Hermione made her way through the bundles of people as she made her along the street to Ron's. She had a lot to talk to him about, and she didn't like waiting on this sort of thing. It was bad enough she hadn't been able to fine the time in the last day or so, and talking to him about it at the Ministry didn't seem a wise choice in Hermione's mind.

Finally making her way to his building and his flat, Hermione didn't hesitate to knock on the door in her usual matter-of-fact manner.

He'd been working nonstop as of late, so Ron was always generally excited when he managed to scramble a day off in for himself. He had been home, lounging about in an armchair with the newest edition of Quidditch Weekly spread out in front of him. The Weasley had been entirely lost in an article about the Cannons and their returning season when he heard someone at his door. Brows rising a little, Ron glanced down at his watch and slowly slid out of the chair. Rubbing at the back of his head, he wandered over to the door and pulled it open.

There, he found, was Hermione.

"Hermione," he started, pulling the door even wider as he gestured for her to step inside. He hadn't been expecting her, but it didn't matter. Hermione was always more than a little welcome when it came down to her coming over to his place.

A smile appeared on Hermione's face when Ron opened the door. Since he was working so much these days, she didn't get to see him too often so it was nice to finally get a hold of him.

"You're at the Ministry so much it's almost odd seeing you anywhere else." She mused, stepping into his apartment. "I'm sorry to just come over unexpected, but I needed to talk to you about something potentially important and you've been a bit difficult to get a hold of lately." Hermione gave him a small, knowing look. "You're not busy or anything, are you?"

"Yeah, well," Ron started with a bit of a shrug, "who thought that I'd ever turn out to be the hard working sort of fellow, eh?" He certainly didn't. Ron enjoyed being lazy just as much as the next person, if not even more. He never thought that he'd be the one to come into work early every day, his heart bent on the work that he was given. He wanted to get on the cases. To help everyone as much as possible now that he was finally able to. Or to at least try.

"If you count flipping through the same old magazines as busy," Ron stated, rolling his eyes. "What's on your mind?" He asked, shutting the door behind her before he began to lead the way into the kitchen.

"Well, I've seen you become quite determined, stubborn sometimes, when you really focus yourself. So it's not a total surprise." Hermione teased slightly as she followed him into his kitchen. She leaned against the wall and crossed her arms.

"Well, I've been approached about reforming the DA. Because, as I'm sure you've assumed, the Renegades aren't quite finished with whatever it is they're planning. And I was asked to extent the invitation to you and Harry."

"I think I like the determined bit better," Ron said with a laugh, "makes me sound a bit more bearable than...y'know, I actually am." He could be a right pain when he wanted to be. But Ron figured that it was a good thing, as only the best could handle his stubborn attitude. He figured, anyway.

He considered bringing out the beer, but he didn't think that Hermione would approve of the early drinking. Ron snatched up two bottles butterbeer instead and walked over to where she was standing, extending one her way. His brows instantly flew upward at the mention of the DA. They hadn't been in the DA for years, had they? Merlin, fifth year. Good times, what with the rebellion against that hag Umbridge and all. "Are you serious?"

She smiled. "You're much easier to talk to when you're just determined."

Hermione was glad to see he decided on butterbeer instead of anything else to drink, it certainly was too early for drinking in her mind. "Thanks," She said taking the drink. An eyebrow raised at his response. "Yes, I am. Do you remember Aidan Chambers from school? He was in Ravenclaw, and obviously the DA as well. He owled me, we met for a walk and discussed it. He wants to prepare people for a war that's more than likely to happen." A pained looked crossed her face. "And it will probably be just as bad as last time, if not worse." Her fingers wrapped around the tight. "I agreed. Told him I wanted to help."

Ron rose a brow. "Er, I remember seeing him a few times round the school. Wasn't too close with him." Ron socialized with plenty of people outside of Gryffindor, but Aidan never really was one of them. He knew of him, but that was about it.

He nodded a little, fingers twisting the cap off of his bottle. "Another bloody war." He really wasn't looking forward to that. At all. "The world won't give us a break, will it?"

"He's good friends with Terry Boot. Interesting to think it was their idea, isn't it?" To be perfectly honest, she had been a bit surprised that Aidan and Terry would want to get involved. All the same, she was glad people wanted to make a difference.

Hermione sighed. "Apparently not. It may have been five years ago, but I feel like we just got over the last one." Her fingers tapped against the bottle as her mind wandered to the kidnapping she'd witness and how much she wanted to put those responsible behind bars. "What do you think?" She looked up at Ron. "Because I want to do something."
