She woke up without a hangover, a very nice surprise. Some parts of the night were a little hazy but one part stuck with her. It had turned out to be a very nice gift and she should show her thanks. There was no excuse for being rude. That's what she kept telling herself at least. She went and back and forth with the idea all day at work. In the end she had her plan in mind, without even realizing she how specific she had gotten with it. It took her awhile to find all the items but she was rather pleased with it when she did.

Dear Adrian,

I want to properly thank you for the Firewhiskey. I must admit you have good taste. Here's a little token of my thanks, I hope it brings you as much good use as yours did me.

*enclosed is a gift basket containing a collection of chocolate frogs, vacation magazines, a map and a case of Guinness attached with a note: Some things Muggles do better, this is one of them. It's better from the tap but what can you do?

Adrian arched an eyebrow at the gift basket and twisted the tag around, scanning the short note. He opened the case, cast a cooling charm on a beer and flipped the top. Not bad at all. But the vacation magazines and the chocolate frogs seemed strange. Personal.

He tore off a piece of parchment and scribbled,

I received your gift, thanks. The beer could be improved upon, but is tolerable.

Then he attached the note and gave a second thought to adding more, but didn't.
