Day Eight Morning
Who: clone!Doctor, Shannon Rutherford
What: morale boost for Shannon
Where: in the museum
When: Day 8, morning
Rating: PG
Status: Complete

The fake Doctor walked through a corridor of the museum, a smile playing on his face. He wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere and he was rather enjoying the sensation of walking around. Pausing by a window he studied his reflected face - incidentally noting that the snow outside the building had started to melt - and grinned at his own reflection.
This would be... interesting.

He had memories in his head. He knew everything that the Doctor knew, and at the same time he also knew that he wasn't the real Doctor. It was a strange sensation, akin to realizing that you're in a dream while still asleep. And, just like in these situations, he felt that he could do anything.
He didn't have any plans yet, but it would be amusing to see how other people would react to him. Possibly they wouldn't realize that he wasn't the real Doctor, eventually, but the real fun would be watching them while they came to that conclusion.

So, if that was today's objective, he would have to find someone who knew the real Doctor. No point in going out of the Museum, where other people wouldn't recognize him at all. Of course what he really wanted to avoid was meeting the real Doctor, because while being probably very amusing it would also almost certainly mean the end of his little game. And from his point of view he had everything to gain by keeping up this facade.

The memories in his head were a bit fuzzy, and he couldn't get a grip on the details. He knew that some people, including him, usually slept in this building, however he couldn't remember where exactly. He was about to call out for someone when he realized that this would mean giving away his game too early, or at least making them suspicious from the beginning.
He kept walking, trying to head towards where he vaguely remembered the entrance to be. After all, he was in no hurry and he was bound to meet someone sooner or later.

"Oh, that," the Doctor replied, waving his free hand. "You're right, that Tinkerbell must be crazy. She looked a bit childish but perfectly normal, at least judging from her earlier entries."
He looked at Shannon. It was strange how she looked so involved, it wasn't as if it had happened to her.
"Don't worry, I don't think she's dangerous. Tink, I mean," he added. "She might be a bloody nuisance, but that's all." He screwed his mind, trying to recall other posts made in the journal. "Didn't she flip out just after arriving as well? Got angry at someone and left the Gym..."
He shrugged, unable to recall any other detail.

The fake Doctor was still carefully watching Shannon's moves, trying to figure out if she'd realized that something was off. So far, however, it looked as if she had no clue. Granted, this might be because she was still sleepy after waking up, but he'd like to think that his acting skills weren't as bad as he thought.
He and finished his SlimFast bar in a couple of bites. "Now I'd really need some water," he muttered, swallowing. The real Doctor might be used to eating, but he had to constantly remind himself to keep chewing. It was bothersome to have a body that hadn't been used previously.

He grinned back when Shannon admitted that she didn't have any plans. "I thought I'd have a walk around. In the forest, possibly," he added. Now this was dangerous grounds. He didn't know if he would be able to convince her, but he would try for sure. He tried to keep his face straight as he told the story he'd been making up.
"Tonight I realized that with the sudden drop in temperature the wall around this place could have frozen," he lied in what hoped was the Doctor's most convincing tone. "If that's the case I want to go and have a look, it might be the good moment to break down the wall."
