Who: Spencer, Dina, Roger, Serena Where: Spencer's townhouse What: BBQ Season has begun!
The weather had been unseasonably warm for the last week and in anticapation (or was it fear that England's gloomy weather would creep back at any moment) of summer, Spencer had decided to have a small Barbeque at his newly minted townhouse.
The house was a change from his usual minmalistic, sleek flats, but after spending too much with Draco and Parvati at their manor, something inside had triggered in Spencer forcing him to make the move a few months back. Yes, changes were abrewing for Spencer Capper. Blue eyes fell on his girlfriend as this thought went through his head but he merely smiled when she raised her eyebrows at him. That would come later.
"Sorry I'm late, guys!" Serena Fawcett chirped as she bustled onto the porch, "I have no excuse: I just run chronically late. I brought wine to compensate though!" She held up two heavy glassed bottles. "Hi." She greeted Roger cutely, nose scrunching.
"No problem. Now I can get a-cookin!" Spencer slapped his hands together in anticipation, flooding the grill with flames from his wand.
"How come there are so many steaks?" Serena asked, staring at the 12 steaks Spencer had seasoned and readied. "I thought it was only us today?"
"Well, you never know when one steak may not be ideal." Spencer noted vaguely. The real reason was that he was so anal that if anything went even slightly off with his steaks: As in, a fly landing on one, or what happened last year (the edge burned 1mm in), then Spencer would consider them unfit to serve to his guests. After every BBQ last year, Dina and Spencer had a weeks worth of leftover steaks to eat. It...had not been pleasant.
