It had been a long road but, four years after entering the programme, Padma Patil found herself a fully-trained Mediwitch. She stood in her parents parlor with the french doors that overlooked the backyard open, letting in the slightly humid but cool night breeze into the room, cooling her flushed features as she leaned against the doorway. It was a great deal to be proud of, especially since she had worked very hard to get to this point finally. A bubble of laughter rose from her chest, her lips parting as it spilled into the silence. Now she could start filling out the application to start Healer training, which was that final step towards becoming fully qualified, which is exactly where Padma wanted to be.
But, of course, she wasn't about to start that process without Parvati with her every step of the way. There was something comforting, knowing that Parvati would be doing what Padma would. They may have grown more independent from one another, but Padma was always happy to be around her sister. They were family, two halves that, when together, made a whole. Padma was nothing with Parvati.
Speaking of which, her head turned. Their parents would be going to bed soon but Padma knew her twin would still be awake, going through more details about the upcoming wedding between her and Draco Malfoy. Padma made a face at the thought of it, uncertain of how to feel about her future brother-in-law just yet. He made Parvati happy though, and that was something that Padma had to admit. If he could make her happy for the rest of her life, Padma could potentially get along with him.
Sighing, the woman closed the doors again, locking them with her wand before trudging up the stairs. Down the hall, she passed her room, going to another familiar place as she rapped her knuckles against the wood. They hadn't shared a room in years (not since third year), but somehow Padma and Parvati always ended up spending more time in the other twin's room than their own it seemed. "It's just me," Padma called softly through the wood. "Can I come in?"
