WANTED CHARACTERS

EXTREMELY WANTED The following are (non taken) characters set to be involved in a large plot within the RP, or are needed by many characters within the RP. If you really want a character and find the plot not to your liking, please let us know and we will accomodate you. In Alphabetical order by last name: ????? A character to play a regular character for sometime, but later in the storyline become a serial killer. The character must be a halfblood. HERMIONE GRANGER Harry needs a best friend! And...well, Ron needs a ... well, a MORE THAN a friend :D PADMA PATIL Parvati would love her sister! While our Harry Potter wouldn't mind trying his hand at a ship with this character! MORAG MACDOUGAL As a member of the Renegades who is not in hiding.

WANTED STORYLINES

RABASTAN LESTRANGE'S ILLEGITIMATE SON Male, 23, dark hair Possible Characters: ? Harper, Wayne Hopkins, Cormac McLaggen, or others Possible Plot: Rabastan Lestrange's illegitimate child. Rabastan was married and then divorced. His wife may have remarried shortly after she found out she was pregnant, or even when the kid was older. Rabastan and Rodolphus are now the top two deatheaters...may try and find him. Alternatively, he may find out on his own and has to deal with the consequences. We don't necessarily want a bloodthirsty deatheater character, rather we'd like a character who'd have to deal with the consequences of his parentage, whether he sways to the light or dark is up to you as long as it's played realistically. HUSBAND AND WIFE OF A CHAUVINISTIC/PATRIARCHIAL/ABUSIVE PUREBLOOD MARRIAGE Pureblood, Male Possible Characters: Eh it's a free for all Possible Plot: A Chauvinistic jerky pureblood male. Preferably in an engagement or marriage with a pureblood female. We'd like to develop the ideas of a claustrophobic, pureblood marriage. Slightly abusive. Maybe honestly doesn't mean to be, etc etc. Pureblood, Female Possible Characters: Eh it's a free for all Possible Plot: The poor, suffering, but yet still bitchy wife to the above chauvinistic male. MALFOY COUSIN Slytherin, Male, blonde Possible Characters: ? Harper, ? Derek, ? Montague Possible Plot: Lucius' sister's son. Malfoy by blood. Draco's cousin. Plot purpose is really just to provide more family interaction. Dynamics of their relationship may be interesting.

Hello everyone! :] My name's Ashley, and I'm bringing over Daphne Greengrass and Megan Jones from GJ.

Megan is pretty much the same. She's a very loyal, hard-working girl, as one would expect from the Hufflepuff house! She is friendly to just about everyone and makes friends very easily. She has the tendency to see the best in everyone- sometimes even in those she really shouldn't- and she's willing to give just about everyone a chance, though maybe not a second one! She still owns her bookshop, Jones' Books, out in Hogsmeade, and she still has some messy background with Spencer Capper. Because, really, she wouldn't be Megan if she didn't XD

Daphne has a small change in history in that she doesn't have the tainted bloodline anymore (sorry Aarika, Pansy will have to suffice with only her personality to loathe XD). She's rich, she's pureblooded, she's elitist. She's been brought up with all those high society rules and has learned to be a rather untrusting person because of it. She's not afraid to lie, so long as she knows she can cover it up, so don't be surprised if you find out something she said wasn't at all true. She's a bit on the cold and bitchy side, but she also secretly wants the traditional courtship. She wants to be married and start her own family. She's always wanted to be a society wife and secretly worries that it'll never happen.

Yes, it's official. Veritas is back, and better than ever! We have a new home ...and although insanejournal might leave a little to be desired in terms of naming, it works, and it also gives us who used to play the game awhile back, a fresh new start.

The RPG

So, let's start at the basics. The RP takes place FIVE YEARS after the trio graduated hogwarts. We are still AU for Book 6 or 7, though the horcruxes are all the same. The Hogwarts seige occurred...the students had that big ol battle...and that's pretty much all we're keeping of old history. You can read the 'backstory' section on the userinfo for the events which your character should have intergrated into their own history. Other than that, anything from way back is up to you to keep, and up to you to inform the other players when you do your re introductions.

