WHO: Teddy Lupin (v2) and Nymphadora Tonks (canon)
WHAT: Bingo! And also a very late first meeting because we (read: I) are(/am) made of fail
WHEN: [backdated] 31 Jan; Tuesday morning
WHERE: McClain's, the coffee shop down the street
RATING/STATUS: Low/In progress
Teddy was not sure of this, not even a little bit. He should have known something was up when children started attacking him and telling him he couldn't possibly be who he was. Well, that was his first big indication that something wasn't right (even for someone who had been transported 6000+ years into the future), but as soon as that started, he should have gone with his gut and gotten the hell out of Dodge. Instead, when he should have apologised for the confusion and gone on his way, he was about to 'meet' a woman who would, in theory, look just like his mother but not actually be his mother. It didn't matter if she would consider herself that just because she'd given birth to someone who was in every way identical to him (just ten years younger), because she wasn't the woman who had raised him.
And yet. He couldn't quite bring himself to back out on their plans. Because he didn't know for sure that she wasn't. He was 99% sure, but there was the tiniest chance that she was, and he needed that. After spending nearly three weeks without knowing anyone, Teddy was really starting to feel the loneliness.
So he did as she asked and went to the coffee shop--at least they still had coffee this far into the future, so there was that--and waited for her. He knew he'd know her when he saw her, but he figured she would need some...proof. And he had that. Though he didn't usually use he Metamorphmagus ability, as that would call so much attention to himself and thus get them all captured and killed, he still had it, and was prepared to show her he was who he said he was, should she ask.
