Tracey took the opportunity to duck out without replying. The temptation to smile back at him was too strong.
It wasn't until she was in the shower that she realised that she'd basically run away from him. She, Tracey Davis, who led men around on leashes and should have had a complete hold over this moonstruck pup, had gone and run away from him. What was it about him that made her act completely out of character?
It couldn't have been just the sex. She'd had good sex before (well, all right, last night had been really good) but she'd never been that affected by it. Was it his thoughtfulness? No - she'd had breakfast brought to her in bed before. Maybe it was the warmth in his smile as he looked at her looking all rumpled and still made her feel like she was the most beautiful woman in the world. She rather liked that.
Still, it was unsettling.
So she took extra care in the bathroom to make herself look at least presentable before she came out again. She would have liked to have completely made herself up, but that would take hours and she really needed coffee. With her face still bare of make up but at least no longer rumpled and stinky, she made her way back to the kitchen.