The one plot from last year that we will also keep is the fact that there was an attack by the Renegades on the Quidditch World Cup. You can make up whatever you want your characters to have experienced there, whether or not you did or not. New players, don't worry about this, just know there was an attack, some people were badly hurt. Arcturus Burke, our Minister of Magic, continues to deny the possibility of the escapee Deatheaters having formed a coherent rebel group. This will be vaguely addressed in a newspaper article soon.

For older players: The spirit young version plot? Never happened!

So, what I'm trying to say is the last five years are a BLANK for your characters, you decide what they've been up to after Hogwarts ended. You decide their relationships and associations with others. Have fun, go wild. Brand new RPG.

Insane Journal

I know most members of the RPG are used to GJ, and I'm not sure if many people have really used Insane Journal (myself included). There are no 'notifications' features, so I suggest you have email notification turned on, ALWAYS check the ooc board, and check threads your belong to to make sure it's your turn to RP.

Also when you comment on a post, you only get your keywords and not a tiny thumbnail of your icons, so keyword well or have your icon page open as you thread.

If you want to change your layout to something nicer that you don't have to html yourself...Go to customize and select STYLE SET 2. Then you can pick ready made layouts, which happen to be a lot better than GJ's were.

Hello, hello! I'm MJ, bringing in the wonderfulness that is Ron Weasley! I'm not among the few that happened to be in the game pre-insanejournal, so you lot will have to forgive me if I get lost with some of the plottage, but I'm a pretty quick learner and I'm sure as soon as I get into the swing of things I'll grasp onto how things work in game. I'm usually very open about plots and I always try my best to find ways for my characters to interact with as many people as possible. I can't promise that Ron will be terribly friendly to certain people, but I'm more than sure that he'll have something to say to nearly everyone that he stumbles across, as he has this big problem about having a mouth that never seems to want to stay shut. He's still the sarcastic, cynical, short-tempered Weasley that he was in the books, just...you know, a couple years older. At the moment he's living in his own flat in London and working hard (yes, working hard, I said it) at his career as an Auror. During his free time, he slacks off as much as possible and probably goes out of his way to harass his siblings/friend. Between the snackage and sleep, of course. I've got plenty info up in his profile if you need more details, or you can always prod me with questions here. Either works for me!

As I said before, I'm always more than happy to get into plots with other characters. Hello! I’m Alexis and I have with me Hannah Abbott. The only thing that has really changed about Hannah is her occupational history. She did attempt a career in Healing post Hogwarts, but the position turned out to be a little too much for poor Hannah. So now, she works at a restaurant called Bella’s Pockets where she recently applied, and was promoted to assistant manager. At the moment she is both excited and overwhelmed by the position. But other than that, Hannah is still the same emotional, sweet Hufflepuff that likes to please people. She is still a bit gullible, though not as much as she was in Hogwarts. The rest is in her first entry if anyone wants to take a look.

Hey everyone! For those of who know me, and those of you who don't, I'm Shana, your main moderator. :) I'm also in my 2nd year of Dental school, which is why during the semesters you can often see me crying and stressing, while during the summer I'm as bouncy as Parvati Patil.

My kids:

Parvati Patil (Malfoy): Yes, that's right. This whirlwind of fashion, giggles and pink married Draco Malfoy one year ago. We decided to keep the majority of their history which no one really needs to know other than us XD But you can check her userinfo if you're interested. This girl is extremely friendly and overall adorable, but age has tempered her quite a bit. As such, she is no longer as intense or prone to hysterics as I once played her. She is a trained Mediwitch but after her 4 years of schooling, married Draco and as such has made a transition to society wife. Parvati often finds her ideals to be conflicting (i.e. Gryffindor upbringing vs Pureblood upbringing) and tries to fit into both worlds, which becomes exceedingly impossible, as she slowly learns. She will be friends with everyone, but wrong her and you have an enemy for life.

