BEGINNING PLOT POST

PLOTTING DAY

WTF IS PLOTTING DAY?
IIII'M sure we all know how this works, right? But just for formality's sake. <3

Plotting Days occur at least once a month, providing a way for players to toss out ideas for what their character(s) will be doing for the month, scenes they'd like to do, lines they'd like to explore, etc. Other players can then come along and volunteer or contribute to your plot.

It should also be noted that Plotting Days are generally most active during the first 24 hours that the post is up. If you happen to miss the initial Plotting Day post, don't panic! You can still offer yourself up for plots in the OOC comm.

TIP: Bullet lists are snazzy and easier to read than single paragraphs!

GAMEWIDE PLOT ACTIVITIES FOR JULY
• We're going to open the game with a little founder's day celebration! We figured that would be the best way to get people interacting. I'll be putting up a group scene directly! You guys totally aren't limited to that, though! If your character wouldn't be at the celebration, or celebrating the celebration, you're more than welcome to put up an open scene in the comm!

• People getting focuses at game start can receive them whenever you want. At the founders day celebration? Later on in the night? The next day or so?

• What kind of storylines do you want for your kids? Ask and pimp for them here for them if you want! You guys know how it works!

☼ Ranae will, very grudgingly, be going to the founder's day celebration. It's going to be a case of putting her own feelings aside to give her daughter a good time at the parade, carnival and concert, and in spite of herself--and because of her daughter--she'll end up having a mostly good time.
☼ Any of her friends or family, or even people she hasn't met yet, want to run into her there?
☼ As for outside of the founder's day thing, I'm looking for friends and enemies and former clients for her. She has Cody, Theo, Frankie and Elisa, of course, but I'd like to expand on that little circle! Thoughts?
☼ Ranae's daughter is a mix of Zoey and Chloe from IoS. She's a tomboy, but she's smart and still likes to dance like her mom. Any of the other chars with kids want to be Amie's playmates?
☼ She's a friendly and fun person, even if she's a little bit darker and bleaker than Rae or Raine were, so anyone interested in just a random encounter to see what happens?
☼ Her focus will be coming a couple of days into the game, but she's had her ability for a long while now. Since back when she started in the escort business and she

	I can throw any one of mine at Ranae for a run-in at the celebration. It will be interesting to see if we can create a friendship between Nat and Ranae, since Nat is turning out to be a little less warm than Bea was (which is saying something). Friends with Maya too! » Quinn will be at the founder's day celebration. No, he's not really into celebrating the construction of the city, but he is far more social than his IoS predecessor, so he'll be out and about, hanging around with people and having a good time. Maybe he and Nina can hang out there?
» Quinn works as a pilot, albeit in the limited sense of flying people from Caerulum to Caelum. Anyone who frequently makes that trip has more than likely seen him. Friends? Acquaintances? He's a fairly easygoing guy, if a little know-it-all and brainy. :P
» His focus is to keep Caelum's resistance going strong, and his ability is nerve manipulation. He's had the focus for a few days now, and probably hasn't told many people about it yet. He's still learning his ability. Anyone up for mishaps? He can both hurt and stimulate nerves!
» For a long time now, he's been a huge player in the resistance. He hates what focuses have done to society and plans to defy with everything he's got. I'm sure that's made him a lot of acquaintances. Any takers?

♥ Thiiiis is Ally. She's definitely going to be at the Founder's Day celebration (I was thinking that maybe she and Caleb are running a booth for Graecia in the carnival? Liz, thoughts?), because she is absolutely in love with carnivals and all fun things. :P
♥ Ally is a fan of all things fun, like I said. She likes to laugh and make others laugh, especially her friends and Caleb. :P Her fun is a little muted right now, since she just got her focus yesterday, but she's trying to power through it. Deciding whether she'll actually do it (poisoning the Caelum security leader) is another matter completely.
♥ Her ability is liquid manipulation. She can change the compounds of liquid, essentially turn water into booze (or poison x_x) so anyone who's friends with her can totally get drunk for free!
♥ She's roommates with Soli and Maya (right?), and I think I saw somewhere that Carly lives in the same building as they do, didn't I? So, shenanigans between those four, maybe? Ally loves girl time.
♥ Things with her brother (Caleb) and brotherly!friend (Theo)? As much as she loves time with her girls, she loves her bro and bff!bro too!
♥ Other friends and enemies and whatnot? GIMME PLOT AND STUFF.

