It’s the beginning of the school year, 1997, when the first leaf falls to the ground. It was almost like everything was back to normal. The year before had become a distant memory as the students of Hogwarts returned to school with nothing to focus themselves on besides the every constant rumors that floated through the hallways, their social lives and, of course, actual schoolwork. Voldemort is gone, though some of his followers are still on the run or keeping to themselves to avoid attention. It’s almost as though it’s become another era, a happier one.

Without a war to worry about, the student body keeps itself busy by paying closer attention to the latest gossip or scandal going around the school, passing notes or sharing comments through their journals. New friendships and relationships are made, and Hogwarts has never been quite like this before.

Set in the trio's seventh year, RIDDIKULUS focuses on the school life and social interactions of the Harry Potter characters. We have a diverse cast, raging from those who thrive on gossip, to those who prefer to keep to themselves and their schoolwork, to the ones who love creating mayhem for the heck of it... and everything in between.

→ Following up where [info]snoggers left off, this game is canon up until HBP with details of the end of the war from Deathly Hallows. Everyone deceased from DH are void and up for grabs.

However famous, the owners insist artists "pay their dues" by working as underlings in the offices and playing music nightly. It brokers much touring money with big promoters and boasts professional p.r. but getting the word out? That's the artist's job.

Slack on your job and you're likely to end up low on the bill. Get caught with your pants down? The world will know. At Metro, you're yourself. And you're more. Your reputation is their reputation. So serve it well.

The year is 1975. Rock and Roll, as a genre of music, is changing. Since the beginning of the decade, rock and roll has branched off into several different sub-genres. High amplified and guitar-driven music is largely popular, although not entirely embraced by critics. Bands such as Aerosmith, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, and Queen maintain large followings despite of this, and the radio airwaves contain a slew of one hit wonders and the next big names.

In Rock Band, you will be playing with your played-by characters in one of the most influential musical eras of all time. People to this day still talk about these bands, some of them still touring and extremely popular. The game itself follows a fictional four piece band from New York City who are just starting out, their friends, family, manager, groupies, roadies, and fans. You’ll submerse yourself in the trials and tribulations of them all. Drugs, sex, and rock and roll - it’s all here, waiting for you.

Ever Wonder What The Lives Of The Chosen Ones Are Really Like?

Welcome To New York's Upper East Side, Where we live and go to school and play and sleep - sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and our parents are rarely home, so we have tons of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.

So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'.

It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time.

Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin...

Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team!

2 May 1998 - the day that lies in infamy as the day that Voldemort and the Death Eaters won the Battle of Hogwarts. Before Harry Potter could reach the diadem, before the fighting could truly begin, Death Eaters stormed the castle and it was over before it had begun. Finally, with the Boy Who Lived in his hands, Voldemort was free to do as he pleased with the Wizarding World.

Those who were present at the battle, as well as all Muggleborns and those who are loyal to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, were rounded up. Hogsmeade was transformed into a concentration camp, and all of those who had been captured were imprisoned.

Witches and wizards from all walk of life now live together, scattered throughout numbered buildings in the town. They have duties they must perform, chores that need attending, and what little freedom they do have is carefully watched by the Death Eaters who rule the town. If anyone is caught breaking the rules, they are punished - and those who declare loyalty to Voldemort and the Death Eaters are rewarded. Life is no longer a right; it is a privilege.

All the while, the imprisoned Order of the Phoenix will do what it must in order to escape. But with little privacy, alert guards, and no magic at their disposal, all they can do is stay together and do whatever it takes to survive.

In 1996, the Dark Lord went back to the Gaunt dilapidated shack and found something he didn't expect: a hidden room. This room only appeared to the eyes of the Gaunts, who bared the name. It was very old magic, but now with his new body he could now see the room that had been a secret from him even within his youth. The room itself was a bedroom with lavish decorations, trinkets and a bunch of items that belonged to the Gaunts and Slytherin himself. It seemed to be interchangeable and could be any size, having every great answer that involved the Slytherin ancestry and the one thing he was looking to create: a way to be reborn. His search ended with something simple-- the Mirror of Erised, the mirror created by another who "mastered" death. Erised is the name of a woman who had found the solution to the veil but was unable to go that far with her experimenting. We all know that Voldemort is about experimenting, he stole the mirror after tracking it down from Russia and placed it in front of the veil.

Lord Voldemort spent a great deal of time preparing a complicated, time-set spell that would release in a time where Harry Potter nor his friends alive. When the preparations were finished, he needed to give the task of activating it to one of his followers. He handed it to Bellatrix LeStrange, but she perished and Rodolphus handed it off the the Malfoys. Lucius, for one, never wanted to bring him back and thus didn't do as instructed and neither did Draco. It wasn't until generations later where Cerbirus Malfoy, a far, far, far grandson to Draco that it was acted upon. Lord Voldemort would not be happy upon returning.

The year 3000, no one to defeat him.

LET'S CRUISE is a unique, established, and active PB roleplay community at InsaneJournal. The game focuses on the employees of the fictional company, Serendipity Cruise Lines, Inc., which is based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and owns and operates a fleet of cruise ships that travel the world visiting many different ports of call. One of the ships, the Serendipity Surprise, is connected to the corporate offices via the internet. New characters can either work at the corporate headquarters in positions ranging from vice presidents and managers to secretaries and sales representatives, or they can work on the Surprise in a wide variety of positions in entertainment, food and beverage, the hotel industry and the medical field. All characters have journals which can be read by every character in the game, regardless of location.

This community is nearly 8 months old, and we are an active and friendly bunch, always willing to welcome new people into the fold. We prefer threading over AIM when it comes to writing out scenes, but many of us have AIM for OOC chatting and plotting. Every PB is welcome, as long as he or she is age-appropriate for your character. Many jobs are available, and there is a wanted list for storylines located here. We are very open-minded, and we love to stretch our writing muscles and think outside the box. Storylines that might be considered too over the top for other communities are embraced and loved here. We focus mostly on the storytelling and character development aspects of roleplay and journal entries and threads make up the majority of the friends list, with only one community reserved for the occasional random post. Welcome to Mysteria where the strange is normal. In a town that was founded by supernaturals, it's generally accepted by the humans that live there that their neighbors are...a bit eccentric. Everyone has a secret here and what happens in Mysteria, stays in Mysteria.



Mysteria is an original rp set in the supernatural/paranormal genre. We are a game with original characters in an original setting. We are not a multifandom but if you like shows like Supernatural, Hex, Reaper, Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Ghost Whisper, The Dresden Files, and Moonlight or movies like Underworld, The Covenant, Skinwalkers, Blood and Chocolate, Van Helsing, Constantine, Blade, and other horror movies, or books by authors such as Jim Butcher, Laurell K Hamilton, Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, and other paranormal writers, then Mysteria is for you as the key elements and themes can be found within our rp. We are character development focused with character and group plots encouraged.
