Parvati's lower lip was jutted out, not in a praticed pout but in a real one. She wished they hadn't tried to repair their friendship. In some ways, being angry at George had been better because there had always been the hope of better...now there was just a wasteland.
"Oh...oh okay. But-" She wanted to argue that no, a break would be horrible, that didn't he realise this might be the last time for awhile they could spend time together, that...
The look on George's face however, put a stop to her arguments. "Okay. I'll...I'll go." She moved forward, hugging him so tightly, "I love you. I'm sorry. It's not your fault, Georgie. We were both stupid at different times."
And then with an air of much too much finality, Parvati walked over to the door, picking up her purse. "Bye, George." Wiping tears from her eyes, she was gone.
