Parvati Malfoy was far, far above being a secretary under regular circumstances, but being her husband's for now (due to him having fired yet another secretary and she having lost her magic causing her husband to want to keep an eye on her at all times) was turning out to be great fun. In fact, she had a blast shimmying all about the Ministry in her adorable work outfits (including the green number she currently had on), saying hello to all the wizards at accounting who mooned over her, and generally being one of the masses.

With some paperwork in a bright purple folder, Parvati walked briskly into the waiting room for the Head of the Dept of International Magical Cooperation, her heels giving a satisfying click-clack as she did so. It seemed there was a bit of a back up, as his secretary had fallen ill half way through the day and only a temp was in place (so even small orders of business had to go directly through him).

Sitting down and crossing her legs daintly, Parvati looked up as yet another person entered the room. "Oh! Ron!" She greeted cheerfully with a enthusiastic wave.

A little taken back at how rough around the edges Ron looked, Parvati's eyes immediately widened, "Oh, Ron! You look exhausted! Have you been sleeping? I know they must be working you so hard and I really think you might need a break! Not that you look horrible or anything," She backtracked, hoping he wasn't offended.

Fingers curled about the bright purple folder she peered at him through her large eyes as she awaited an answer. One year as a Malfoy certainly hadn't changed her too much it seemed.

"I've just been a bit...busy," Ron told her with a shrug. "Can't really afford to take a break right now, Parvati. No one can." That said, he settled back into his chair a little and tried to let the tension ease from his body. It seemed like he was always tense nowadays. Like there was something always around to be wary of.

"So, er, you look a bit better than I do," Ron told her. "How're you doing?"

Parvati instantly flew into worried hen mode, eyeing his tense shoulders with worry "Ron, what are you TALKING about? Of course things are horrible, but the more tired you are, the less you brain will work which means you're not only putting yourself in danger, but when you're working you're not going to be able to give all you can to solving the problems!" Parvati was not the sort to back down, a trait every good Mediwitch had to have, "You MUST have an evening off just to sleep and get healthy - Merlin knows the Ministry needs it's finest auror on top form."

Huffing a little she sat back, "I'm well, I've been working as Draco's secretary while he's without one for awhile. That's been nice." She wasn't sure whether to offer more information given Ron's tumultous relationship with her husband.

"Finest auror?" Ron rolled his eyes. "Yeah, okay. If that's the truth of it then you go on and let the Ministry know, yeah? Maybe they'll find it in them to up my bloody pay a bit." He looked down at the paperwork in his hands and shrugged. "I dunno. I reckon I'm just...I really want to help these people, you know? What with whatever in the bloody hell is going on around here lately, I don't think I can sit around and just wait to see what happens next. I need to be here. Doing what I can." Hermione was one of the people that had been impacted greatly. She'd lost her magic and Ron would be damned if he couldn't find a way to get it all back. That was probably his biggest motive out of them all. It was also why he'd neglected her so much as of late.

"Draco?" Ron scowled a little. "Well, I hope you've been having loads of fun with that."

"Well, I don't see any of the other aurors having as impressive a dark-fighting resume as you." Parvati noted stubbornly. With a soft smile, Parvati saw through Ron's words (or perhaps it was her endlessly romance seeking obsession) to the true care that belay them. "You know, you would make Hermione just as happy if you rested a little. She seems quite worried about you."

Frowning a little, Parvati lifted her chin a little, "Well, I have. It's been lovely working with him, he's a delightful boss." Well, to her at least. To the rest of his employees....not so much.

That was true. Ron had been into more rubbish than half of the other Aurors out there -- and that was all when he was a kid, for Merlin's sake. He shrugged in response to her first comment, then frowned at the second. "She'd be happy to get her magic back, too, you know. Hermione loves being a witch. It's important that she stays that way."

Ron couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Right, of course. And I'm Merlin."