Spencer Capper: The word "Preppy" best describes Spencer. He is cleancut, intelligent and driven. He's also a huge playboy. If your character is a girl...he's probably either slept with her or her mum at one point :P He loves Quidditch, Firewhiskey and starched collars. He's a nice guy except when it comes to business when he can be as ruthless as ruthless comes. He's mostly pureblood, but due to that, and his family's muggle friendly motto, he never quite fit in fully with the pureblood circles. His best friend is Roger Davies ....anddd yeah. Be his friend! Or his former fling!

My name is Amanda and I'm coming over from GJ too. I've had a couple different characters there over the years but I've landed on

Adrian Pucey: I've grown quite fond of him *cuddles*Uhm, he's a bad guy and a very trigger-happy member of the Renegades. He's the youngest too which has gotten to his head. He trusts former Death Eaters and idolizes them as well. He adored Lucius Malfoy, Antonin Dolohov and now Rodolphus Lestrange. He's a bit wary of Snape but that will all pan out eventually. Otherwise he's a hard-working and dependable hit wizard (and he despises all those self-righteous Aurors) from a pureblood family but isn't extremely wealthy like some of his peers. He socializes a bit, recruits a lot, and drinks all the time. He'd be a pretty fun guy to hang out with if he wasn't busy trying to kill people all the time.

Sally Anne Perks: This girl I'm picking up brand new for the reincarnate here on IJ. I hope to play her as a bad good guy, every bit as fanatical as my Adrian. Basically she hates pureblood supremacy because her father was a pureblood who abandoned her muggle mother shortly after the woman became pregnant. It's a little complex and I'm still ironing it out with Shana. Anyway, Sally Anne's one of the players in the Blood Dilution Scheme with her marriage to C. Warrington- in other words, a shame marriage the Warringtons know nothing about. So everything is very hush-hush except for the need-to-know folks. Otherwise she's a proper "pureblood" wife from a poorer pureblood family. She works in the Ministry doing secretarial things in the Muggle Relations department (so she can feed selective secrets to her in-laws). She's very kind and good-humored, even to good purebloods. She doesn't show the same open hatred as Adrian, but she doesn't like to power of their blood.

Anyway, I'm terrible at graphics so feel free to laugh at things I produce along the way. My PB for Adrian is Henry Cavill but I don't like him with the shaved head (boo) and for Sally Anne I'm using Amber Heard. If you want to set up any background with my characters let me know. Adrian is actually pretty quiet about his Renegade activities except to ex-Slytherins so if your character ran into him at the pub he'd be an alright guy to hang out with. Amber doesn't get out much except right after work. Oh, and you can find me on AIM as lolita6504.

Hi! My name is Analisia Anastasia Rachel Inid Karalina Ambers. But we're all friends here, so you can just call me Aarika. Michael Corner and Pansy Parkinson are my mental prisoners, and have been, for Godric knows how long.

Michael Corner enjoys sub-sandwiches filled to the brim with lettuce and meat, girls who - even though they like to party - can sit at home and enjoy some quiet time, and male bonding with his best friends; Terry Boot and Anthony Goldstein. He's friendly to the point that if he didn't chat up girls all the time, you would definitely think otherwise. It's irrevocably hard to raise his temper, but I suggest you don't try. He's currently an accountant at at his father's own company for witches and wizards called Corner & Nook Accounting. His father has high hopes of Michael taking over the business. Michael does not.

Pansy Parkinson is a social elitist, and is definitely more outspoken than she was during her fifth year of Hogwarts. Despite the fact that her mother is a total cow, now that Pansy's older she's a bit more tolerant of her daughter's looks, but focuses more on trying to push her into marriage.. Because she's a Slytherin graduate - and doesn't project a healthy Hufflepuff personality ie. nice and thoughtful/bakes you cookies kind of way - she doesn't have many friends. But she's actually fairly well to get along with if you just understand her old habitual ways of thinking. She's currently doing work as an advertising witch.
