The summer had already started off with a bang for Zahara, she was dating Hyperion Montgomery, the pair had professed their love for each other just last week, she had met a new friend that had quickly become a best friend, she had her original assistant manager up and quit on her with no warning, but she had been lucky enough to find Ruby. With only a few hiccups, so far, this summer Zahara was looking forward to the holidays she had booked for July and August. Her mind was anywhere but on the job lately it seemed though the more she dove into planning the trip at the end of July. It was for that reason that she was coming out of the bright pink back doors to ask Ruby the same question she had likely asked a thousand times before. “You’re sure you’ll feel comfortable taking the reins at the end of July?” She was maybe just a little worried about Ruby feeling overwhelmed and quitting while she was away.
Hyperion was becoming a bit of a distraction in the mornings, this morning Zahara had been a little extra distracted. She had been running late to open and had opted to wear her black chunky framed glasses instead of her usual contacts. She had at least remembered to wear a work appropriate outfit since her father was popping by more often to get the hang of the delivery system that Zahara had put into place. She had worn a new outfit for today, a pair of black leggings that disappeared into her ankle high black boots, which she had coupled with a blue blouse that was belted at her slender waist with a large black chunky belt. It was the fastest outfit to throw on and run out the door so that she would open on time. She was always grateful that her father didn't require her to wear the uniform that the other employees had, Zahara had extended this rule to her assistant managers. They just had to look presentable, no graphic shirts or things that showed far too much skin.
