who: Padma Patil and Seamus Finnigan
when: Backdated to June 30th
where: The Leaky Cauldron
why: Seamus decides to cheer up Padma by taking her drinking.
rating: Eh. TBD.

To be honest, Padma wasn't quite sure if she should have ventured out of the house that evening. Sure, there was a lot going through her mind and, yes, she did need to get out, but drinking? The fact was, drinking and Padma didn't truly go together well. It was pretty much a no-brainer to the former Ravenclaw student. Yet there she was, apperating to Diagon Alley, more specifically to The Leaky Cauldron. Slender hands pushed the door open as she stepped in from the summer evening.

It wasn't too crowded there, though the bar had plenty of people to occupy the tender's time. The door closed behind Padma as she glanced around the room, looking for the familiar face of Seamus Finnigan. It wasn't there yet and, shrugging her shoulders, she walked over to an empty table. "Anythin' for ya miss?" Tom asked but Padma shook her head.

"Not yet," She gave a polite smile before the man hobbled off to see to other customers. She ran fingers through her loose brown hair, straightening the hem of her short sleeved shirt. Going out wasn't such a big deal for Padma, dressing down rather than up, the look finished off with a pair of jeans. Parvati liked to dress up and, while Padma could say the same for herself, she was more keen to staying casual and simple. She tapped her fingers against the table a moment, frowning at the wood before the gave a quick glance to the door. He'd be there though, she knew it, and maybe tonight wouldn't be such a bad idea.

"That's 'cos I am, love," Seamus replied. Of course, that merely depended on the location. If Seamus had been hanging about some kind of upper class wine testing ceremony, he probably wouldn't have been noticed at all. Here, however? He was around nearly every night. He'd have to make some friends in all the time that he had spent lurking about.

"Yes, but have you ever actually taken the time to sit in one?" He teased, his smile only broadening as he pulled out a chair.

Padma snorted at his arrogant smirk but it was all in good fun as she leaned back into her chair. It didn't matter much that sometimes she truly disliked Seamus, he wasn't that bad a bloke. Regardless of the sudden urges she sometimes got to throw something heavy in his direction, she got along with him. It was an odd thing but Padma wasn't about to look into it too much. She already did too much of that in everyday life and sometimes leaving things be was the best route to follow, wasn't it?

Leaning forwards again, arms resting on the able, Padma rolled her eyes lightly. "Well, maybe not often but I've been to a few. Well, maybe two. Or one." The list dwindled down and a light flush entered her cheeks but she simply ignored it. "My parents wouldn't exacly be thrilled that I was here," She added as an after thought, gazing around the pub. Sure, it was the portal to and from Diagon Alley, but her father and mother had always shuffled through here quickly, muttering how this was no place for their girls. Even now she felt a little squirmish being inside an establishment her family seemed against but she wasn't about to leave.

"So, anything good here I should order to drink?" Yup, there it was: that bit of adventure in her spirit as a small flash of excitement rippled through her. Sometimes she enjoyed breaking the rules and tonight she could care less what her family though, if only for a little while.