× Ah, Gavin. Gavin sort of follows the character type of Brandon and Nick, but he's a little bit of a mesh between the two. He's got Brandon's soft side, but he still has Nick's temper. He's definitely still got the explosive grumpiness, but he's kind and friendly (friendlier? XD) to the people he does care about. XD
× Gavin, unless given a good reason to attend, won't be attending the founder's day activities. He'll probably chill in his apartment and, maybe, watch the parade from window.
× He's had his focus for about five months now, and it's to prevent the assassination of one of the Meta-Dantis' high command members.
× Siiiiiister! Let's talk about stuff, k? Would Vannah (which is what Gavin calls her, he says O_o) spend a lot of time at his place? Does she let him watch the Little One much?

↔ Yuri is an interesting dude. He's classy and cultured, but he's... well, he's definitely prickly. He's a creative type (he's an artist, but he's definitely taken an interest in other aspects of art, too), and he's fiercely protective of the people close to him. Definitely not a fan of the MD and the way society is, though.
↔ He's leading the Caerulum resistance. He runs it out of the basement of his art gallery, which is locked up and hidden from the public. His face is pretty public, however, as he's made an enemy of some of the MD's people.
↔ Ironically enough, his focus is to prevent any assassination attempt on the Meta Dantis over the course of seven years. He's had it for a month now, and he's still deciding whether or not he wants to complete it or not.
↔ Accompanying his focus is the ability to sense danger. His Danger Sense, however, is tied into his own perceptions of people, which can tend to make it pretty fallible.
↔ He spends most of his time that he isn't with the resistance with his brother and sister, who are the only family he has left. He lost his wife, mother and sister to the focus curse, and he's still very bitter to it. That's what drove him to the resistance.

◘ Oren is something of a nice-guy-pushover. He'd do just about anything for the people he cares about and he loves to be around people. Thus, he'll most likely be going to the Founder's Day celebration, not only for his adopted son Sam, but for himself. He's a social person.
◘ Growing up, Oren had a tough relationship with his parents, but a strong and loving relationship with his brother. As a young adult, he spent a couple of years living in the homeless shelter, rather than living with his parents.
◘ He's a proven genius. He graduated two years early and at the top of his class, but he doesn't really seek recognition for that fact. He just likes academia (though he's also a pretty big fan of creative things). His love for academia (and his relationship with a teacher in college) were what made him want to become a teacher.
◘ His focus is not his own. His adopted son Sam got strapped with a focus at the age of fifteen, to steal a large sum of money from the bank in Caelum. He refuses to let the boy fail, even if it means becoming a criminal himself.
◘ He has the ability of intuitive aptitude, so he knows how things (biological, inanimate or mental) work. It also serves him as something of an ability detector, so he can figure out what people's powers are.

• Savannah may or may not be as prickly as her previous incarnations. I really won't know until I start writing her. I'd like her to have more people she gets along with, though.
• She's a former cop. Lost her job because her focus involved killing someone. So now she's a mercenary/assassin and co-leads the Avem faction with Nat.
• She has a son this time around. 3 year old Austin. She's a single mom, so she hires a babysitter (if someone wants to be the babysitter?) or sometimes asks Gavin. Because Austin needs Guy Time.
• Her focus is assassination. Murderin' peeps. Maybe eventually someone important.
• Her current ability is electrokinesis. So she shocks things.

• Carly has more or less the same personality as she had at IoS, only instead of spelunking, her main interest is in plants.
• Her uncle established the underwater forest project (Antheia's Repose) as part of his focus. But then he rebelled against his focus and died, and Carly was put in charge of it.
• She works with the Traba faction (because the good factions need more love XD).
• Her emotions are generally detached. She has a hard time showing her own emotions, but along with her ability (plant enhancement), she shares the feelings of plants. Which may or may not result in people thinking she's always PMSing. Who knows.
• Lives next to Maya! So is apparently neighbors with Soli and Ally, yes? So def yes to the girl time!
• Is a vendor at the market. Sells fruit and vegetables. Also provides them to the Greek restaurant. (OH LOOK I REMEMBERED SOMETHING!)

• He lives in Sky City and runs The Aerie (the sky city's half of the pawn shops he runs with Cousin Milo)!
• He's Dylan's 2IC of the Nubis Resistance!
• He's the older brother of Oren! And so protective of him that he doesn't want Oren to ever meet his other ego!
• Which segues into his ability, which isn't really an ability, just a pain in his ass! But more a pain in his head than his ass, because a dual personality in someone's ass would be weird!
• Starting a new bullet point because that last one got weird. Mason's 'other self' is named Phillip! And he's very angry and violent.
• Mason is friendly, usually! So friends would be great!

