Who: Remy LeBeau & The (Tenth) Doctor
Where: The Carnival
When: Day 18: 1:15PM
What:  Remy's looking for his lost Doctor
Rating: R. Oh yes. R.
Status: Complete

Remy's morning had been, well.. bad. He'd found two new arrivals, then he'd found Rose.. then the Doctor, who hadn't even shown any cares that he was alive and well. And then he'd returned that survey to the Management and headed right for the carnival-- since he had looked everywhere else for the Doctor between their argument and turning in the survey. There was only one place left to go, and the Cajun was headed right for those bumper cars inside the carnival, soaking wet and pleased about it, he moved through the metal gate surrounding the giant death trap that was the fun fair, and heading back through the twisted metal to the covered enclosure that housed the bumper cars.

It only took a moment for him to climb up and over, silent feet moving across the slippery surface and leaving wet shoe-prints in his wake, before he came to a stop near that bumper car and the Doctor kneeling next to it. But he didn't say anything. Not yet.

Surprisingly, he'd be let go, and Remy let out a short breath, but was taking that step to follow him, hand gripping the back of his pants again, grabbing hold of the waist band. "S' uh good ques'ion. I come an' fin' you in my be', curle' up like 'dat, an' 'de only t'in' you tell me is 'Gla' you alrigh', Remy.' Wha' do you 'xpec' me t' t'ink?" He was keeping himself at nearly arms length, but he wasn't letting go of the Doctor, not yet. But he wasn't holding particularly tight, either.. it was a loose grip.

"I ain' makin' 'dis more 'den wha' i' is. 'Dis is wha' i' is. An' i's good. Stop tryin' t' end i'."

The Cajun was in step with him a moment, grabbing the back of his pants again. This was getting tedious. Abruptly he turned. "Stop holding on," The Time Lord said sharply, turning against those hands that held on to him to try and break the contact. He was facing the Cajun now, the edge of the platform just one step behind him.

"I am glad you're alright," he breathed a moment. "Stop thinking we're more than just friends. If you wouldn't keep thinking that way, I wouildn't have to keep trying to end 'this.' "

Remy's hold was broken as the other man turned, because it hadn't been very tight to begin with, of course. And he let out a slow breath. "So we jus' frien's 'dat have sex." It was more of a statement than a question and he lifted his eyebrows up slowly. Try to deny you hadn't absolutely loved being with him, Doctor. Go ahead and try.

"Didn' really peg you for 'de type t' jus' have sex wit' anyone. Now me? 'Das a differen' story. Bu' t'ough' you be a lil' more picky 'den 'dat, Docteur." He was calling you out on your lies, Doctor.. or, at least, he was trying to. Because he was pretty sure they were lies. He thought you felt more for him than friendship. He knew you weren't in love with him-- you weren't that stupid, Time Lord, to fall in love with the thief who'd warned you straight off to not fall in love with him-- but he thought you were more than friends.

"Had." The Time Lord corrected. Past tense, very important in this situation.

"I don't and I didn't." He looked away. "That whole bit's over now." He forced his eyes back. "Hear me? No more."

He did feel more for the Cajun than friendship. The fact that he'd defended Remy to Jack and Nine spoke volumes for how he felt about his friend. The fact he kept letting the red head get away with stunts like this one at all made it fairly clear exactly how he felt. However, what was much more noticeable was that the Doctor was quashing it now.

"No more."

The Cajun heard you, Doctor. But don't you think for a single moment that he was actually going to heed your warning. But he wasn't going to push it right now, he was going to bide his time and swoop in when he found his opening. "D'accord." Yeah right, sure. He'd listen. Okay.

And if you bought that, Doctor, he had beach front property he wanted to sell you in Montana. He was stepping a step in closer. "So we jus' frien's, no more sex. No more kissin'. No more not'in' bu' jus'.. wha'? We able t' stan' t'get'er?"
