normalville woke to a small rumbling. Some said earthquake, which is not impossible in these parts, although not likely. That is, until they began to turn on the TVs and the radios. Because they no longer worked. Static on every channel, and a deadly silence where all the radio stations used to be.

There was no one more perturbed than best friends Simon St. James and Mac McGregor, old buddies from the Gulf War. Staying at Simon’s house in the hills outside the town, the two friends hiked up to the north ridge and were horrified to see a large mushroom cloud in the east.

A town meeting was called, where the residents discussed what they knew, which wasn’t much. Frantic, with friends and loved ones outside the town and unable to reach them, many residents of Normalville decided to venture out and see what was going on. When almost a week passed with no word, others ventured out as well. They haven’t been back, but from the tops of the valley ridges, it can be seen that trees are dying and the sky is a foreboding orange color.

Using an old transistor radio in his basement, Simon was able to tune into a military radio station from a base in nearby mountains, trapped in a bunker underground. It was there that the true extent of the destruction was confirmed: almost every major metropolitan center had been hit: New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle. Severe radiation from the blasts have swept the nation. Static prevented him from overhearing who the attackers were, but that the US government did fight back and destruction seemed to be “complete.” He lost the radio signal not long after.

Two weeks in, Normalville is only getting less normal. Due to windpower, electricity still works, but it is faulty. The internet appears to connect only members within the town. Other sites are either dead or abandoned, with no news about what is or isn’t happening out there. The town members have begun to accept that the apocalypse is upon them.

And strangest of all, in the library basement, people have begun appearing. People claiming to be from other places, other times. With the future uncertain and the landscape unkind, how are the residents of Normalville going to cope with this harsh new reality?