• She's a former heroin addict.
• Plays her violin and dances on the streets to make money.
• Her focus is distraction. Whenever the MD needs her to hypnotize people with her music. (Ability is called Siren Song)
• Friends? Enemies? Random people to harass? She's friendly, just more reserved and doesn't trust easily.

♦ Maya is still the animal girl. She works at Antheia’s Repose with the wildlife (mostly livestock) breeding program. SO SHE’S YOUR GIRL IF YOU WANT TO PET SHEEP, PIGS OR COWS. XDD
♦ Her personality is pretty much the same too, so outspoken and optimistic and makes friends easily enough.
♦ She hasn’t settled on a faction either, but she’s done some work with the Traba faction.
♦ Her focus is pretty long term and not at all dangerous (unless you’re afraid of large cats), and when she received her focus she also received a cyber mind, so girl can recall things like crazy!
♦ Lives with Ally and Soli, and I think some days she probs wonders why and those are the days she ends up camping out at Carly’s place. XD
♦ Has a thing for Caleb, but it still firmly in denial-land.

I would LOVE some more plot with her! Maybe a thread in the carnival/concert thing?

❋ Elisa has just received her first focus; she’s supposed to retrieve information from the MD’s second in command and pass it along to the resistance. The only problem is she doesn’t know how to get the information she needs and she only has three months to do it in. So she’s a little stressed right now.
❋ She’s also wickedly smart, but refused further education in hopes that she’d stay out of the grasp of the MD.
❋ Currently she waits table at a seedy nightclub called The Mile High Club, where she consistently has to tell patrons she’s not for sale.
❋ Lives with her sister, Frankie.
❋ She really only has Frankie and Ranae in her life currently (and maybe Jo, depending on how they get along), so I would love a couple more connections.

✧ Milo runs with the Sub Aquam faction and is currently (and happily) focus-less.
✧ He was a surfer, so he's more comfortable in the water than the air, hence him putting down roots in Caerulum.
✧ He also owns The Grotto/The Aerie with his cousin, Mason, and is responsible for the day to day of The Grotto.
✧ Overall he’s an easy guy to get along with, unless you’re Gavin Stone and then it’s ALL ANIMOSITY.
✧ He’s pretty tight with both of his cousins, I think, but aside from them doesn’t have a lot of connections. Except he’d probably at least be familiar with Yuri because of faction things, and Dylan because of Mason’s connections to the faction in Caelum.
✧ I do not have a lot of things set in stone with him!

✪ Natalya, who commonly goes by Nat because Natalya is a mouthful and she doesn’t expect people to spit that out, is the co-leader of Avem with Savannah Stone.
✪ Her family also has ties to the MD and the higher society of the two cities, though she’s renounced any of her family rights because she didn’t want them.
✪ She’s an assassin for hire, and some would probably think she doesn’t have a conscious, but she does. She's probably also one of the go-to girls if you need someone snuffed quietly and efficiently... which sounds a little morbid.
✪ At game start she’s just gotten the news that her younger brother, Markus, has been given a focus to assassinate someone, so she’s also not a happy camper.
✪ In general she’ll be a lot like Bea, except with even less soft edges, so that should be interesting.
✪ I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HOW SHE’LL INTERACT WITH PEOPLE. XDD

❖ Theo Saint-Clair is a con-man/thief and a occasional member of Sub Aquam (when it suits him).
❖ He used to run cons with a partner, Edele, until she didn’t complete her focus, and now he occasionally lets Ranae Aucoin in on the cons, when he thinks he can use her help.
❖ Within the last six months he received a focus to help a young girl, Katlyn, with her focus, so he carries the responsibility of that on his shoulders.
❖ He’s tight with Gavin Stone and Jairus West, so it’s possible that if your character knows one of them they’ve at least met Theo.
❖ He’s also not a big fan of the Caelum because he’s not a big fan of heights, but he goes between the two cities fairly regularly.
❖ Overall he’s a friendly guy, so first impressions are usually good with him.

