Hannah awoke with a groan. Her head was throbbing and it took a moment for her eyes to focus. Perhaps everything had been a bad dream, a strange nightmare that had been a result of the added stress that had been piling up throughout the week. But as her eyes darted around the room she realized it didn’t look like her flat at all. And then she finally settled on the three strangers, her kidnappers, and Hannah began to panic. She had lost, and Merlin only knew what they planned to do with her now.
She attempted to move, a last ditch effort to escape even though she knew that it probably wouldn’t work, only to realize that she couldn’t move her body at all. “Let me go,” she gasped, suddenly finding it difficult to breathe in her nervous state. She had meant for it to come out as a demand, but even to her ears it came out more like a pathetic whimper. “Please,” she finally added with wide eyes.
