Who: Hermione and Meg
Where: Diagon Alley
When: Late morning
What: Hermione and Meg run into each other, and eventually Hermione will likely lecture Meg about moving in with Seamus.
Rating: TBD

It was a nice, sunny Saturday, and Hermione had decided to take advantage of the day to look for a present for her mother's birthday. She'd gone through numerous stores without luck and had almost given up when she found a small store that sold antiques and knick-knacks. Deciding to take a look through the store, she was lucky enough to find a jewelry box similar to the one her mother used to own, but had lost as a young girl. It wasn't exactly the same, but it was close enough and she was sure her mother would like it. A small smile flashed across Hermione's face as she brought it up to the front counter to pay.

After she had finished paying and was walking through the crowds of Diagon Alley again, Hermione suddenly collided with another figure and almost dropped her jewelry box. "Watch out!" She exclaimed, clutching to the box for dear life. If she had to find another present she was certain she'd go mad. "Sorry," Hermione said, catching her balance and looking up to see who she'd bumped into.

"Oh, I'm sure they're fine," Megan assured her friend, hardly casting her bags a second glance. She hadn't purchases any breakables, nor had she planned on doing so until she was sure she had the magic to put them back together should they decide to break on her.

"I'm doing fine- good, actually. And the shop is, too." Megan had put a lot of work into her shop, and it was beginning to bring in profits, something she took serious pride in. "About ready for the big move. I had forgotten how long it takes to pack up everything!"

"Good," Hermione said with a smile, adjusting her own bags into a more comfortable position.

"That's wonderful, I'm glad it's all working out for you. I actually am in need of something new to read, I should stop in sometime." At the mention of Megan preparing for a move, Hermione paused. She recalled reading something in the journals about Meg looking for a roommate, but with everything going on, Hermione hadn't really kept up with the news. "Oh, you found a roommate, then? Lovely. Who're you moving in with?"

Now, Megan knew that some people had a bit less faith in Seamus than she did. He was generally frowned upon with dealings concerning female company, particularly any of said company who were supposed to be 'classy'. Megan, as was the case with so many other 'bad boys' namely, Spencer Capper, liked to think that there was more to Seamus Finnigan. She liked to think with a little bit of a polish there was a fine bloke under there who wouldn't try and shag his room mate when she showed up a bit tipsy on some evenings.

"Oh, I didn't tell you? Seamus. Soon! I'm rather excited about it!"

Once Hermione heard Seamus' name, her eyebrows raised slightly and her lips pursed in surprise.

"Seamus? Really?" It wasn't that Hermione didn't like Seamus; he'd always been nice to her, and she actually thought he was a bit charming. She just didn't think it was a very wise choice to room with him. "Not that I'm trying to tell you what to do or anything, and I certainly don't have a problem with him," She started slowly, trying her best not to make this sound rude. "But isn't that a little risky?"

Well, at least Hermione had been somewhat polite in conveying her lack of faith in Seamus. Roger had told her she was crazy, as had George, who she was a bit surprised hadn't tied her down to a chair at the mention of such. Megan supposed that was the disadvantage to having so many blokes for friends. They all tried to play the role of protective older brother.

"I don't think so. I really don't think Seamus will try anything knowing he'll have to live with me after," she replied with a small laugh. "Besides, he knows I'll murder him." Or Spencer would. Or Roger. Or George. Or Michael. Or Terry. Or Ron. She practically had her own army.

Sorry this took so long!

Hermione laughed. "True." She brushed some stray strands of hair out of her eyes. "I suppose as long as you're happy, then." She paused for a moment. "Just remember that men..." Hermione searched for the right wording. "are men. They're incredibly dense and don't always think, they act without thinking of the consequences." She tilted her head as she thought about all the men she knew. "Prepare yourself for some offensive behavior, unintentional and intentional. You know a lot of the same boys I do, so you know what I mean, right?" Hermione was sure Seamus would say things that came out wrong, or maybe bring someone home one night, or do something that came along with living with a friend of the opposite sex that was uncomfortable. Sometimes they weren't a huge deal, but other times they were, and living with someone sometimes could break a friendship.