♥ This would be Soli 2.0 (or technically 3.0, but only Mandy is familiar with the first Soli) – but unlike the Soli of IoS, she’s not whining. She’s still against work and would rather just have fun ALL THE TIME! But she’s rougher around the edges and sees no point in whining. I’d love to see if I can get her interacting with more people than her predecessor.
♥ She’s an artistic type, so I’d love to get her connected in with people like Nina possibly, and of course Yuri (since he’s a part of her focus anyway). She’s a free spirit and kind of a rebel. And right now her ability is shapeshifting, so that could be interesting.
♥ Friends? As of right now she’s got Ally and Maya as friends, and Carly? (Lucy, I think we talked about Nina as well, yes?) But anyone else would be awesome as well. XD
♥ History with people? Possible one night stands? Or random people she flirts with for fun?
♥ Faction connections? Currently she’s unaffiliated, but I’d be open to someone from Sub Aquam trying to nab her or even someone from Pisces pursuing her to join their faction.
♥ She’s at the Founders Day Celebration, so if someone wants to deal with her I’d love to toss her into a scene.

✦ Here’s Frankie 2.0 – She’s still her odd and offbeat self, probably more along the lines of April than IoS Frankie. She’s a bit of a sneak and opportunist when it comes to survival, some could even say she’s maybe a little on the criminal side of things. But her world isn’t black and white, so she doesn’t see it that way.
✦ Right now she’s got connections to Ranae and Elisa, and I believe we talked about an friendship between Jo and her, right Lucy? But I’m definitely open to more connections for her. She’s social and needs things to occupy her time.
✦ Frankie works a seedy strip club as a waitress – she’s not a fan of her job, but she knows it could be a lot worse. So possible patrons she’s run into or regulars would be awesome. <3
✦ Just recently she lost her boyfriend to the focus curse, and has just received her own focus. One that involves getting close to the Meta-Dantis’ nephew. As of right now she’s on the fence about completing it.
✦ Her ability as of right now is Teleportation. I’d love to explore that in some way, so any takers on Teleportation adventures?
✦ THINGS AND STUFF! HAVE AN IDEA? THROW IT AT ME. XD Frankie would be at the Founders Day thing, even if she’s not feeling all that celebratory right now.

✤ Dylan is pretty much Cody 2.0 – So a good guy who’s prone to doing what’s right or what he feels is best. Right now he’s the owner of a pub and the leader of the Nubis resistance. He lost his wife to a focus, so he’s got a strong desire to end them.
✤ FRIENDS! Right now he’s got Mason as a friend and Renae, but I’d love for him to have more!
✤ Also connections through his kidlets, maybe babysitters or something else? He’s got two little girls this time around and definitely feeling a little lost when it comes to dealing with them.
✤ His ability is Vertigo inducement – I’d love to play around with this, maybe screw with people a little bit?
✤ Celebrations aren’t really his thing, but I’m open to him running into someone at the Founders day celebration – he’s still a friendly guy, if a little moodier due to the lose of his wife.

✪ Jairus is pretty much the same old Jairus, though he’s got a rockier relationship with his family – he’s still the nice guy who gets along with everyone. XD
✪ Tranquility is his current ability, one that he’s sort of resentful of since it’s also linked to the horrible focus of kidnapping a kid, so yeah – he’s struggling with that at the moment.
✪ Hacker things! Lucy, I know we definitely talked about striking up a friendship between him and Nina, and possibly Jo! I’d love to explore both of those things. XD
✪ And Things with the bros! And I know you wanted to actually manage a friendship between him and Renae, Lizi. <3
✪ I don’t really have a whole lot plotted out for Jairus right now, so throw plot ideas at me if you’ve got them. XD
✪ It could be really interesting to have different faction leaders approach him, since he’s currently factionless and bounces around helping ‘em all out when needed.

✯ Caleb is basically Gabe reincarnated – not a lot has changed on that front. So he’s still sarcastic and still has the BIGGEST THING EVER FOR MAYA! But now he’s also a fiercely protective older brother to Ally, so yeah – don’t screw with his baby sister.
✯ His focus has him going into politics and his ability is Tychokinesis – he kind of controls luck in a sense.
✯ Friends! Currently his list of friends consists of his sister and her roomies, so I’d love for him to have more connections…. possibly of the male variety so he’s not hanging around women all the time.
✯ Right now he’s connected to the Pisces faction, so I’d love for him to do something with that – Although I think he might be the only member of that faction currently, lol.
✯ Plots? I’ve got even less plotted out for him – so if you want Caleb for something, let me know. XD
✯ And he is going to be at the Founders day event, so if someone wants him for a scene I’d love to toss him in there. (Maybe Ally?)
